I have surplus capacity over at my p2pool http://54.227.253.120:9500/static/

We're running about 45 mh/s.  Happy to take new miners to help balance out network load.  Should be able to handle 100 mh/s + with no problem

http://digi.cryptcoins.net Scam or bad configured ... i only gives me 700 KH/s when i actually have 2700 kH/s this is over 1 hour now

My p2pool is at 41 mh/s now and we're solving blocks very quickly.  Feel free to come join the fun!

10,212 world internet latency traces were under 300 ms, considered "Nominal".  Only one is presently 300 ms or over

Let's not confuse issues.  Orphans are due to low starting difficulty not block solve time.  Once difficulty rises, often at too fast a rate, the issue becomes the opposite - coins that were designed to be fast like CNC and FTC become slow due to the fact nobody can solve a block at the current difficulty.  Until difficulty retargets, those blocks that were supposed to take 15 seconds to solve might take 4 hours.
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins with very short block times demonstrate incompetence on: May 21, 2013, 03:33:38 AM
Internet latency is much lower than when Bitcoin was first released (2009).  Should not be an issue on modern networks most nodes can ping each other within 250 ms

That's a laughable statement.

I believe DGC is actually more profitable at current difficulty and block reward.  That said, it isn't on coinchoose yet so we're not getting much attention.  This is a good thing !

This is a strong coin.  It is the first one I took the time to create a pool for.  Good effort by the developer and a very fair start

As far as I can tell my p2pool is working fine.  I have an independent miner connected to it and the pool is paying immediately every time a block is discovered.

P2Pool stands for Peer 2 Pool, we shoud all have a P2Pool node and create a Pool.
I shouldn't connect to your, I don't know if this makes sense to you.
There is a huge rate of rejected and stales.

Not really ... Shares: 1801 total (0 orphaned, 71 dead) Efficiency: 103.3%

No problem

My new p2pool is http://54.227.253.120:9500/static/

This is a dedicated server so should stay up continuously

cgminer instructions:

cgminer --scrypt -o http://54.227.253.120:9500/ -u YOURDGCADDRESS+0.00116414 -p x --queue 0

pool will pay out miners immediately when each block is found.  Rewards will increase slightly over time for dedicated miners

The +0.00116414 can be changed to a desired level of difficulty.  That rate is good for two 7970's.  For CPU or fewer GPU's, make that number proportionally smaller so that the server will dish out appropriately difficult work shares

Baritus - can you add my new p2pool server back to your original list ?

Has been running smoothly for awhile now

Thanks

bump.  Avoid GLD if you can

I hope the hash rate rises gradually and allows the network to grow with it.

Agree gradual rise is a good thing.  A sudden massive increase in hash rate followed by a collapse is bad for a coin.  See what happened to FTC and CNC (!)
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WorldCoin is a SCAM -- Pre MINED to the EXTREME ** Virus Detected in Client on: May 20, 2013, 11:53:38 PM
Irrelevant.  Worldcoin has 3.5 gh/s.  It is a player - rich enough to fly in its own jet

Reminder that I have moved the pool over to a new IP address due to some server issues on the original:

http://54.227.253.120:9500/static/

I've been able to get the old IP working as well, different pool, but recommend everyone switch over.

We're up to 6.5 mh/s on the new address.  Hoping to get it back up to 40 mh/s or so

Should be working very smoothly

Thanks!

Charles,

My new P2Pool is paying out properly when blocks are found:

http://54.227.253.120:9500/static/

Need more hash on it so please join in
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DGC] DigitalCoin.Co || Instant | Stable | Reliable || LAUNCHED on: May 20, 2013, 09:11:25 PM
I had to switch my pool over to a new IP:

http://54.227.253.120:9500/static/

Sorry for any inconvenience
Only cost me 2 hours of mining on a new coin cause I went back to bed.

P2Pools are faster for some. http://next.afraid.org:8119/static/ works well.

These p2pools still aren't talking to each other.

Deepest apologies drop me your DGC address and I'll send you a block's worth

Reopening my digitalcoin p2p pool with a new IP sorry for any inconvenience:

This one should be much more reliable
