921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PHS][50% PoS] PhilosopherStone | NoPremine |10 month Dist | 1.6.4.1 on: October 10, 2014, 06:35:38 AM
Dear PHS community,

If you read this thread you most likely already know that Philisopher Stone is a stable, honest and highly rewarding PoS crypto-currency. It is however not actively promoted, which has lead to its current undervaluation in the market.

Palmdetroit has asked several times on the thread if anyone could help promoting PHS as he would rather focus on what he is best at: programming/developing the next features of PHS. So I got in touch and we've been discussing how to build proper marketing/promotion support.

With this post I would like to propose my help to the community.
I have a marketing/marketing research background, and I love PHS.
I will not devote more time that is needed, but I guarantee to set the basis for communicating within the community and reach out to new people.

Here is what I propose to help with:
- A clearer concept for PHS
- An coherent design theme/story around PHS (sorry if i disappoint somebody but i have a real hard-time with the old multicolored logo)
- An updated website reflecting PHS story and proposition
- Relaying news about PHS on Twitter and Facebook - and possible 1 or 2 other platforms
- Participation in Bitcointalk forum (at least once/twice a week)

There is already a reasonably big Facebook and Twitter community re PHS - Philosophers Crypt. These accounts have interesting content but little news re PHS and a concept/design that can be improved. If you own these pages, please get in touch!

Obviously if anyone else wants to jump in and help it would be great! For instance, I'm a marketing professional, not a designer. So if anyone wants to drop an hour or two from time to time it would save me days of clumsy design work!

We start from a low base, any idea/action will help Philosopher Stone, so don't hesitate to contribute, even if it's just 5mn of your time Smiley

Finally, Palmdetroit confirmed there are some news coming soon, so promoting the coin will be easy!!

PS - I've just bought a few extra PHS, sorry if I'm not helping you load on undervalued coins....  Wink

Was going to stay out of this bickering but something is definitely rotten here.

A lot of anonymous coins are coming out.
Most of the newer ones are both 'trustless' and do not involve introducing new variables that could serve as back doors.

So many people here are trying to force others to trust Anoncoin and Zerocoin. I do not trust it. I do not trust the pushy people trying to confuse others with big words. It looks like a tag team wrestling show. A lot of fake arguments to sell tickets.

Some expert needs to look into this and find out what is going on. And by expert I don't mean the bs experts on this thread.

Great, it seems you already know where not to invest; it's half the problem solved.
Now you only need to figure out what anonymous coin is right for you. Feel free to PM me for a 101 introduction and some investment tips; i can help you !

I'm glad to see that Noblecoin has continued to persevere through this fairly tumultuous time (i.e., the price of btc starting to downtrend quite heavily). I really see NOBL being one of the lasting coins from early 2014 (a.k.a. 2.0 coins). Keep up the great work Rofo and team!

Absolutely agree. Thanks to the commitment and dedication of the team NOBL is here for the long run!

Therefore I recommend a Proof of Developer Analysis:
http://cryptoasian.com/

Gnosis, is that possible?

Keep in mind I'm not a serious cryptographer, just an implementer of crypto Smiley
Source: https://pay.reddit.com/r/ZeroCoin/comments/1uy35p/matthew_green_to_speak_about_new_zerocoin_version/

Nice to see you online Gnosis. Is the "Proof of Developer Analysis" possible to do with you or not?

Isn't PoD analysis just to screen scam coins before they launch? A 1 year+ history of ANC beats any so-called analysis...
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Checkcoin] Geolocation Reward System & More! [ICO started, POD 5+] on: September 17, 2014, 06:58:33 AM
The plan was, and is still, to delete the remaining ICO coins at C-CEX and Bitsend don't need them to develop CKC...
I don't see why any change should be made.

Changing the plans as this point will not build trust, no matter the pressure from the community.
926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VLT] VolatilityCoin| x15 |POD| ~ A CryptoCoin Index | Launched!! on: September 16, 2014, 05:24:20 PM
"Volatility coin will reach high values in price if the market is having high volatility or when its crashing,
the measure of volatility will be in either direction including to the upside or downside. In other words,
when investors anticipate large upside or downside movements in the upcoming days, volatility coin will peak in value.

This will be done by our volatility indicator that will be displayed on the website and we are going to integrate in the wallet,
the volatility indicator will be the average volatility in the top 20 crypto curencies not counting if its upside or downside."

The idea is cool but I don't see how the coin delivers what it claims.

For instance I don't see any the mechanism by which the coin value would depend on volatility. Displaying the volatility on the website and the wallet is not what i would call a mechanism... The price of this coin will be fixed by the market like every other coin.

If there is something I missed please care to explain how is the price tied to volatility??

Dont make fuds and first read the op, it will be done by a bot.

Please explain further - I did read the OP (even copied part of it in my post) - I don't want to FUD, just to understand... how can a bot define the market price? How is it funded? ...etc.

Ridiculous bot action on Cryptsy. Need to say goodbye to that exchange.
agree. but aslong ppl continue to trade their because they stick to the high volume exchanges, this never changes :S

Agree. Kindly suggest an alternative.

For what it's worth I don't think any code (inc RSA_UFO) should be posted before ZC live release...

If you want to establish ANC as the go to coin for anonymity you need the message to be heard before it's swamped in the midst of copycats!
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - *GOING PoS*NOBL/$USD*MARKETPLACE*55 CHARITIES/MERCHANTS* on: September 13, 2014, 12:13:37 PM
Thanks for your reply Rofo.

I'm confident that once it's deployed it will be right.

Sorry if that sounded like harsh criticism, if anything this turmoil period helped me triple my investment in NOBL so I guess i shouldn't complain.

Indeed what happens outside of the technical side is what will make the coin successful in the long run. NOBL is not a shitcoin clearly, but it may be perceived as one by some due to the lack of clarity/indecisiveness on the programming side.

PoS it is; merge-mining may only just delay the inevitable for PoW... Follow-through is certainly more important for NOBL than technology.

I'm eager to see this page turned!

Huh Huh
Don't get too excited guys. It's not that the volume was very high. One can move the market significantly with "only" 5 BTC : )

@ TheKoziTwo - Nice stats : )

Makes sense.

The anecdote was the funny part, the message here is that ANC could be more actively promoted by supporters on Twitter.. It seems Newbies accounts are taken more seriously on that platform Wink

Count on me!
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NobleCoin[NOBL] - *GOING PoS*NOBL/$USD*MARKETPLACE*55 CHARITIES/MERCHANTS* on: September 13, 2014, 11:08:21 AM
wow!!!I just find out the dev is working on this project since jan! What am i missed....I will invest and do some promotion job! you are really good dev!

So, 8 months for a hard-fork gets you excited? Psychology can be funny, I'd encourage you to check this- http://danariely.com/2010/12/15/locksmiths/

I'm a supporter of NOBLE from day 1 but this situation with the move to POS looks incredibly bad.

The Noble team probably wants to make it right and think it through thoroughly, and release a fully stable and perfect version. It looks serious (and I'm sure it will be), but damn it looks slow compared to other coins, and not so reassuring re the team's programming skills.

This is probably the low programming efficiency and the ongoing lack of clarity on the coin future that lead to V2 not including NOBL... think about it.

I hope when this is sorted out Noble will continue to grow in popularity and appeal, but certainly the past few months were not good at all in that regard.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [KEY] KeyCoin | Fair Launch | 9/01 Update: KeyOS RC1, KeyTrader v2 on: September 12, 2014, 12:25:38 PM
What are the reasons such jumps in the price?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=741728.msg8784778#msg8784778

Take from this what you want, but I am no longer supporting Keycoin.

First of all, KeyCoin's anonymous solution was not taken from Cryptcoin. I don't have any contact with the developer of that anonymous technology (I don't think anybody does). I am not associated with Halcyon either, and have neither seen their code nor spoken with the developer.

Like I have mentioned before, the next upgrade to our technology that the community will see will probably be KeyTrader. We have been debugging for cross-platform use and are very happy with the progress of our internal tests. We are not in a race to release technology, we would rather have useful and reliable products. Nevertheless, we are still working, regardless of price or rumors.

Thank you for your past support, and good luck with your future investments.

Keycoin, appreciate your work and your attitude; KEY has a great future Smiley

GUYS

Are you watching the price explosion at Cryptsy?

Imay be wrong.....but maybe there is a massive pump going for our coin !!!!!!

It seems 1 tweet this morning announcing the date to confirm the date of ZeroCoin completed coding was enough to do just that. Imagine when the big news come... And I guess when the big news come we'll all know where to post them Wink

936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: August 27, 2014, 01:16:41 PM
Best for anonymity would be to automatically convert all ANC to ZC so that the total number of ZC coins and addresses is high.
I don't see why users should be given an option to send ANC without anonymity... the vision for ANC is anonymity, not a choice to send anonymously.

The user doesn't even have to know what's going on behind the scene with ZC, and the QT may even show amounts in ANC only.

This would 1) maximize anonymity and 2) make it simpler for users.

It has been explained already: the mint process requires a high computational effort which will be rewarded with fees an order of magnitude greater. So it's not feasible or desirable to only have an anonymous send function.

True anonymity has a cost I'm pretty sure ANC users would be willing to bear.
On the flip side, using a "Anon-send" button would provide lower anonymity at the same fee magnitude...

Re feasibility; you say this approach is not technically feasible?

How about "Decentralized Anonymity" or "ZeroMix" to make the benefit of ANC somewhat more specific/clear?
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: August 05, 2014, 06:22:58 AM

I just created and released the ANC Green Faucet to spread Anoncoin in ensuring an equitable distribution.

It's awesome! Thanks!
