"All my friends are asking if that wiggle above bitcoin is Ethereum. Sorry no, it’s GAME, I don’t know what that is, but it’s likely a statistical aberration – someone’s gotta get lucky."
Witty AF. Il mondo gira, you know. Smiley

I reject the simplistic conclusions of that web site...
It's like saying you can't outperform the S&P 500 with a RANDOM basket of junior stocks...
Or that expertise plays no role in financial markets or venture capital.

If you are building a simplistic basket of stocks or alts (or running high school level "technical indicators")...
Then you fail to understand that one is playing a cut-throat Zero Sum Game against experts and insiders and exchanges...
With maybe 5% winners at most and 95% losers (though this has been skewed UP by Bitcoin's freakish performance)...
So a lot of idiots in crypto got lucky, but think they are geniuses.

As for GAME, I've been mostly in since Aug 2015 at 10K sat (so it's doubled)...
But projecting from 1 sat in Nov 2014 is an abuse of stats just like the rest of that article  Smiley

Regardless of the number of alts stowed in that graph, the comparison of marketcaps simply does not -- and can not -- account for the fact that:

1. Money flow from the bitcoinland does affect alts coz of the btc being the gatekeeper for swaps. On the contrary altcoinland money affects the ass. How many senior alts tradable against FIAT do u know? Fucking bunch. The rest is traded against BTC resulting in a unidirectional passage.

2. Altcoin marketcap shows a gigantic bloat because of thinness of the orderbooks.

Example. 10K bitcoins leave the proprietary BTC money flow and inject into XMR. Neither BTC capitalization nor price shows a visible reaction to this while both monero capitalization and price elevate 15 fold. Do the math.

0.00883. Nice. Someone should divide the price by four to make me enter.

Why are u guys so positive? Im of a high self-awareness (much higher than u can see in ordinary humans) and I do pile up my brains in continuous meditations when I have a hard time observing reality. Happens when I leapfrog on a floor totally stoned, in a state of heavy drug stupefaction, my parts are about to fly in a thin air.

U be like ---- This will bode well, that will succeed, another thing will ramp up to perfection and yield a 1000% return

Back to reality, nothing will work, ur meager material deeds will languish away following the destiny of depreciated world order and death of our great oppressors, beheaded beasts spawned by darkness of our souls, and bitten chains of hell hounds tensed in readiness to rip us apart. We all are doomed.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ▐[ANN] [TRUMP] TrumpCoin - The Currency Dedicated to Making America Great Again▌ on: November 19, 2016, 08:50:27 PM
Despite the sudden drop in price 2 days after election surprisingly trump coin started to rise up again and I love these kind of price fluctuation that makes me wanna more to be involved with trading.

I bet if trump passes away tomorrow trump coin will rise up to the skies.
965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitstamp now $30 behind Chinese exchanger on: November 19, 2016, 08:44:09 PM
I'm always amazed by those spreads, arbitrage should surely be profitable with those conditions, and i've heard of quite a few bots capable of doing it by themselves.
So why is none doing it as soon as spreads like those appear?
 Huh

I do arb sometimes. Note, its dangerous to store big sums on chinese exchanges if u are not a chinese. If they find out ur country is not in the qualified list of counties theyre bound to serve, they may lock u out of that account.

SILK already existed and it's price will increase once the renamed weaver platform is launched with the renamed drksilk.

Surprised c-cex is still alive. Just checked. Exchange's credibility got amputated a year ago. And owner shotguns samogon every time he chats. Hes Drunk 24/7. LMAO.
968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Zcoin - The Zerocoin cryptocurrency, guaranteeing financial privacy on: November 19, 2016, 08:07:10 PM
Why won't Roger Ver even fire off a simple tweet about Zcoin? He's favorited one of my Zcoin tweets but he won't make a public statement of support himself.

You'd think a guy $500k invested in this thing would be a bit more proactive....

Ver simply provided capitals for Wilcox to start off right. ZEC is not Zcoin and, as far as I know, Vers unrelated to Zcoin.

He and others will be paid back over the course of several months off the taxable miners income. Its 20% revenue coming from each block mined.

Pakistan tokens, now Philippines tokens. Dont quite ur day job guyz. In a good sense.
970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are coins with huge whole digits a good thing? on: November 19, 2016, 07:51:15 PM
Yes. If the number of fractional digits is something out of this world, peg it to alts, it will move the decimal point to the right depending on BTC:ALT or FIAT:ALT exchange rate and allow for more convenient conversion.

972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PAK] PakCoin - Pakistan's Crypto Currency - Official Thread on: November 19, 2016, 01:00:55 PM
PakCoin needs a android/ios app for greater adoption

I totally agree.

I thought we had android wallet, but I've checked and we have this linked
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mygeopay.wallet

Telecom sector: Pakistan to have 40 million smartphones by end of 2016
http://tribune.com.pk/story/953333/telecom-sector-pakistan-to-have-40-million-smartphones-by-end-of-2016/

and growing
http://tribune.com.pk/story/1060520/studying-pakistans-growing-obsession-with-smartphones/

We can pay to have the android wallet done.

iOs is not needed since most of people in Pakistan goes with android

Nice one. Despite its being pushed on american forum running on american servers, with 80% of americans out there, it doesnt need iOS since it has "Pakistan" part in it. Oscar winning logic.

ANy updates of the development?

How can be a update. The Coin has no DEV.

Inform yourself 1.0.3 is comming soon.

We already have some community devs along @heyrethh working on applying the patches.

Thats cool bud, except marvelous character like busoni wont ever give ya a green light, period.

Wonder why? Probably he got bribed for listing the corporate chain the second day after the opening.

I dont deny the fact this may play out like Expanse but rather on c-cex.
974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've been warning you that this is going to happen on: November 19, 2016, 12:04:25 PM

I just read the cryptocoinsnews one, and it says the story originated at zerohedge, which is the same site that recently spread FUD that China was banning bitcoin. All the other news sites picked up on it, but it was FUD.

If the story is true zerohege has overstated and embellished it. The IRS only want details of USA customers, and are starting a court case to attempt getting permission. It might lose the court case, and court cases normally drag on for years so there will be no immediate effects.

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/irs-targeting-bitcoin-transaction-records-coinbase-users/

The cryptocoinsnews story gives this quote from a reddit post claiming to be by a coinbase employee called CB-Dave.

This coinbase page says it does have an employee with the reddit name CB-Dave.

https://support.coinbase.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1766604-is-coinbase-present-on-social-media-

The IRS won't be getting any transaction history quickly, and might never get any if it loses its court case.

The evil truth be that a lion chunk of pseudonews spreading across the web like a plague has the origin on zerohedge. Its run by bovarian or romanian 40 yo dude if Im not mistaken who seems to have moved to the US but apparently failed to spare a bit of his lifetime savings and buy a 10 bux SSl certificate for that site. Indeed Trustworthy source doh

The next stage of the investigation assumes someone has to contact CB-Dave guy (if he exists of course) and ask what he has to say.

Actually, ZeroHedge is a very sophisticated troll site...
Probably carefully crafted by at least 50 people on a Russian troll farm...
It's a brilliant mix of quality market info, comical conspiracy insanity and anti-American hysteria.

You do realize that Russia has entire networks (RT News) and massive trolls farms flooding the world with misinformation? Yes?

Nope, its a european dude for sure, 40 yo or so, probably not russian. At least Im not aware of sources claiming their origin to be in russia.

Bloomberg article reads:

Quote
The answer, it turns out, is three people. Following an acrimonious departure this month, in which two-thirds of the trio traded allegations of hypocrisy and mental instability, Lokey, 32, decided to unmask himself and his fellow Durdens.

Lokey said the other two men are Daniel Ivandjiiski, 37, the Bulgarian-born former analyst long reputed to be behind the site, and Tim Backshall, 45, a well-known credit derivatives strategist. (Bloomberg LP competes with Zero Hedge in providing financial news and information.)

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2016-04-29/unmasking-the-men-behind-zero-hedge-wall-street-s-renegade-blog

It appears he is 37 and from bulgaria. In the bogus draft about china's ban, they were referring to a banner popping up on a bloomberg terminal in one moment of time which was thereupon taken down for good reason. It was something like "China said to mull fund outflows via bitcoin on yuan drop". So the assumption be that zerohedge were probably possessing some kind of knowledge about that message / banner whatever it was since they were first to pioneer the media outlets with the original bogus article. Its hard to guess.

But the IRS/NSA will methodically screen out high value targets and go after Bitcoin milllionaires and Devs...

Actually Peter Thiel administers to Trump's needs. Currently under official appointment. So its not all that bad.
975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I've been warning you that this is going to happen on: November 18, 2016, 08:54:59 PM
Never stored anything in that trumpy hole, never bought a single BTC on there, never had any accounts on there. Never revealed any info to any centralized service, whether its dead or functioning. Use multiple accounts under reputable VPN service with 256 bit AES encryption or tor, disable flash applets, referrers, third party cookies and other crap and ull be good.

How were you able to withdraw any cash from any exchange without providing any personal infos?

Finex doesnt have any limits if u do crypto in/out. Polo limits the daily to $2.5K in btc/crypto outflows for the tier 1 accounts. Bittrex had no limits when I was trading there. C-cex is a bear pit, but also had no limits.

So you were just withdrawing cryptos but not actual cash. KYC is mandatory for any money withdrawal. I guess only localbitcoins can allow people to do that without providing any informations.

Im a paranoid. I have always been. Right off the bat, its not my priority to deal via credit cards or wire transfers coz of a number of regulatory limitations imposed by banking policies on daily ATM and cashbox withdrawal limits here. I always deal in person. No coinmama coinbase or other shitcrap. According to LB, the daily buying capacity for my place is well over $90K meaning I can cash out $900,000 within 10 days. And theres an option to grab counterfeit cards for like $15 if a need arises to drain lesser amounts which is of a little use for me and is obviously workable with any exchange since all thats required on their part is holders name. As far as genuine fiat I prefer to keep it in Liechtensteinische Landesbank.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid coins: The importance of the name on: November 18, 2016, 07:57:38 PM
I remember a site that graphically, in the form of spiral diagrams epitomizes 5 years of altcoin evolution. Last time I checked it a year back, it had all alts released between 2011-2015, literally all of them, 600+ or so alts, with animated annotations and nice grouping into classes depending on hashing algorithms, features and manifestos. Anyone remembers whats the site name?
