921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining is not my cup of tea! on: December 30, 2016, 10:27:57 PM
What kind of shit gpu i have! Literally slower than cpu. tried mining on gpu on my so-called cheap win10 tab with cgminer got just 1kh/s with scrypt algo whereas cpu gives me 5kh/s. i now realised that mining is just an expensive stuff(shit) and its not my cup of tea!

Most of people that replied probably haven't read your post at all. What you are trying to do is mine algorithm that is mined by asic miners. You can do that but it's not profitable. What you should mine instead would be Ethash, Equilhash, Cryptonight algorithms (most profitable atm) and determine if it's profitable for you. Other problem might be trying to mine with your "cheap win 10 tab". I wont explain why that wont work but really...
922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Memory Clock? on: December 30, 2016, 10:25:20 PM
So, this has been bothering me a little bit.

Does memory clock affect mining? and how?

I currently have R9 280X with 1500 mhz memory clock (haven't touched it myself), should I do anything with it? downclock maybe, unless that'd be bad for mining? (I am mining equihash algo at nicehash btw)

Would downclocking let temps down a little or no? Anyone actually does it? I did hear some people do it, not sure though.

Thanks.

There are two clocks you should worry about. Core clock and memory clock. What you should do is increase memory clock as much as you can (before it becomes unstable) and decrease memory clock again as much as you can (until you notice performance drop). This will help with temperatures and will gain you extra performance.
923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alt-coin mining newbie on: December 30, 2016, 05:34:54 PM
I don't think that electricity will be a problem. Well I don't know, honestly, I remember trying to mine dogecoin a few years ago and that was just when a friend set up a miner and a wallet on my pc. Are there any that could actually be mined with a lower CPU? I have Dual core 3.6GHz

Well Monero and Zcash can be mined with CPU. Question is will it be profitable ? More bad your cpu is profitability will be lower. I would not recommend mining with old dual core
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best gpu for mining ? RX470 OC or RX470 Nitro ? on: December 30, 2016, 12:07:01 AM
if 470 is so good at hashing speed and power consumption why everyone prefers 480?
At some countries price difference between rx 470 and rx 480 is just too small so its better to go for rx 480 instead since its more powerfull card. Also many people bought 480s when they just came out and they are now saying that its a better card because they don't want to feel like they wasted money
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alt-coin mining newbie on: December 29, 2016, 11:46:37 PM
Hi, all I see here is people saying that mining btc with cpu or gpu can't be profitable, but what about alt-coins? I have a little low config pc but something can possibly be done. But first of all, should I start mining some new or lower difficulty alt-coins and what are the best exchanges with lots of alt-coins?

Most low-end cpu/gpus wont be profitable because of electricity cost. If you don't have to pay for them you can make few bucks per month. Now best exchange overall is Poloniex. Most trusted and major percentage of miners use it. Next one is YoBit I would not recommend this one but since you asked for one with lots of coins, it got much more (shit)coins than poloniex

Unless you are planning to build something like the bitcoin mine pictured below you are very late in the mining game.

Don't agree with you. Single antminer s9 will roi in few months. With BTC price increasing even small miners now are making great profit. For how long it will last idk but it's also great time for scam websites to advertise too
927  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Best way to cash out bitcoins and end up with USD on: December 29, 2016, 11:16:42 PM
Best way to do this is by using localbitcoins. Go there and find someone to meet in person if you want or national bank transfer. Those two options works best for me. About legal, I don't think that any low denies you right of buying/selling bitcoins
928  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Asic Bitcoin Miners for bitcoin mining, Gpu Rig for Ethereum, Zcash, Dash, xmr on: December 29, 2016, 10:28:15 PM
Items on your website are way overpriced. Used s7 for 700$ ? Shit man I see them going for as low as 300$ with PSU. And S9 for 2350$ ? It's almost double of what you can get it from Bitmaintech (with no risk since they are legit and you are not really)
929  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: NiceHash Sell Mining Power on: December 29, 2016, 10:24:47 PM
So... ive read what you've written and it makes no sense? What are you asking? If selling hash to Nicehash is profitable?

It all depends on your electricity cost and how much you pay for the miner. No miner off the shelf does 15Th anyway, so I think you better do so reading and educate yourself before you buy something and overclock it and burn it out.

I think he wants to buy hashing power from nicehash.

@OP
Please do something about your English it's not understandable. If you want to buy hashing power from nicehash you can do that and there is no risk involved like other companies that sell hashing power. In case I misunderstood you you can also sell your hashing power to nicehash. if you want to determine profitability go on their site and type in amount you want to sell and you will see offers from people that want to buy it
930  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: confused a bit in cloud mining on: December 29, 2016, 10:21:37 PM
i just heard the scams done to some peps
i am thinking to invest a bit in ckminer.com
is it ponzi system site?
should i invest in it?  Undecided
and please drop some legit cloud mining sites below

Let me explain you what sites like ckminer do. They will say you need to invest whatever and you will hit ROI after X months. They will start paying you from your own funds you invested in them. Most likely income ist that few other guys are going to invest as well because you told them that they are paying you and when they get enough money they will run away with it Smiley
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Xmr ou Ethereum ? on: December 29, 2016, 10:17:32 PM
And about zcash Huh

Have a goo value

What you think ? Most reliable than monero ??

Thanos
Almr

You should definitely go for Monero. I don't see Ethereum's price spiking anytime soon but when Ethereum go POS miners will look for other coins and Monero price may jub so It will be more profitable than it's now

I'm currently mining Zcash but everyone thinks price will go down (including me) so I'm not holding anything I mine. I just go and dump it straight at exchange. Depends what you want to do. If you don't want to hold any coins Zcash is viable option too

933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any opinions on the new decentralized, always-on marketplace from Syscoin on: December 29, 2016, 07:50:35 PM
Very curious to hear from anyone who has tested the new marketplace. OpenBazaar and Syscoin decentralized marketplace are both coming this month. Very excited!

 http://themerkle.com/news/syscoin-to-accept-bitcoin-payments-in-its-decentralized-marketplace/

And how bout OpenBazaar testers? Any opinions?

OpenBazaar is better in my mind. Better design, concept and they got some major funding. First time heard about Syscoin, went on their website and did a bit of reading and no major features that OpenBazaar does not already have
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: one gpu slower then others? on: December 29, 2016, 07:43:33 PM
using claymore miner, everything running fine except one gpu is only getting 2.0 mh/s where the others are getting 18-20 mh/s. have moved some cables around and the problem moves. pretty much narrowed it down to maybe the pcie slot on motherboard. or some sort of setting or software issue. Any thoughts? thanks in advance.

What is card in question and what is coin you are trying to mine ? If your card has 2gb of memory and you are trying to mine ETH you will get this problem because of dag files. I was getting it too on one of my rigs.
935  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinGate. Accept Bitcoin payments. Buy/Sell Bitcoin. on: December 29, 2016, 07:41:21 PM
Just looked over you API code. Very simple and approachable even for people that know little about coding. All you have to do is send get/post request with parameters. You got one good feature there but I haven't heard about you before so I'll wait a bit longer before I start using your API in my projects
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What is the best gpu for mining ? RX470 OC or RX470 Nitro ? on: December 29, 2016, 07:37:47 PM
Dear Friends

The most I can get is 26.5 mh / s.
I can not reach the value of 30.5mh / s that nitro can do Sad

I can buy the nitro for the same amount as normal. in my city the price is the same

Is it worth choosing the nitro? Because in the normal I can not get beyond 1900 mhz of memory clock.

Thanks
Almir

Buy whatever is cheaper. That additional clocks they got and they are selling with their "OC" version you can get yourself by flashing card bios. There is no point in spending extra money

If they cost the same just go for nitro. There is no reason why would you go for other one but haven't saw that prices of that two cards are same. You must be lucky
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how many of you are investing in chronobank ico? on: December 29, 2016, 04:16:25 PM
When I see ICO advertising on facebook I can almost say for sure that it's a scam. I haven't seen any viable information about this ICO that will convince me that i's legit
938  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine zcash? on: December 29, 2016, 04:02:43 PM
What is the difference between sol / s and hs / s?

im see many people mining in sols/s !!

in what places im can create a zcash wallet ?

Get mining rig, use claymore's miner for best performance. Zcash is currently more profitable than XMR but that could change anytime. Best pool in my mind is flypool.

Sol/s are rate at solutions are found at Equilhash algorithm. As for wallet I use poloniex deposit address for mining because last time I checked you could only create addresses from linux

940  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Genesis Mining Honest Review by TheMerkle on: December 29, 2016, 12:54:43 PM
hahaha genesis reputable, lol. What they are doing are selling contracts that are lasting for one year or infite but most of them will be terminated after few months. They said in their TOS that if it's not longer profitable for them they will close your contract
