Are you stuck on the GPG part or the OTC part?

Thank you very much, I was finally able to create and register the gpg. Guess thats a step forward in the learning curve.

949  Other / Off-topic / P2P limits from ISP on: May 29, 2012, 02:35:12 PM
With my ISP downloading a 1 gig file takes roughly 45 min, but downloading the bitcoin block takes about 9 hours. I always use QT cause of its suppose to be the most secure and it was the one I originally downloaded and worked, so I have stuck with it.

One day out of boredom, I installed the QT client on a second PC within the same LAN, I thought, since its P2P and its inside the same LAN, then it will transfere the data faster cause its inside the same lan, but it still took about 9 hours to download.

I reinstalled the QT client to transfer the wallet to a new PC, and started around 11 pm est, its 10 am EST today and it still has not finished, but getting there lol.

Just wondering how I can test if my ISP has p2p limits

You don't create reputation, you earn it. Words from the wise!
Yep, and asking how to increase your rep usually lands you on my "suspicious" list.

Atleast quote my words correctly before criticism, I never said increase, I said create or establish. Anyway I ask not for myself more to be able to filter out people in this forum.

Ive had a fresh water Guppy Culture for about 2 years, they where in a 10 gallon aquarium and they bred every so often population always kept between 10 - 20, mothers eat hatchlings.

Recently I recieved a 50 gallon aquarium and I hope the population will grow to about 50 - 60

Argentina should default. Declare bankrupcy.
Once Argentina gets pressured to start paying back, they should declare bankruptcy.
Then declare that if they pay back now, then they will bring pain and suffering to their people and incur in human rights violations.

Since their econ is already shrinking the domino effect of defaulting wont be felt.
Take the opportunity to develop the economy, by not increasing the tax burden on local biz and freeing the import export, also develop the service sector so that their main resource is untangible, so no mineral goods are fleeing...

I mean Iceland sorta did something like that and it seems to have worked for them. Greece in the 1930's did something similar and then they decided to listen to the West again...
954  Other / Politics & Society / Excluding Cuba on: April 16, 2012, 05:22:07 PM
Since Canada and USA citizens regularly travel to Cuba for tourism.
Yet both the Canadian and USA governments routinely exclude Cuba from international summits, almost always within the Western Hemisphere.

It is true that Cuba is not democratic, highly corrupt and not transparent at all. But excluding them from summits is just childish. Most recently "Cumbre de las Americas", they are excluded from bodies like "OEAS" and others.

The US embargo has not toppled the Cuban regime and Canada is one of their largest trading partners. US has stayed firm in their act, but Canada is acting with double standards.

If the Cuban government is given more exposure to different International Organism, that would in the long run influence Cuba to jump into modern geopolitics.

So is it fear that the left wing movement will sprout Northward, its funny, cause Food Stamps, Medicaid + Medicare, heat and electric assistance and subsidized rent is a form of socialism. As well as unemployment with its federal extension, etc... I don't have much information regarding the Canadian system, but I am sure they get a lot of subsidies.

I am in favor of social assistance, as long as there are controls, cause whenever you get help, people tend to abuse...

If the US doesn't want to trade with Cuba (against free market) that is their choice, but why not try to create a line of communication amongst all Western Hemisphere and eventually create a bloc to be able to withstand the emerging China Asia Bloc and Ruso Europe Bloc...

Just a few thoughts

in large voting systems, it is impossible for consensus to be achieved, cause there will always be someone who doesn't like what the funds are going to be spend on.

So nothing would ever be completed if all parts of the private keys are required for the transaction to take effect.

This is not the best example but it would be like having someone with multiple personalities and all personalities have to agree to do something in order for that to take action...

kinda like Alien X from Ben 10

The best way is having one person call the shots and a counter balance just in case that person starts shooting blanks.

An Economy the Size of Argentina simply doesn't collapes.

They restructure.

Of course there will be a few winners (speculators) and a whole bunch of loosers (rest of the population)
