Was there any end to that lawsuit that was goin on?

Wrong question.

Was there any start to that lawsuit?

Considering that the people "organizing" it were working with the guy who ran the data center that didn't have hashlets, mine coins or customers, or pay the electric bill, I lean towards the answer of that question being no.
922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: April 14, 2016, 04:12:48 AM
It is not a game of strategy but luck. It really is the luck in the spin not by strategically placing your chips on the numbers that you are sure the ball is going to land on. That is  less than 10% chance that it land on that number or a 50/50 percent chance that it will land on a color that you are hoping that it will land on. Then of course you have the dreaded 0 that nobody in their right mind would pick as that is house number that kills any plans for a false sense of strategy anyways.  Roll Eyes

People in their right mind bet on 0 all the time because it has the same odds of winning as any other number.
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: April 14, 2016, 03:03:59 AM
Just luck can help you in roulette.
In which game luck doesnt help us ? I think you misunderstand the question.
The best strategy usually is to place on 1/3 of numbers and hope that you win, if you loose you can try again Smiley
im always using 1/4 of numbers
will be a little hit and trust to luck your number...do not forget to always combine the number 0 there Grin

yeah the edge on roulette are on 0 isn't it? i usually choose odd or even , red or black, high or low and 1/3 number only.
just mixed all option i choose above and sometimes just do a random bet. not sure there is a strategy to earn from roulette.

Some people say that the edge in roulette is because of the zeros because if you took away the zeros and kept the payouts the same the expected value would be 0. But the 0s are there, and they are not included in any of the 12 number groups (not 1/3 because there are more than 36 numbers on the wheel/board) or 18 number groups.

Every strategy is pretty much equally bad as they have the same EV.

OK Wait a minute.
Uncle Stu poured money in, crafted a press release, put his name on it.....and then what?  There was hardly any advertising.  None of the TV interviews or magazine articles, ever surfaced, besides those planted by Scott Fargo....so....where did all of Uncle Stu's PR $$$$$ go??

I wonder what they actually paid for. They had a few press releases that shit like yahoo finance just reprinted, because that's what they do. WSJ's blog had a mark that bought their line of shit for a second, and wrote his piece but did a shit job following up.

What other big interviews were promised/done? If they were done by someone with an ounce of brainpower they would never publish anything about the obvious scam.

Newbie member asking for investment to gamble and give fixed return, sounds really fishy. Nobody gonna trust you bro, you should atleast provide detail about your plan or atleast your past work detail on OP.

However truth is nobody even big gambler can't gaurantee profit on gambling, it totally depends upon luck and not upon strategy. I will suggest everybody not to make follish move and give him bitcoin in a hope of return. Be careful guys.

No one can guarantee profit.

Relying only on luck in games like poker where there are good and bad strategies is stupid. If you are good at poker, you are more likely to win. Investing in a good poker player is not the stupidest idea in the world. Still unsure if this a good investment or not.

Umm, Joshie, a 'mining address' is supposed to show newly minted coins from the blocks you are mining. Anyone managed to find any in that address?

No. And there was no response from GAW or WSJ when that was pointed out immediately.

That's some really great journalism from Casey over there. Get down on your knees and write a puff piece. Don't question any of the absurd claims the guy is making. Get trashed for doing a shitty job. Go back to the guy who just used you angry because they didn't voluntarily throw themselves under the bus. Ask a bunch of questions you should have asked earlier at once so there's no way for you to follow up. Take one piece of horseshit info from the answers, don't vet it at all, publish it to make it seem like you aren't a goon. Never mention it again.
928  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: invest in my gambling on: April 13, 2016, 01:22:35 PM
THis is not new , Many people have tried to do this before , I have seen a person who shared some dice stats and asked people to invest in it , HE said he will give back 30% per hour , DOnt believe in all this .  dont fall to this .

Doing it with dice is stupid because you can't beat dice.

Doing it in poker can make sense in some situations because some people can win at poker.

Whether or not doing it in this particular situation is still up for debate.

I can come up with reasons why someone who is good at poker needs money from someone else to get into a big cash game or a big tournament. Why someone would need this method for the microstakes requires an explanation that hasn't been provided yet.

I can flip a coin with the best of them but seriously you need to prove you can make selections by posting here as evidence or link to where you are tracked on a site.

https://imgur.com/a/xJqlV

A fair point.  My strongest game right now is PLO cash.  In dec. of 2015 I was staked to play PLO cash and did pretty well, winning for my backer 3k (and 3k for myself).   As you can see in the above screenshots I've been winning at a statistically significant sample size for PLO levels .10/.25 - .5/1.  I use an aggressive game selection methodology "bum hunting" as well as the myriad skill set that every professional player has at their disposal.  I observe my opponents carefully.  Sometimes I'll be in a three handed game with two fish, and I do something I call 'opposition research', which is I flip through all the hands I have on them in hold'em manager, often hundreds, in order to pick up patterns.  Some people never bluff, or don't value bet light; if they don't value bet light, but then are somewhat aggressive, you have to wonder, is he a frequent bluffer?  I adapt to fish and crush them.  I'll sit alone at 24 tables, if a reg sits I sit out, if a fish sits I'll play and sit out my other 23 tables (sometimes I wait to get 2 heads up games vs fish just so I can quit if a reg sits).

We could get started for as little a $75 USD (a somewhat risky 'hail mary' 15 buy in bankroll for PLO 5).  This is a great investment for whoever chooses it because you are only risking whatever $75 or $150 USD.  I am going to inputting 40-50+ hours a week.  And over time your investment will snowball, as I safely move up limits and reinvest our winnings.

Where did the 3k you won with your backer go?

Poker staking is a better idea than lots of the other horseshit I've seen on this forum, but I really would question someone who isn't able to stake themselves for a game this small.
930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The final verified tipsters in one package! on: April 12, 2016, 04:56:59 PM
Just a heads up to everyone, a money back guarantee is pretty useless when it comes to buying picks.

"Oh, you'll give me back the .1 btc i gave you even though I lost 1 btc because you suck at betting, thanks" (for example) still ends up with you losing money if the guy sucks at selling picks. And the fact that they are selling them instead of betting them usually means that is the case.

NOTICE of Appearance by Marjorie J. Peerce on behalf of Homero Joshua Garza (Peerce, Marjorie)

25       misc Certificate of Good Standing  Mon 11:40 AM
CERTIFICATE OF GOOD STANDING re18 MOTION for Attorney(s) Marjorie J. Peerce to be Admitted Pro Hac Vice (paid $75 PHV fee; receipt number 0205-3944165) by Homero Joshua Garza. (Peerce, Marjorie)

That stuttering retard "...so...so...so release the kraken muahahaha..." Homero doesn't have the balls to stand in front of the court eh. Reminds me of the "debate" with the litecoin guy from tough bravado to sniveling cowering coward "..well let's do it in writing instead.."  Roll Eyes

We need a reporter in there. So how does that work if all the shit is supposed to be sealed, surely you have a right to sit in the court and listen to it all , then report it or what?

Still cannot quite fathom who and why. Who is paying for this and why.  It has to be Uncle Stu trying to ensure Homero doesn't get to testify or speak or say a word in case he spills the beans from under his apron? There really is not much discussion or interaction in the email dump about or between Cantor Fitz. Just one meeting is all but of course the emails are not everything.  Can it simply be to protect Uncle Stu Jr where maybe he knowingly lied pretending to sell or own or whatever it was that was false with ZenMiner?

Been looking real hard in the email dump for "something" between Uncle Stu and Homero, indeed there are some borderline SMS's simple one liners like "love you" and "wish you were here" nothing blatant about anything but all put together a certain creepiness to there communications overall.

The other thing I found which was quite surprising was that Uncle Stu in fact authorized that press release which was worded in such a way to appear as though Cantor Fitz. was behind the launch of Paycoin. That very cleverly crafted Press Release.  This is quite clear in a 3 way discussion between him Homero and the public relations company, it even goes further where Uncle Stu is insisting he be referred to as a co-founder of Paycoin.  This surprising because at the time it was thought Homero and his in-house con team butchered some independent quotes of Uncle Stu's to craft that bullshit Press Release. Now it is clear Uncle Stu authorized it and even wanted more to be said namely that he was a co-founder of paycoin.  Roll Eyes Fool! Look were that got you, full time detention and the boys camp up North in the sticks  Cheesy

It is quite the story and will be very interesting how it all plays out. Absolutely there is some deep dark secret somewhere that while trying to poke its head out, keeps being suppressed. At great expense mind you.

Where's Mike from Coinfire, last peep from him was he retired and is writing a book about this all? Hope he is getting down every single juicy detail and its not going to be some glossed over summary of the affair. Might even have to make it a 3 part series at this rate.

Homero says: "hey do want my Tesla"
Muggles say: "hey do want my napkin"

They or Fraser should be. Cantor does not want to be tied to any part of this, especially the 9/11 charity rip off. The question is if Ganza will willingly go under the bus or if he has stuff to take them all down with him.
932  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Idea : Hire me as your personal tipster on: April 12, 2016, 01:16:07 PM
Why would I pay you for tips if you aren't good enough to earn more than you are charging  with these prices?

Also, 5 out of 7 at 1.4 is breaking even, why should anyone pay you for that?

If you are going to this money should be refunded any week you are not profitable, at a minimum since the bettor will be out a bunch of money via losing bets if you have a down week picking heavy favorites (which is what you are doing by sticking under 1.9 odds)

Your reference thread is useless without some method of keeping track how much you would have won or lost. 1.4 odds is over 71% chance of winning.

Your record is meaningless, how much money you have won or lost (and same for your customers) is what matters in sports betting.

You can do easily find how much money I have won, base bet is always same from me 0.0032 BTC or 0.032 BTC choose which you like, average odd in that thread is more than 1.55 but I am letting you do your math with 1.55 which is with an example of 0.032 BTC base bet

34 WIN X 0.0175 BTC per win with odd 1.55 equal to 0.595 BTC
14 LOSES X 0.032 BTC per base bet equal to 0.448 BTC

Total profit 0.595 BTC - 0.448 BTC equal to 0.147 BTC almost 0.15 BTC profit in 2 months in that thread.

And you have taken as an example 1.40 minimum odd, while the average will be over 1.55 be sure about it Smiley

And I have only counted 34 wins, while there are more, if you check the above thread Smiley

Average, shmaverage.

If you want to be taken seriously, take and provide accurate records for the odds and payout of each bet.

The fact that you bet the same amount on each game proves that this is a shitty idea. Basic gambling math/knowledge is that you bet more on games that you are more confident on. If you have the same confidence in a 1.4 odds bet and a 1.55 odds bet you aren't that bright.

I will not check that thread to see if you have ore wins or losses because you being too lazy/unable to provide an accurate record with how much you've won or lost proves to me you aren't worth doing business with in this manner.
933  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Igot.com exchange is a scam on: April 12, 2016, 05:11:43 AM
The iGot scam hit the mainstream media in Australia yesterday with a serious investigative expose on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's 7:30 current affairs and news program.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-04-11/australian-bitcoin-exchange-igot-on-verge-of-collapse/7315894

Watch the embedded video to see what has been broadcast.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS EXCHANGE AS YOU WILL MOST LIKELY NEVER SEE YOUR FUNDS AGAIN.

If you're already embroiled in the web of broken promises and lies that characterises everything Rick Day does, contact the relevant authorities and lodge formal reports about what money you're owed.

That is not a serious expose at all. It's nice to get some coverage, but they took the claim that it is a temporarily, new problem at face value when there have been people saying they can't get their coins or cash for like a year.

Woah 50%   Shocked
Didnt see that at first.
25% max.

OK so two weeks seems to be the magic number.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Duration: 2 WEEKS Minimum
Conditions:
At the end of the duration Profit must be achieved Positive ROI/UNITS
(more than what initially started with)
Bettor must place all returns from wining tips into a mutual wallet (escrow/third party wallet)
Bettor would select a single wager amount between .15 to 1 btc for each tip for the entire duration.

If conditions are met: Tipster gets paid at 1/4 minimum from the mutual wallet ("POT") where there returns have accumulated.

Missed this part before, but "selecting a single wager amount" is not a great idea. Not every bet has an equal chance of winning, so not every bet should be the same value. You would need to have limits to how much the bets could be (and watch them to avoid them from screwing you over about) but not allowing either side to bet more on a bet they feel better about is a bad idea, and not a good way to win money with betting.
Eventually i'd like to tests this out...
936  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: April 10, 2016, 05:01:18 AM

... That being said, our community deserves their casinocoin and I don't think they should lose $3m+ to Paul's scam if we hit our targets this year.

Wow... I would have thought the correct answer was none of us should loose our coins to Paul's scam, but thats just me.

paul and the c crew stole from all of us, why would the holders of any one coin get to recover their losses (and potential gains) when so many lost so much?

Getting completely ripped off by cryptsy was a risk that all of cyptsy's customers walked into with their eyes wide open. At this point, you guys should work on accepting that it is extremely unlikely that anyone will get anything back. If you put thousands of dollars into a risky exchange like this and got burned, sure I feel bad for you. It's a real shame. Crypto suffers across the board everytime this kind of thing happens. With regard to each of Paul's victims, keep in mind that you are lying to yourself if you didn't know that losing all you coins wasn't a definite possible outcome. I liken this to banging a prostitute without a condom and then getting angry when you find out she gave you herpes. This is one instance where your greed, laziness, poor decision making, or a combination of these caught up with you and you paid the price.

Imagine this scenario: 3 neighbors loan a 4th neighbor collectively a chainsaw, a leaf blower, and a lawn mower. Unfortunately, the neighbor's home gets robbed and someone steals the lawn mower. Does that give the neighbor the right to sell his other neighbors' chainsaw and leaf blower, then split the proceeds between all 3? Of course not. So stop with that "they stole from all of us" bullshit. Only a handful of coins were stolen. The rest of the coins could have been fully returned to their rightful owners.

2 crimes occurred here. Someone hacker or insider stole BTC, Doge, LTC, whatever. Then Paul stole all the rest of his depositors coins after bizarrely and seemingly arbitrarily releasing several types of altcoins.

As the developer of casinocoin, we have considered two possible options to recover those coins. The first was to identify cryptsy's wallets, make them unspendable, and generate new coins to distribute to those who could prove their casinocoin balances. We chose not to do this because of the requirement for a hardfork and we would like to urge Cryptsy to return casinocoins to their rightful owners. The second option was to create a new coin and kickoff a program of exchanging current CSC for a new blockchain one by one with personal verification. Paul and anyone associated with Cryptsy or their shill bankruptcy would not be allowed to participate in this and ultimately the coins cryptsy is holding would cease to exist. This is an option that I would still be open to, but again I would rather avoid any sort of centralized action and would rather give those clowns some time to do the right thing and return the CSC to their rightful owners. However, they should be aware that any altcoin could decide to take back their coins trapped in Cryptsy if they decide to do so as a community. The dev can produce a wallet to recover them and the community can endorse the action by the majority simply adopting the modified wallet. If you want this, talk to your devs. Get your coins back. The BTC, LTC, DOGE, whatever holders that were robbed. You're not likely to get anything back if these altcoin communities want their coins back anyway.

There is a big difference between a neighbor and an insolvent company facing lawsuits.

I would guess most people don't because they have a basic understanding of math and realize how silly of an "investment" they are.

-he claimed during divorce that he has no income, but he gave all his US properties and money to his wife.Further, that man without income and properties obliged to pay $20000  for big house real estate tax, $15.000 for his wife lawyer expenses, to continue paying for his $1.000.000 life insurance and $2.500 monthly payment for child support. From where he will pay that,no money,no income,no assets?

- in class action lawsuit papers there is statement that IRS Criminal Division and SEC put Cryptsy and Vernon under investigation

Of course he gave the property to his wife (soon to be ex) He was leaving ( read fleeing) the country and would not be coming back.
Add to that fact the feds will track down the money and prove it was stolen, they will sell the property to recover the money, leaving the ex wife with nothing.

Would Paul fuck over his family like that?
Yes, yes I believe he would.

bitebi9 will collapse as everyone knows its pauls, and people will not invest there. when he has no other source of income, he will be on the street doing favors for sailors, and charging a small amount for handjobs.

It's very easy for cloud mining scams to last because they don't really need new investors to pay old investors.

They can just take your money and give it back to you a little bit at a time.

They go until the deposits stuff and the owner realizes they will never have more money than they do at the moment, so they run.
