921  Economy / Economics / Re: The Real Bitcoin according to ...... on: December 29, 2017, 02:05:52 AM
We have recently seen a increase of threads that are trying to influence people to abandon Bitcoin for the REAL Bitcoin. Have we considered for ourselves, what the REAL Bitcoin is for us and not what the REAL Bitcoin is according to other people?

~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because Roger Ver says so?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because Coinbase says so?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because the Lightning Network is the ultimate scaling solution?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because your local exchange accept it?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because the majority of some forum says so?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because it is more useful to you now?
~ Is Bitcoin the REAL Bitcoin because Block sizes are the only TRUE method to scale Bitcoin?

You must decide this on your own, without other people telling you what you must believe.

I will tell you WHY I believe in Bitcoin, because I am passionate about one or more aspects of the technology, but you might differ from me. I will tell you why I differ from you and things might become heated, but it is still up to you.

Decide for yourself, what is your REAL Bitcoin and respect other people's opinion on what they think their REAL Bitcoin is.

Personally I disagree with this relativistic view f things where each person gets to decide what something means, if we do that then everything losses it meaning not only bitcoin, that is why to me the only bitcoin is the one created by satoshi and maintained by the devs.

So you are saying, Bitcoin must be defined by what other people say it must be? <even if that people is Satoshi?> What happens if the Core Devs are replaced by some malicious group, intent on destroying Bitcoin? Would you still regard it as the REAL Bitcoin then?

Some people are blaming the current Core Developers for all the problems we have now, but they have no clue why they should not do that, because they are fixated on Satoshi's white paper and not on the limitations of his code and what can resolve the situation.
Simple, if that were to happen that will mean that bitcoin failed and some other coin will need to change the world and take the lead, there is only one bitcoin, all other coins are different projects, that does not mean there is innovation going on those coins but if they want to replace bitcoin they need to do more than just creating an ico and have some flashy name.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: could bitcoin be replaced by another crypto currency? on: December 28, 2017, 04:11:50 AM
Well it's hard to predict what will happennext but those digital coins has a potential next to bitcoin but it's difficult to replace bitcoin so easily because what bitcoin done so far is hard to surpass.
People keep talking about the next bitcoin and they have been talking about that since bitcoin was created and yet no coin is even close to that, it seem obvious to me that  a coin that can surpass bitcoin is not very easy to create because if that was the case that coin should have been created already, this gives me confidence about the investment I made in bitcoin and that is why I keep investing in bitcoin despite the high price.
923  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: December 28, 2017, 04:08:52 AM
If bitcoin to be international currency, what do you think?
You can use it every where and anywhere, without exchange it.
And how to use transaction with it, if bitcoin just crypto currency?
How many people like with this thread?
They say that bitcoin can defeat the USD but for me bitcoin can't defeat USD even if I am fan of bitcoins. People will not agree to that the bitcoin will replace USD as global currency.
Bitcoin can in theory defeat the US dollar but it is not going to do it because bitcoin is going to defeat the US dollar, the US dollar is going to defeat itself, the US governments is deeply in debt and they are not stopping printing dollars, at some point people are going to stop accepting the dollar as the current world currency and when that happens the system is going to collapse.
924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 28, 2017, 04:04:19 AM
Obviously, who doesn't regret selling their bitcoin?

But the thing is nobody would have told you with confidence and bet you all their life savings that bitcoin was going to be this high at this current time. So it could have went both ways and it turned out that the holders have been correct.

The rally could ahve ended on $2k if the august 1st events messed up, but it didn't. These were all unpredictable.

Plus, if you had to sell bitcoins for your personal use or an emergency, there was really nothing to avoid it.
Yeah it was impossible to predict that things will go this way, it was not long ago that bitcoin was still cheap, some people have expected the price to go down for  long time and yet we are at 15k, that price would have seemed impossible just a year ago, if you had asked me how long it would take to reach that price at the beginning of the year I would have said at least 5 to 10 years and yet we reached that price in only a year.
925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Zclassic - Bitcoin private - Why the hype? on: December 28, 2017, 03:57:33 AM
The thing is that people that hold 1 bitcoin will get 1 bitcoin private (one bitcoin is priced at about 15k usd)
And on the other side people that hold 1 zclassic will also get 1 bitcoin private (one zclassic is about 30 usd)

It means that you will get 500 BTCP (Bitcoin private) for 1btc worth of zclassic. (Instead of 1 BTCP from 1 BTC)

This is why people really want to buy zlassic now, i think we should be expecting another 10x from here.

Privacy is all the hype, so a privacy coin bitcoin fork ofcourse makes people excited.
Buying a coin just for the hype is a huge mistake, besides what it is the point of this coin, why bitcoin private is better than solutions especially geared towards privacy like monero and dash, bitcoin was never meant to be completely anonymous so I think this coin is moving in the wrong direction.
926  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: December 28, 2017, 03:54:29 AM
Because they think this is the best way to make money, they think they can use words and earn a lot of money without putting their labor to create it.
Well, not really everybody. I believe some of them that are doing this their conscience is always judging them, but they have no other option especially when they’re in a country where the government and economy is pretty bad. Well, that doesn’t make them any difference, no matter the reason, people should learn not to put their hand into evil businesses. But most of the times, I blame government for not being able to provide job opportunities for their people, that’s extremely evil.
Governments do not really provide job opportunities to people and any job that is part of the governments is a job that is always at risk since there could always be cuts in the budget in the future, scammers are smart, they could be doing something else if they wanted but they want easy money and that is why they scam.
927  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: December 27, 2017, 02:03:33 AM
It is not easy to invest in somethings that you aren't know right? for me btc is the one of the best investment that i can invest with. i choose bitcoin for its originality and the super security of it. it does make sense if you did that Smiley
If you do not know anything about a subject it is a bad idea to invest in it, after all how do you know if you are making a good investment or a bad one? This is why many people get burned when they invest in icos, they do not understand anything about crypto and yet they choose to invest in icos, and then they blame the icos for losing their money when it was them the ones that invested in an irresponsible way.
928  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the safest way to gain 1% daily profit from trading? on: December 27, 2017, 01:58:56 AM
The safest way I think is to find some coin/token that you can arbitrage this is the best way to prevent loss but it is too hard to find it. And also you need a mathematical skills in arbitrage Cheesy to compute profit vs transaction fee and how long it takes your transaction to be confirm.
Arbitrage can allow you to earn that amount of money that is correct, but arbitrage is very hard, you need to have a very precise timing, and you need that the exchanges to have a fast withdrawal policy and then you need that the exchanges do not hold back your money, as you can see arbitrage trading can be a very risky way to make money.
929  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in altcoin still worth? on: December 27, 2017, 01:52:16 AM
Indeed, investment in altcoin. Most altcoins are just starting and who knows maybe the altcoin you've invested in will be the next bitcoin.
We need to stop thinking like that bitcoin is bitcoin, and altcoins are altcoins, there is not going to be an altcoin that mimics the success of bitcoin, bitcoin is not going to disappear and it is unlikely it is going to be surpassed by any coin so altcoins will need to find their own identities and to stop marketing themselves as the new bitcoin.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves hold for longterm Good or Not? on: December 27, 2017, 01:28:42 AM
Does anyone here think price is very high now to get it?  The thing is how many people here got waves when it was 1 dollar and under?  What about when it was 25 cents?  Was it easy to get waves then on bittrex?  At what price was waves available on bittrex?  What about shapeshift?
You could have gotten waves with less than 3 dollars each just a few weeks ago, this show to us the importance to act upon our beliefs, if you had invested in waves back then you could have multiplied your money several times, and I will not be surprised if we saw waves at 50 dollars each at the next year.
931  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall again soon? on: December 27, 2017, 01:24:28 AM
I sold some at 10,900 hoping it will fall again to rebuy in the 9000's as I purchased some around 10,300... Do you guys think another temporary slump will happen soon? Or cut my losses and rebuy now at over 11k?
You had an opportunity to buy again at sub 11k prices just a few days ago, so if you were patient you could have bought and got into bitcoin for a lower price than the price you sold, unfortunately for you your big mistake was selling that soon because as we know bitcoin almost reached 20k.
932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Next 10000x coin? on: December 26, 2017, 01:52:41 AM
Damn man, you have some high expectations! You'd be pretty lucky to hit a x10000! More realistic to aim for x100,
And even that is not very realistic, bitcoin is growing so anyone that invested in icos in this year is probably not going to get 100x in bitcoin at most you are going to get 10x to 20x and that is if you are lucky and if bitcoin does not keep growing something that I do not find to be very likely.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to stop ICO ? on: December 26, 2017, 01:44:58 AM
ICOs will stop if the companies cannot manage or handle their campaigns anymore. you can pretty much see if these happen by researching first about their campaign, objectives, etc.. You can be certain by then that their campaign will be successful once you understood what they are for and if it really is possible to reach their goals or objectives.

You must not have seen how ICOs managed without all these extracompany parties doing it for them. Take a look at 100 ICOs in this year, just take any pick. What is your measure of success? Millions raised? OK, then they have been successful. But 0% have been successful in meeting their full objectives. Not when most of them have scheduled their launch next year. And if you want to measure by way of token/coin price, then you will see less than 10% have a value today higher than what they were during their ICOs.

Research and understanding is not a certainty of ICO success. It is not that simple, buddy.
I think it is unfair to try to see what icos have reached their objectives after just a months of development, many projects state directly in their road map that they will need a year or two, so if you want to make that experiment then it is better to look for icos that ended two years ago.
934  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL bitcoin? why and why not? on: December 26, 2017, 01:38:11 AM
HODL bitcoin? why and why not?
HODL bitcoin is very beneficial for long term. So why not for hodl bitcoin if it is profitable. You do not have to think long for hodl bitcoin, you can see a lot of news now people become millionaires because bitcoin. They are just hodl bitcoin from a few years ago. Hodl bitcoin proves to make you rich.
Holding bitcoin can make you a lot of money, but if you want to become rich you need to hold a significant amount of bitcoin and since bitcoin is so expensive then that means that you need to have a good amount of money already so becoming rich is not as easy right now.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: What makes Bitcoin to move this fast? on: December 26, 2017, 01:36:28 AM
Guys I'm wondering why BTC is moving this fast to up? With logic there should be  a huge amount of money flew into BTC market but I don't see any reason to  make this happen.

Is there any economic reasons about this massive flying to up? What are your opinions about this happenings? Huh
Simple the demand is growing, the supply is very limited so any change n the demand part of the equation is going to change the price in a dramatic fashion, until we get the whole world to adopt bitcoin we are going to see these movements on the price.
936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: December 24, 2017, 03:39:51 AM
keep in mind, in the crypto world there is absolutely no word late, if you say it's too late it's wrong. it is time everyone will go to the world of crypto.
Late is a relative term, late for what, if you mean late by getting rich by investing a few hundred dollars in bitcoin then that is right you are too late, but you can still become rich with bitcoin but only if you are willing to invest a good amount of money.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think BCH will replace BTC in the future? on: December 24, 2017, 03:11:34 AM
I completely believe that if Bitcoin cant improve its weaknesses, it can be replaced in the future in payment. However, using in payment and price are different. Maybe, Bitcoin cash can be used in payment more than Bitcoin. Bitcoin price is still higher.
At worst what it will happen if bitcoin keeps being slow is that bitcoin begins to be used as gold, as a store of value which is something that we are already seeing today but to be honest I trust in the devs and the solution they have chosen to scale the network.
938  Economy / Economics / Re: panic selling on: December 24, 2017, 03:06:53 AM
Panic sell is big loss for the ones who own lots of bitcoin or other currency, it's much logical to sell little by little with sell walls. Instead of dumping the market and selling half of the coins for half price, also crashing the market..
What it happens is that people do not have a strategy when it comes to their bitcoin, having lots of money does not mean that you know how to manage it, selling for a price lower than the one you bought is a terrible mistake, it is better to hold, even if you have to do it for years since losing time is better than to lose money.

940  Economy / Economics / Re: So, you want to be rich? All of you ? on: December 24, 2017, 02:56:42 AM
OP, your point might be right, but you have to remember that there are many people who don't like money, unless it fulfills a need/purpose. Many scientists, for example, would die for a successful experiment achieving something new for the world rather than having a million U.S. Dollars.

And also if your point happened, there will be scientists who will be fascinated (if not mad) about their robots that they won't let them breakdown.
It not like scientists do not like money they do but they are not interested in having a great accumulation of money, they are more interested in knowledge, now many scientists do not do everything they do just because they love the world there are many scientists that do it for the fame.
