Any DEV's here for a new coin idea heh?

I am looking at starting a new coin or taking over an existing one. Anyone knows if bittrex asks money to get the coin listed?
962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] iBITS - Internet Currency - Blockchain Registry & Attestation on: August 06, 2015, 06:52:02 PM
I've been in crypto land a long time now. 3 1/2 years now. If a DEV steps up to take over this coin let me know, I have some great ideas i'm just not a programmer so I have no way of materializing these ideas. Of course this was a P&D but it doesn't mean it's over.

We have to wait a while to give the dev the time to respond.

Lol, keep dreaming boys. Just like dibs, globe, and grid. This coin value is only going to dump from here. In a couple of days the price will be around 20 satoshi. I'll return just to laugh at your loss by then.
You are a 10 years old? You would laugh if someone gets run over by a train won't you? You are pathetic!
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] iBITS - Internet Currency - Blockchain Registry & Attestation on: August 06, 2015, 05:00:07 PM
why are we talking about a takeover? Dev, can you please post something? I'm pretty sure just posting ANYTHING will make the price go up because people will know that you are still here and ibits is still on track.

Yes, that will be enough. Just let us know where we are now. Are you still working on this coin?
965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] iBITS - Internet Currency - Blockchain Registry & Attestation on: August 06, 2015, 04:45:26 PM
Lol, it's so cute reading you guys clinging to this scam coin.

Well, for now it maybe a scam coin, but if I can I will make this a huge succes. There are other examples of coins that were taken over by the community and did just fine. I do want the devs permission to let the take over happen. If we have permission I will be looking for people to create a strong team. We will develop great features and do lots of marketing. it all depends on the current dev. He will keep the coin and develop it further, or we will take over. It is up to him.

I don't normally do this but I just bought .7 btc worth of ibits at 350 sat. If this coin even gets back to a FRACTION of what it was worth just a few days ago, anyone who buys now will make an absolute killing! Plus from what I can tell the devs seem sincere and competant so LET'S DO THIS Grin
+1 I am with u, definitley worth the risk at these prices Smiley

I also bought some. Lets win a lot or lose all.
Hell yea! Smiley Hopefully Dev isnt gonna abandon this and maybe come with news soon Smiley

If so, we can do a community takeover. I have c++ experience and I am willing to take over development if the dev abandons this nice coin.

@dev Can you give us an update of where we stand? What are your future plans and unique selling points?

- Generates a lot more pos blocks making use of the time drift exploit

Give an address that has been staking more often than it should've.

Just hold on. I am still testing.
Then you should start promoting it after its working.

Tests are done. I have to make some time adjustments I had 3 blocks in 15 minutes with 4k staking. They went orphan  Sad

I think it needs less time in the future. I had 7100 seconds and now I brought it down to 5000. It takes just some time to see the effect. I tought that if I take a time that fits within the 2 hour clock skew limit it would be ok.

Anyone any thoughts about how much seconds it has to go in the future?

We're aware of the timedrift exploit in pos 2.0, it is one of many exploits that will be resolved in AxiomPos 3.0.

When do you expect to release AxiomPos 3.0 (which sounds like a great new feature) I will be happy to check if I can find some exploitable code there.

True, I was bit to enthousiast. I will post it again later in when my tests complete.
Till then can you speak a little bit about it?

I modified the wallet code so that it thinks that the current date time is in the future. Also removed the comparison check with the system clock. Second thing is that the wallet performs some validations during staking. I modified the code so that it skips these validations and therefor the staking proces is a bit more efficient. I am optimizing things right now and I am chasing another thing to change in code so there is even more profit.

So who wants to buy my modified wallet with time drifting and efficient staking?  Grin

- Generates a lot more pos blocks making use of the time drift exploit
- Skips several things when staking, makes it more efficient.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash and SHABAL-256 with Schnorr Signatures - POW / POS on: August 02, 2015, 07:16:13 PM
maybe he got it before you encrypted it... else you can trust my personal windows builds (they are on github)... i might code sign them in the future...

if somebody know a cheap way to do it... (a place to buy signatures for personal users)
namescheap.com do a range of certs and can pay in BTC if thats any help..

They offer SSL certificates that cannot be used to sign code. The certificate needs to have the code signing key usage property included (it is an OID in the certificate) The key usage properties say what the purpose of the certificate is. If code signing is not included the validation of the signature should fail with the message that the certificate is not for this purpose.

The strange thing to me was that one of the stollen wallets was unlocked only for staking. IDK how the thief got that one - it was fully encrypted ...

possibly a keylogger ...

windows is riddled with stuff like that ...

especially if you have punched the keyword / password in there recently ...

#crysx

a keylogger is not enough... you need to send the stuff somewhere, or at least open a remote port...

Still I think it is in the RPC interface somewhere. He had it open for the internet like me and with the same result. Does the wallet create logging of RPC commands?

Yes, in debug.log

It is empty. Is debug logging turned on by default?

better, and seems to allow https too... will try their free one first

I already have the free one and it is a perfect solution for personal ssl websites. On the other hand, the free version can not do code signing. (Technicaly possible, but restricted by the key usage)
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AXIOM] AxiomMemHash and SHABAL-256 with Schnorr Signatures - POW / POS on: August 02, 2015, 04:53:23 PM
even the apple store one is cheaper than that, paying 100$ is the max i can...

Maybe startssl is an option for 59 dollar per year: http://www.startssl.com/  check out "StartSSL™ Verified"

@Dev: Can you please tell what random generator you use for generating private keys? I can wrestle myself through code here, but it is more efficient to just ask.

yep, not really cheap... 330$/yr to be "trusted" by smartscreen pfff and ... not by antiviruses :;p

The main thing is that users can determine if it is from the original source. The smartscreen trust is not really worth something and antivirus is not dependend of digital signatures. And yes, it is very expensive for personal use.
