941  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dangerous life of crypto-billionaires on: December 01, 2022, 07:11:00 PM
Various conspiracy theories aside — not sure what's so special about this? People die all the time of random causes, and yes — including billionaires.

As a billionaire, you can't have a normal death, no matter how you die people will always find fault with something and claim it was a set-up.

A few years ago I was at a party with a few of my old colleagues and friends all happening at our host's father who is the local representative for the leading party, everyone was having a fun time, dancing and so on, he managed to step on the dress of his daughter, and missed the side of the table with his head by a few cm when he fell. Everyone at that moment agreed including him (while laughing), no way that if something bad would have happened would outsiders believe the story of him dying like that, for sure it must have been an assassination.

Billionaire dying in a car crash? No way, all of them have f1 skills! Billionaire dying in a plane crash? No billionaire can die falling from 1 mile in the sky, dying from disease? We all know billionaires are mutants that can't catch any diseases! You have hundreds of teenagers dying after falling from a building or electrocuted on a train taking selfies but now way a billionaire the same age would die trying to go on a late swimming after smoking pot all night.
Of course, that changes in Russia, where a lot commit suicide by stabbing themselves in the back 20 times after falling from the 5th floor of a two stories high building.

This dude made me laugh.  Grin
Obviously he is so true about the incidences being claimed as conspiracy theories. I mean there is no way billionaire can die that easy considering they have lot of money to take care of. But someone will always find a way to kill them so that they can have all of their properties and money in their names.

Obviously that is an absolute joke mate. All we are doing is flogging a dead horse here. It's meaningless to discuss the deaths of billionaires. The point is they are gone and they left pretty heavy stash behind them which by default will get inherited to their decedent's (surprisingly they could be the one writing those conspiracy theories Wink)
942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: December 01, 2022, 06:28:34 PM
I think the most dangerous part of connecting your metamsk wallet is to a new domain which is registered most recently and is not listed as trustworthy by ratings sites. One such experience is with the NFT website. The trend did not followed because it might have been worthless attempts by hackers to steal but they used to connect the wallet on fake NFT selling sites and promising the ownership transfer. However, that was just worst way to lure people into the trap and it was actually taking the coins from you and never ever talked about the trade as well. It's funny that hackers could go to any extent to get some extra bucks.

However, the point here is there could be millions of ways to loot us, but one should have their personal discipline as to where to connect your wallet and where to ask legitimacy questions before proceeding.
943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone know anything about YoBit? The exchange? on: December 01, 2022, 05:52:26 PM
This is the exchange which have many shit coins and tokens whenever a coin or token get hype and touch ATH so it always make a fake coin or token with the same name.

And it introduces many new things or project to grab money. Many tokens it introduced which has now zero value.

You are talking the native token of its own. So it is only listed on yobit.

And one more thing is that their website is not mobile friendly.

Yeah, almost all of the dumping coins are available on this exchanger. I am not sure but sometime it feels like the exchanger was itself invented to list the shitcoins and make business out of it. However, the exchanger is now in shadows, there is not much buzz about it anywhere. The advertisements and signature campaigns everything gone down the sink.

There was period when this exchanger hosted very long signature campaign and even with the negative reviews they kept it on to prove that they are working just fine and all.

The problem was they used to quickly stop the payments, show reasons as not to verify the users and loot them in the name of kyc and shit. The volume was also manipulated many many times. Without any doubt one should not be using it.
944  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 30, 2022, 07:18:02 PM

My only advice to the company that conducts a contest like this is that they must give chance to others, I mean old winners must be restricted of entering after some time. With the skill they already have, it will now be easy for them to win.
This is not fair in my opinion and it all depends on yoj how creative you are as imagination and creativity don't have any limits. The old winners have presented the art which team liked but this doesn't mean they will always win and it's open to all like last time I submitted my entry and was on winning list so should I not be allowed to enter again? The new talent needs to compete with the existing one to prove themselves and give their best which is why we have these contest as you will also have rewards from casino. So take it as motivation and be creative in your way.

Agree with this since it will defeat the purpose of competition so if a participant really want to win then they should do more extra effort to defeat those participants who always win in the contest. They can see what art they submit and what style they do so maybe they can get an idea on how to create good art piece which give them huge advantage to take the prize. Not allowing the old winners is not a solution since it will just throw the excitement which is the main purpose of the contest.

I dont know, its unfair to restrict the previous round winners because that makes no sense at all! Do you restrict topper from the class from attending the whole class again? Do you restrict the president who was elected twice in a row and you are now afraid that he will do it again just because he/she is the best player around?

Do you restrict the best sportsman who keeps doing perfect goals in every match?

I mean come on, what's stopping everyone to enter with the best possible artwork and give competition to the others and specifically to the repeating winners?

I have myself tried the art contest few times, in fact I am obsessed with the fact that I missed various rounds earlier even though I was not even close enough to winning in few.

It's just part of play, if you wanna be winner then give your best!
945  Economy / Economics / Re: Is a ban on Retirees Cypto Account a fair deal? on: November 30, 2022, 06:52:10 PM
Most of this retirees know absolutely nothing about how this digital assets work. The just trust this investment plans to make the right decision for them. Attorney General James is only been protective of her citizens to save them from the downtimes because the only depend on pensions for survival as such risking them on assets the can't control themselves can result to sudden death and heart failures. Because they will have to wait till the market becomes favourable to start making profit on their investments.

This is definitely valid point. In fact it's even not advisable to the new comers who do not even understand or take the efforts to understand how crypto space works and what are these tokens, their tokenomics, how they are associated with different roadmaps and pretty much all the stuff that we experienced after years of time spent into the crypto and specifically on this forum itself.

There is no point for elders who are retired and not willing to go through such messy studies. Even with the brokers it's big risk for them. I think the decision made by this juri is quality one and everyone must welcome it.
946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazil Has Approved Bill Recognizing Bitcoin As a Payment Method. on: November 30, 2022, 04:54:04 PM
Quote
“The agency will be tasked with authorizing and controlling the functioning of cryptocurrency service providers, including brokers and exchanges.”

However, there will be one controlling authority over them so that bitcoin's illicit use can be avoided in the long term. They have already mentioned that what type of charges they may face if such illicit use is found by crypto users within the Brazil.

However, though there is going to be control it's gonna be fun and fruitful for the Brazilians.

From the House bill 4401/21 it suggests that there will be optimum tax relaxation on the important stuff in crypto such as mining and its related process. Not just that, they will also relax the taxes on hardware required by miners up to some extent.

This is really impressive:
Quote
And, in a significant step forward for industry players, the bill also exempts “legal entities” from some taxes regarding activities to do with “processing, mining and conservation of virtual assets.”

“the bill would exempt hardware and software from certain taxes if used by legal entities for the processing, mining and conservation of virtual assets.”

In the trends of bearish and haunted period, this is definitely news which eases us!
947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto on the way to destruction? on: November 30, 2022, 04:40:35 PM
Is the cryptocurrency market headed for destruction or can we expect something bigger to come?

Or do we have any other options other than we the common people to slow down like turtles and be patient?

Those were just instructions to safe keeping the funds into decentralized wallets so that it can't be accessed by the third parties. I think this is what it meant and may this is what Mr. Satoshi stated long time ago which people are not following due to the greed of earning more and more fiat money as profit from the crypto trading.

Idk, but sometimes I feel that if we would have kept using wallet to wallet transfers (p2p) then crypto could have been even better place to live and prosper.

Also the instructions are simple thoughts of Satoshi's vision. There is no need to make buzz out of it.
948  Economy / Economics / Re: American EVs reduced gasoline consumption by just 0.54% in 2021 on: November 29, 2022, 07:27:04 PM
That clearly suggests us that we are not producing the EV's at faster rates and neither there is good adoption of the same.

If you checkout the data then we only have around 6-7 million Electric Vehicles registered in the USA. If this data is compared with the conventional cars then it will blow your mind. The conventional cars that were registered by the year 2021 are around 289 million cars.

I mean that is sort of ratio which tells us why gasoline consumption is reduced by only 0.54% The article does not take into consideration the actual figures such EV vs Conventional car ratio.

Following is the data associated with conventional cars that were registered by the end of different years within America. That is obvious number considering the fact that EV's are brand new in the market and are not trend setter as of yet!

Source

However, if you checkout the number of Electric Vehicles that were sold in USA then they are literally in thousands and not in millions if checked brand wise.

With the current speed of production and also to achieve higher goals like selling more than 10 million EV's then they need to have more than 9 million EV charging ports spread across the country. This goal can be achieved by 2030 which is still far from the sunrise.

Though following data is old, then also there is not much hike in the sales of EV's which could be considered as trend setter so as to show us remarkable numbers in reduction of the gasoline consumption.

Quote
With the expected boom of the Electric Vehicles market, various measures need to be set up. For instance, in order to support the 18.7 million EV estimate in 2030, automakers must install about 9.6 million charge ports at workplaces, homes, and public places. This is a major investment in terms of EV charging infrastructure.

I dont think we should even expect to see reduction in the Gasoline Consumption with such tiny number of EV's running around the country as compared to the Conventional Cars.
949  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: November 29, 2022, 04:46:34 PM
2) - Buy small amounts at a time , we are buying at 19k , 16 k , 14k , 12k , 10.1k , 7.25k wherever it goes we keep buying . This is how big financial funds and big traders are averaging their buy

The way it is said, it's entirely right. This is traditional and well known strategy in the real world, where its formerly known as "DCA" or Dollar Cost Averaging. The way it is stated here, you have to keep buying the crypto at various entry points and the entry points are nothing but at what price you are buying. This has to be versatile and should take your investment to such cost that your BEP always keeps dropping and thus it becomes very easy for you to break the profitability window once market revives from lets say bearish trend such as current one.

This is most logical explanation to this strategy. I might have used too much layman language while explaining it but this is just to make us understand in the simplest way.

In fact for those who might have bought very high prices, now is the good time to buy and bring down the BEP.
950  Other / Off-topic / Re: Amazon buys rights to produce and distribute an FTX miniseries on: November 29, 2022, 03:47:33 PM
That's really psych, I love it. At least we are going to get some real entertainment by next summer if they speed up the production. I just hope that Amazon producers show the reality and what really happened inside those walls.

To make series on the financial crisis at such huge extent they must study every bit of scenario carefully. It is going to be based on the real story and not just the random fiction story.

I hope they will have the best men at work to study whole case. Meet real persons, go inside walls and dig out what really happened. I already see it coming and millions of people gonna hold their patience until it gets released.  Cheesy
951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching Bitcoin To My Friends| You're invited too (Online class) part 2 on: November 29, 2022, 02:12:56 PM
That is a interesting start up and you should actually start with your local community before going all into the big forum. That’s just to have more sense of how your Standard Operating Procedure is going to be. Many times handling big crowd could be challenging. So start small, keep gathering community, keep talking about it over and over again. This should be two process where after some days or weeks your listeners must start asking Back challenging questions about everything you taught. That would be kick start in to know you are on right path.
It’s always great to see someone taking efforts to educate others about bitcoin. Keep growing mate Smiley
952  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency in Central Bank Reserves - DoE, Harvard on: November 28, 2022, 07:25:34 PM
The gold and bitcoin comparison is very nice in the third para. No one ever considered the losses over the period of time. The loss is not just in terms of pricing but it could be associated with many other factors such as loss in the metal itself, good reserve which are untouched Forever (ex. Temples, Shrines, Cultural). It may not be useful when wars are broken because no one will be using metal to trade. High possibility that we will be working on modern missions with high tech war and bitcoin could be good transfer value.
953  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: November 28, 2022, 06:18:54 PM
It will take two computer and an internet connection to still run the node successfully and well we will be left out of no internet or computers when nuclear war happens and almost everything is exploded out of the world. I highly doubt that anything like that could really happen. Considering your factors well we are already living that sort of life alongside governments so I don’t think there is anything much that can be done to destroy the bitcoin. Technically speaking bitcoin is going to stay for very long period of time. It’s modern and it’s spreading like light.
954  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 28, 2022, 05:46:53 PM
The examples you given are based on the fact that they were abandoned by the owners of project and second associated with Hack. As far as bitcoin is considered its one of the highly integrated coin over blockchain and the oldest seed that we know existed in the crypto space. Definitely it’s PoW is far more secure and now has become far more complex to crack down. The first ever mined block already has more than millions of confirmations so definitely there is heck of the way to crack it open and steal the info. Now that’s the thing which keeps us involved with the bitcoin.
955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 28, 2022, 05:32:02 PM
I don’t know but that is how everyone starts when they are new to something. I am not just talking about crypto space but I am also talking about rest of stuff that we go through in financial domains. The learning process is all about making mistakes however we can always play smart by learning the mistakes from others and then not repeating them.

For every beginner out there, I would give only one message and that’s stay away from get quick rich schemes and ponzi. Rest you gonna learn slowly slowly.
956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin worth $1.5B withdrawn from Coinbase in 48 hours on: November 28, 2022, 04:19:13 PM
That is good thing isn't it?

Finally they might have decided to invest some money into buying Ledger Hardware wallet for their Bitcoins.  Grin
Up until now they might be lazy enough for not buying it Or they were just buying and buying without any second thought to exchangers security.

This is definitely reaction to the FTX incidence only. I think FTX was amazing lesson for every crypto user and at the same time it was the most expensive one!

Now let's just hope that others will also follow it as positive vibe rather than selling with FOMO reaction to the high volume movement like this. By the way that is one crazy rich guy out there.  Cheesy
957  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Agriculture Investment - Public School Grows $50k in Wheat on: November 28, 2022, 03:47:05 PM
Or else they could actually start giving education to the students who wants to learn agriculture and advance methodology behind it. There is huge market in the GMO, modern techniques calling for high quality seed germination by applying scientific knowledge and ongoing research.

In America most of the people are trying to be in the race of white collar jobs. However, nobody wants to keep doing agriculture due to status symbol or whatever thinking they might have behind it.

However, if they try to enforce more and more agriculture associated education and ask families to attend more farming then it could change the entire scenario explained above.
958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Long term Crypto winning strategies on: November 27, 2022, 06:56:57 PM
I mean this is okay strategy for bitcoin but I don’t think Altcoins stand a chance in my portfolio this year. Considering the blood bath we seeing here I am pretty sure alts will take little longer to revive from the after shock of the market. Let us not forget we are also moving towards more harder recession world wide which is going to shock the market one more time and have bad effects on the investment that we make today. Yes buying while the market is down is perfect plan but it’s sharpen plan when you buy the right coin, in this case - bitcoin.
959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn 9-10% APY using USDT and a simple strategy on: November 27, 2022, 06:37:35 PM
I am not sure how good these offers are after the market is crashed and since it is the time to buy more liquid coins rather than putting everything locked up. I mean there may be time when we will need to sell and rebuy and repeat these cycles to achieve good profitability along the way so locking up for such high period looks off right now. My view is not negative but I am thinking about various factors at the same time whole thinking about the staking based method of earning profits that too in the bearish market.
960  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Establishes New National Bitcoin Office on: November 27, 2022, 05:34:47 PM
I am not sure how are they doing it but it’s peoples money that they are using on daily basis. Whether it is investment in the right direction or not is real question here. I understand that they have made El Salvador as renowned country with one of the most bitcoin oriented approach however they also need to think about how people are reacting towards it? I have read and seen many articles where people were like they do not want bitcoin but they want proper infra and services in the public interest and many of them think governments should be more focused on it rather than bitcoin itself! That’s really negative thought but as bitcoin lover it may happen they will become one of the richest country soon if bitcoin went boom!
