We are up. Investing now works with 4 decimals instead of 2.

The best time to invest ATM, the total invested sum is relatively low.

Withdrawal button is not working, tried couple of hours ago and still cannot withdraw.

So it takes a couple months to convert BTC to USD to pay the NRE or what.

705  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 18, 2013, 01:30:55 AM
Seriously...please reread through it.

https://btct.co/security/HOSTED-MINING

PHASE I
250,000 x 0.28 = 70,000 BTC or $7Million USD @ $100=1btc

Alydian ASIC price 5TH = $232,500

$7 Million divided by $232,500  = 30 ASICs with total 150TH

You said minimum HASHRATE: 10TH

you probably missing a zero either in TH or in IPO price?

710  Economy / Securities / Re: Legal Risk you should know when you invest in CHINESE BTC Stock on: August 15, 2013, 02:42:56 PM
Maybe BTCGarden's mistake was telling everyone they are in China. It may be better if people are not aware where the operation takes place.

If they did not tell they're from China then they will be accused of hiding something or lying, and lying = scam.

Diff. Increase per day: 1.3753  %

The next difficulty increases is now 30%+, if you compute based on your price, 30% diff increase and the end of August mining start, ROI by mining will never happen.
Looks like that is already built into the calculation of ROI in the form of a predicted daily difficulty increase.

If you mine last week of August, the Initial Coins per Day is around 39 not  65.90257387, so its a different result.

What calculation did you use to come up with 39?

http://btc.re/?t=miningcalc with 30% Difficulty increases.
712  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What do you guys think of BitEnsure? Interest Bearing Wallets on: August 13, 2013, 02:37:38 PM
27.25% for 90 day CDs.
Three possibilities for who is on the other side of that trade:

  • BTC Borrower(s) who have business ideas capable of generating 30% return in 90 days but can't find cheaper financing.
  • Speculator(s) who want to short the BTC exchange rate but can't find a cheaper borrow. (*)
  • Ponzi scheme.

Which one is the least unlikely?

*This also includes people who don't understand that borrowing in BTC is the same thing as taking a short position.

The 27.25% is annual interest, that is only 6% for 90 days duration.
713  Economy / Securities / Re: Amethyst - IPO finished, shares now trading at 2btc each, WE'RE OFF TO THE SUN on: August 13, 2013, 12:38:33 PM
Jesus I can't believe you fools are falling for this. Have you done any research into this outfit?

Where are they based? Who is supplying their chips? How deep will the earthquakes go and who is going to pay for the damage to roads and power lines?

THINK it through people.

Disclaimer: I have 100k shares.

They've been increasing at a rate of 39.817% (average) per day; why think?!

I got my 2nd 38% dividend today, thanks man!
714  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 13, 2013, 11:23:43 AM
also, the production doesnt get reduced weekly, cuz the difficulty increase bi-weekly.
so calculating using a Reduction per Week of 10.3% is not accurate as well.

Actually with 30%+ increase, next difficulty will be 11 days only.

Market is adjusting now. AM and Labcoin probably won't be worth buying by the time any refunded BTC arrive (if it arrives).

I disagree. There will be a flood of BTC hitting btct.co in a few hours and some of that BTC will search for a new home. Lots of it will most likely go to Labcoin, ActiveMining or AsicMiner. As soon as I get my BTC back I will be putting it in one of these. What else are we supposed to do with the BTC? Leave it in a wallet getting no returns?

If you get your bitcoins back of course. It is quite possible that they issue a new statement saying that due to the "police investigation" the bitcoins are frozen and to be handled as evidence. But let's give them 48 hours.

Invested a few bitcoins as well.

Bitcoin can seize by Police? Police does not know paypal yet.  Cheesy peace

719  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 12, 2013, 01:20:54 PM
I highly doubt that LC would follow BTCGarden - they've invested a lot of time and effort into this for the past few months. Plus, they're on a much smaller scale - they raised about $700,000 while BTCGarden raised over $3 Million - this attracts much more attention.

Also, LC isn't going to be intimidated by one guy making threats on the internet - hah!  Roll Eyes

BTCGarden has their own bitcoin exchanger site reputation and other bitcoin services.
Labcoin is just written promises.
720  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 12, 2013, 01:07:47 PM
There's still something unsolved: has burnside heard from LABCOIN about locking shares?

I've asked TheSwede to elaborate on this, he seems to be silent in this thread for the last few days for some reason.

Mmm.. labcoin may follow btcgarden?, I hope this is not the biggest organized scam of the year.
