924  Economy / Securities / Re: Difference between core activities of Butterfly, Avalon, ASICMINER? on: June 11, 2013, 02:31:50 AM
Each of these entities appears to make ASICS, mine Bitcoins, and sell mining equipment to end users in varying degrees. What are their core differences, both product-wise and operationally? Also, I’m already in ASICminer, but what are some good ways to invest in Avalon and Butterfly?

ASIC-MINER are trying to make as much profit as they can for their share-holders from the fact they're the only ASIC manufacturer who can ship completed product promptly.

Avalon are trying to catch up with a back-log and pre-selling chips to cash in on having working chips but not much of a production line.

BFL are trying to get as many pre-orders as they can.

937  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 10 btc accepting paypal... on: June 10, 2013, 01:10:35 PM
oh and regarding using the escrow... i figured since he is offering it then he must be above board, i know i am.

what is going on?... surely there is still good left in people out there. my 1st baby  son was born a few days ago, and in readiness for that, i wanted to have some btc for him as a gift when he was born, i agreed to buy 2.0 btc off Gumtree and duly deposisted $200 into the guys Australian Westpac bank account a couple of weeks ago. He didnt send the btc, wouldnt offer the transaction id or anything. so now i have to lodge a police complaint.

And now this.. really. what gives. And yes, i am trusting, but id rather be that than than the opposite.
oh bother Sad
That's sad, to make everything sure buy bitcoins by bank transfer to popular exchangers like mtgox or bitfinex
