30 points for Stephen Curry in the first half on 7 of 10 shooting from three point range. Dude is lighting it up right now! This could turn into something special if he can keep it up. Nice to see he’s back to having MVP nights. I missed seeing this kind of shooting last year.

Wow, crazy to see these things sell for so little nowadays. Better off peeling them!
The sale never went through - the seller disappeared

It smelled fishy from the start.  Should be of no surprise that deals that appear as though they are too good to be true often are.  As for the seller, if he was legitimate, I guess he valued the additional BTC from peeling and then selling the peeled coin more than he valued his account.  Also not much of a surprise.

You'll have a lot more success finding help if you post this in the altcoin mining section.  Beginners won't be able to help you so much and you should get used to posting things in the appropriate section. Good luck!

9224  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory wallet problem ?? on: February 06, 2021, 06:20:50 PM
You may also look into getting your keys out of Armory and downloading a wallet like Electrum that won't require you to download the blockchain.  I won't go into how it works, but it will likely resolve a lot of your frustrations related to syncing and building databases with Armory software while maintaining the same functionality.

9225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $40k on: February 06, 2021, 06:11:32 PM
With the way BTC price is rising, 100k might be the minimum this year. Institution money is really coming in big time.

No, 100k is daydreaming. It won't pretty much happen. I would expect more of 50-60k but never 100k.

I remember people saying that about $100 when we were stuck in the $5-$15 range.

All indications are pointing to $100,000-$280,000 this year. Don’t be surprised when it happens because it is just as likely as not that it will.
9226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 06, 2021, 06:08:46 PM
Now all the players are saying they don’t want an all star game... Not sure where that came from. You’d think LeBron would want to chase more all star game records while he has the chance. I hope Adam Silver stands his ground and makes them do an all star weekend of some kind. That game has always been for the fans and we need it after how sports have been the last year.
9227  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long the Bitcoin Bull run continues on: February 06, 2021, 07:56:20 AM
If this bull run is anything like 2013 & 2017 then you can expect to see a $100,000-$288,000 BTC sometime between April and November of this year. It will be interesting to see where we fall in this range. Either way, we are due for some fireworks in the near future.
9228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 06, 2021, 03:30:42 AM
Kevin Durant just got pulled out of the Nets game for the health and safety protocol after playing the first half. Not a good sign for the players on the floor with him. This has a Rudy Gobert smell to it. We could be seeing these two teams unable to play for a couple weeks if Durant did indeed test positive.
9229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 05, 2021, 09:21:52 PM
I am just biased against Mayweather and want to see a heavyweight beat him into submission for all of us big guys that have to suffer through watching a 150lb man talk about himself like he's the greatest fighter ever...

I'd settle for that heavyweight being 50 Cent if possible, but let's face it...  We're all hoping that a Mike Tyson vs Floyd Mayweather matchup happens at some point.  Would love to see another 30 second 1st round KO from the champ before he disappears from the boxing scene again.
9230  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 05, 2021, 07:31:31 AM

That game was really great on the 1st up to 3rd quarter but when the 4th quarter starts Kelly Oubre Jr. just got fired up and Scored 40 pts. on this game, and Draymond Green had 15 assist this game.

I don’t think they can play much better than this with their roster. A great night. I’ve felt like Oubre had been underperforming since leaving Phoenix but he was getting it done tonight. A shame Klay had to get injured. They would have been a real competitor for the title with him.
9231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 04, 2021, 09:35:26 PM
Mayweather isnt really tired on making these exhibition fights? Fighting with a Rapper? What in the world is happening?  Grin

50 cent had some history of boxing in the past as an amateur when he's still a teenager. Seriously?

This would be personal for Floyd. 50 Cent has been attacking him for being illiterate for a long time now. There’s plenty of YouTube videos out there showing the back and forth between the two over the years. A winner take all might also be a first for the sport?
9232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 04, 2021, 07:19:20 PM
Given the history between these two I sure hope this happens. If 50 could go in at his normal weight and this does end up being a winner take all match, I have to say it will be my most anticipated fight since Mike Tyson’s retirement.

Jared Dudley’s new book had some controversial comments about Clippers guard Paul George. Basically he said Kawhi had a right to talk cocky about being the team to beat because he’s a defending champion, but Paul George doesn’t have any right to talk big because he’s never won anything. PG13 has been having a great year, but without a championship soon he’s dangerously close to entering the club of HOF-type players without a ring.
Just found out about it. Thanks.
It would have been better if it came from a legitimate HOF.
But from Jared? Argh. It would be better if he looks at the mirror first.
Even without a ring, PG13 is one of the elite players in the NBA. I think he should consider making another book.  Grin

Ya, I get that Jared Dudley is liked by his teammates and experienced and all that...  If there was one guy in the NBA I would ever feel good about challenging to a 1 on 1 game, it's him.  I used to watch him a lot when he was on the Suns and I was always amazed that he was an NBA player.  He looks extremely out of shape, isn't overly tall or athletic...  He's just supposedly a great presence in the locker room, but this book might call that positive energy into question.

Mostly I just want to see the slam dunk competition.  Although it is sad that Aaron Gordon won't be competing anymore.
The guy was robbed 2 times with those amazing dunks he showed too sad there will not anymore for a third time. What I want to see right now on the dunk contest if he's healthy is Zion Williamson I don't know what he'll gonna do but I think he's awesome to watch powering that rim.

I can’t imagine Zion’s sponsors would let him do the dunk contest. Seems like a LeBron type situation. Can’t risk their billion dollar investment getting hurt doing crazy dunks. Would love to see him though.

Aaron Gordon’s under the legs over the mascot dunk was the greatest dunk in dunk contest history. He was robbed twice, yes, the second time being Dwayne Wade’s fault that led to Gordon making a diss song about him. LOL
9236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 03, 2021, 07:14:44 PM
I'll be going with my initial pick from yesterday which is:

Celtics vs Warriors: Celtics -2.5, Warriors have been playing quite well in recent times but most of those wins have come against weaker teams, I'll be expecting the Celtics to bounce back from their two consecutive losses.

I've also got two betbuilder bets for tonight:

1.  Lowry over 20 pnts + asts + rebs, pnts, Vucevic over 21.5, rebs - Siakam over 5.5 and rebs - Vucevic over 8.5 for 2.60 Odds

2.
rebounds - K. Durant over 4.5
points - K. Durant 20+
rebounds - J. Harden over 3.5
points + assists + rebounds - J. Harden 30+
points - Serge Ibaka over 11.5
rebounds - Serge Ibaka over 4.5

@ 3.15 Boosted Odds.

From winning my main bet, but I ended the night as a very unlucky one, firstly Orlando Magic just can't keep themselves in any game!! I felt short by one point from Vucevic and one rebound from Siakam.

Ibaka only got subbed in with 3.1 secs left in Nets vs Clippers and I got 3 points short 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

Was that a parlay?  A whole bunch of moving parts in that #2.  You did get close but man you were doing a lot there.  Serge over 11.5 does look like the unlikely event there, but like you said, he was close.  Good luck with the next one!

Well, I have been following LaMelo Ball's performance for a while now, and I realized that he is managing to maintain consistency in his acting.
Do you think he's one of the favorites to win the rookie of the year award?

Are there other players?

I think he stood out among the rest, it's a unanimous win for him this season if he continues to be consistent, Lamelo is just a rookie but the team already trusted him so much, that simply says he will be the future star of the team.

according to the betting odds, https://www.sportsbettingdime.com/nba/rookie-of-the-year-odds/

Lamelo is the favorites with -125, so he has not failed our expectation.
I definitely agree that Lamelo has a chance to win the rookie of the year, however he has something that other players do not have, which is a star on his position at his team. James wiseman doesn't get that much minutes neither, he gets 21 minutes, Anthony Edwards gets 26 minutes which a rookie can hope to get, whereas Lamelo gets 25 minutes on a team that has Terry Rozier as starter and suddenly dude is getting minutes even from him. That is why I think Lamelo definitley deserves ROTY award if he gets it, but I wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't get it neither.

I believe this dude is definitely on a path that would allow him to be a great player in the future, he definitely needs to figure out how to shoot a lot better, he chucked up 40 foothers when he was 14 years old or so but this is NBA and you need better mechanics. If Blake Griffin can become a good shooter so can anyone, I feel like Lamelo needs to work out with Blakes shooting coach. That would make him elite level.

I think it will come down to lamelo, Edward's and quickley.  Quickly was getting less than 15-20 minutes a game.  Last couple games he has emerged and recently got 30 minutes.  He was averaging 12 points a game while not even playing 20 mins.  And he is shooting 94% from the line so you know end of games he will be out there especially while they are winning.  I need to check out his current odds and lay a bet on him...have to say for 25th pick in the draft cbs sports had it rated as a D+ for the pick.  Goes to show "grades" really amount to almost zero

I think it will come down to LaMelo and Wiseman.  Edwards has had a good year but I'm just not too impressed with him for whatever reason, while I think Wiseman makes a great fit in Golden State and seems to be getting better quickly.  Same with LaMelo...  I'm not sure Edwards fits in as good so long as KAT is around.

On a side note, I'm surprised that KAT, Booker, & DLo haven't managed to get on the same team yet.  When I saw DLo go to the Timberwolves I thought for sure that Booker would follow soon after, considering they have publicly stated their goal is to play together in the past.

quite surprised to hear the amount she won was $60 million.  in my country, this kind of money is enough to buy hundreds of mansions.  in the midst of this "PANDEMIC", their win is a great gift, but what amazed me was that they (her and her husband) always playing the same numbers for 20 years.

Quote
After playing the same lottery numbers for 20 years that came to her husband in a dream, a 57-year-old Toronto woman is $60 million richer.

Do any of you play the same trick as their (playing the same number always)??

https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/toronto-woman-wins-60-million-lotto-max-jackpot-with-numbers-husband-dreamt-of-20-years-ago-1.5271865

That is a great story.  Now she can look forward to the 1000x more likely to be murdered she is as she likely purchases too many liabilities and slowly goes broke.  Although there's the chance she does it right since she's got plenty of life experience.  Sure, money is great, but the % of lotto winners that wish they never won is quite a bit higher than most would believe.

It isn't about high prices or low availability or tight pocketed buyers.  We all likely have more money than ever and eBay is selling GPUs plenty fast at insane prices.  It is a very simple issue of atmosphere.  A very straightforward and simple example of this was given here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313658.msg56243800#msg56243800

You can choose to ignore the problem and continue thinking everything is fine with this sort of behavior, or you can do something about it and watch as your reputation is destroyed, hence the problem.  Currently those who seek influence instead of honesty are succeeding in accelerating this place towards irrelevance and I fear it will be years before those engaging in the destructive behavior even realize they are the bad guys...

As for the honest traders trying to make a few bucks offering great deals for crypto, I'm sorry.  I guess you should have gotten here sooner.

Still don't believe me?  Silver demand is at insane levels globally and you'd be lucky to sell it at spot price here over the last year.  It isn't demand.  It isn't price.  It isn't cheap buyers.  It is atmosphere.
