961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 31, 2024, 07:10:13 AM
We know, we also say that gambling is only for fun it's right. But in the end most of the gamblers I assume they do gamble for financial benefits. Once someone gambles for financial benefits and depends on gambling win/lose to livelihood means he is gambling-addicted.
I can't truly just accept the fact that gambling is actually for fun, we lose our money when gambling so meaning we just enjoy wasting our money even if we have nothing to do with it. On the other hand, anyone who actually does it as a means of earning financially to be able to meet up with cost of living is actually becoming an addict.
Gambling is more like investing in some Altcoins, if it happens to give profits fine and if it doesn't also good but we don't also say we rely on our Altcoins investment to carryout expenses on our cost of living.
I don't agree if gambling is equated with altcoin investment. because altcoins still have clear programs and good management. different from gambling which only relies on the luck factor.
Or is it possible that the altcoin investment you mean here is investing in memecoin?

Gambling is never for fun only no matter where the money comes from.I know of many people who say they gamble for fun but deep down that is a lie which I also say to myself to continue gambling. If all people who said they are gambling for fun they would be using the play for fun feature and not with real money,so let's not lie to ourselves,we only play to win more money.

Leverkusen will meet and face Darmstadt in the next match, Darmstadt itself is the bottom team which has been confirmed that they will be relegated this season so Leverkusen will win easily and can save full points.
Victory in this match will be very important considering that Bayern Munich has started to really catch up and has narrower difference in points, in this match Leverkusen is the favorite and is the superior team.
If an unsatisfactory result occurs, namely the same as the previous match which ended in draw, then this will be an opening for Bayern Munich to push forward and get first place in the Bundesliga standings.
Leverkusen must be more careful and they must give a game with full performance so that victory remains in their hands as if they were the favorite team at the top.
On paper there is not the slightest obstacle for Bayer Leverkusen to win in this match, Darmstadt is a very easy meal for Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso must be able to formulate a strategy so that his main players don't get tired because in the next match they will face a big match. The three points will certainly belong to Leverkusen, but big challenges must be overcome in the next match to secure their position. Leverkusen must be able to maintain its performance to maintain its unbeaten record in the Bundesliga this season, at least a draw must be achieved in this game in order to keep its position safe.

That is true as Bayern Munchen is keeping up in a great way lately by winning every game and be very narrow in points difference compared to Bayer Leverkussen.I know that every thing is in Leverkussen hand and if they win their games the pressure will be all in Bayern Munchen which can lead to them making mistakes. If Leverkussen makes mistake then it is a sure thing they will most likely lose the title fight as I doubt they would be able to handle the pressure created from such action.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2023/24 on: January 30, 2024, 03:19:20 PM
What Sporting CP did! I don't think anyone expected them to score 8 goals tonight. They intimidated all their rivals. They sent the message that we'll be champions this season. With such a good squad and such a good game, they really should be champions.
Benfica and Porto also won this week so the point difference is still same.

The number of goals scored by them is impressive and a great one yet it does not mean anything in the fight for the title as the title fight is wide open between the top three teams and of course with more chances to be won by a Lisboa team rather than Porto.Benfica is a great team and in consistency and the team who is most consistent in the end will most likely win.Sporting needs to keep up the good performance or they risk big as the team who makes a mistake greatly reduce their chances to win the league.
964  Other / Off-topic / Re: Before you start gambling, do some research first on: January 30, 2024, 02:58:40 PM
It's good to have a source of income at first before you start gambling but I want to talk about this even more, do you know that even with your source of income you might be at one spot and not move forward?

No progression means you are no different from someone who have no source of income, I know someone who work so hard, I mean the hard jobs, that I can't even do, but at the end of the month when he gets paid he always waste everything on gambling, as if something told him that gambling is the way in this world for him.

He can't stop this, he can't help it, he is addicted to this way, I knew this after he start going around asking for things that he should be able to afford as a worker, he confessed that he lost money at first but the same thing kept happening for months and I find out that he is risking all his salary on gambling.

Is there anyway to help this person? I have given some advice to start using small percentage of the whole salary and safe the rest but still couldn't, and I don't want to help him to hold his money for him, he is over 28 years old, not a underage.

He have gotten used to this way because he started gambling all by himself and he won some money but end up even fuelling his addiction. What is next? Any tip?

There is only one way for him if he truly wants to recover and that is asking for help, professional help but as a foundational base to success after such treatment,he needs to want this himself badly. There is no other possibilities as all other options beside professional help in such cases can only lead to worse consequences as the days pass by.Even if he had done some research emotions cannot be controlled so still he would need this professional help to recover.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have a "gambling problem" which you can sometimes control for years? on: January 30, 2024, 02:17:32 PM
I think the process you mentioned, won't work similarly with everyone cause everybody has different mentality. At first, i faced such problem due to gambling, i worried a lot about the result (win or loss), after losing or lack of money effected on my life. Although that time i was in limit too, that's why it hadn't effected on my life badly. And Then even the last answer of your question is, when i realised gambling isn't for making money, i do loss more than winning, then anyhow my mind able just able to stop it considered as useless thing lol. Actually just need to control your greed and wake up to reality that's all. Now there's no problem when i do Gambling. I can make myself happy even by placing bet even with little amount where loss doesn't matter at all
Yes, human greed is the strongest factor in gambling, thanks to this, the gambling industry has so much money. As soon as players come to self-discipline, their losses decrease and the excitement goes away. A popular mistake of players is to bet large amounts and after losing they try to win back and after that they lose a large amount again, The best option is to play only for the amount that you don’t mind losing and enjoy the game and be psychologically prepared for losing and treat it more simply, then there will definitely be no problems.

I think that everyone basically knows that in theory yet exactly almost everyone has big problems applying this to their gambling sessions. The reason is simple and that is that emotions cannot be controlled and emotions can lead to all type of rushed decisions which usually boils down in most cases to chasing loses and that can bring even bigger loses. That is the reason casinos continue to exist, they exist because people have emotions and as long many of them will be led by emotions this will continue to be.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 01:49:16 PM
Good day guys, how is the gambling industry helping you this period?

However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?
Many might still believe that a gamblers who's just gambling at the first day might end up winning w huge amount of money that he wasn't expecting but the truth is that as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.

Let me tell a story of why you should not risk big.It is a joke we gamblers tell to each other.Once a time was a son playing poker and tells to his dad,dad you used to play poker right?yes answer the father. What would have you done if you had 4 aces dad?I would bet my house said the dad.Good come as the house was won by someone else said the son meaning he lost the house to a royal flush. That is why it is best to only play what you can afford to lose and not risk it.

Yeah...  And there isn't any available drives from the other top teams that's more suitable for Leclerc...  Mercedes and Red Bull.  But I couldn't really see him drive for Red Bull as they usually get drivers who are rising from their ranks.  Perez was the exception because the previous two drivers partnered with Verstappen didn't really do so well in helping with getting the points for the constructors championship.

...  But Perez also really doesn't.  Lol.

Red Bull's policy is exactly like that yeah. We have an example like Alex Albon in our hand.  Smiley  However his journey didn't last much long at Red Bull. Because he wasn't good enough and making mistakes quite often. Now Perez is like he has changed his role with Albon.  Grin  Albon is doing an amazing work at Williams as you know. He was great last season.

On the other hand Perez was a disgrace... I'm still surprised about how Red Bull decided to move on with him for another year. Do you think he would be replaced mid-season this time?

As I said before that is highly unlikely,Redbull can have and favor only one driver to win the title, that driver being Verstappen and Perez serves well their purpose in order to help them achieve the title for the drivers. They also ask him to be the second driver in the standings when there is no real competition from other teams,if there is competition this requirement is not mandatory for Perez anymore. In this context I doubt he will be replaced in mid season this year.
968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Confusion About Insider Gambling on: January 30, 2024, 12:22:01 PM
Could someone please clarify the concept of insider gambling for me? I came across this term on this website, and it's a bit confusing. According to the information I found

Quote
In football, insider trading could involve a player, coach, or other official using confidential information, such as team news, injuries, or other details about the match, to place bets on the outcome of the game. This could potentially give them an unfair advantage and compromise the integrity of the game.

Aren't team news, injuries, and other match details usually openly available on the internet and through sports bookies for gamblers to use when placing bets?. Also, do these officials typically place their bets through sports bookies or among themselves?

That is right and extremely common in not important leagues like Armenian,Albanian,Azeirbaijan to name a few where although UEFA has delegates to check what is going on they sure cannot imagine that the coach or high management of a team has done some inside deal and  have agreed on a fixed result for that game. This is massive in lower quality leagues and it is subject to heavy monitoring in big leagues that is why in such leagues are less common.

I'm wondering, can there be a casino that survives thanks to advertisers and keeps the house edge at zero?

I don't think so. As you well deduced, I was thinking about expenses when I said that, but not only: all business is meant to make money. A casino where income and expenses were the same wouldn't be profitable, and I don't think that would make any sense, except for a non-profit project, very atypical in the gambling industry.

That's why 50/50 wouldn't work for most casinos.

But it could work for those making money on advertisement, no? If a big company like Coca-Cola was paying a million USD per year to a popular gambling site, I think they could survive without the house edge. They could arrange the creation of 100% RTP slots with known slot providers, the same slots only with higher RTP, and imagine how popular that site could be. I'm not saying that all people could make money there, in fact, only slightly more than usually, but 100% RTP would attract many gamblers, I'm sure.

I don't think any casino would accept such offer as they cannot offer an 100% RTP which over the long run they will be even and I am sure they make more money than 1 million dollar in a year. That is why the house edge is in place to offer like 4-5% to the casino so in a year overall this 4-5% is a sure thing that is more than 1 million dollars and that is why casinos stick to this business plan,it makes money to them and they do not care about such sponsorships.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 30, 2024, 09:02:35 AM
There was no hesitation for me to bet on Getafe winning and they did well to beat Granada last night 2-0. Getafe really needs full points in this match and they also want to immediately end the bad streak in their last 3 matches. If we look at the actual statistics, Granada completely dominated the match, but when Getafe had a chance to score, they did it right on target. As a result, we can see that Mason Greewood and Borja Mayoral were the goal scorers in this match.

I can't say anything about the goal scored by Mason Greenwood, he kicked a chip soaringly which was difficult for the opposing goalkeeper to reach and what's more, he did it while being guarded by several opposing defenders. This loan player from Manchester United is fantastic and he has paid off with his performance so far with Getafe. I think it would be quite a shame if at the end of the season he has to return to Manchester United and if there is a purchase option at the end of the season in the deal, I think Getafe will have to make him permanent.

Getafe did well to win the game last night as it can boost their moral for the difficult upcoming game against Real Madrid which they will again play at home and can be to their advantage. It surely won't be easy as a bad result from Real Madrid in this game can lead to them getting out of the title fight if they happen to not win also the next game against Girona so most likely Real Madrid is going to give it all to win this game against Getafe.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 30, 2024, 07:19:48 AM
Due to Chelsea's habit of taking big-time opponents seriously, I predict that this match will be difficult. Despite Chelsea's lacklustre season, I believe they will play well going forward, and their match against Liverpool is likely to be one of the hardest of the week because Chelsea will not allow Liverpool to defeat them; instead, they want to win or end in a draw. On the other hand, Liverpool will want to win because they need the points to maintain their position at the top of the league.
However, Chelsea is still one of the top Premier League teams, which means matches with other top Premier League teams will be fierce because the tension of the match will be different regardless of the final result, but I think the match will still be difficult for both teams.
The current situation is that both teams are highly motivated, Liverpool want to maintain their top position in the standings and Chelsea want to quickly recover from their slump, so it is clear that a fierce match will not be avoided in this match.

Quote
The first match between Chelsea and Liverpool ended in a draw, but this second meeting could see one team emerge victorious. The only issue I have with Chelsea is that I don't always trust them; they frequently make mistakes, especially with regard to their coach, who will start players who aren't supposed to. This is the main issue that Chelsea faces, but since this match is crucial for Chelsea, perhaps the coach will start players who can beat Liverpool.
Liverpool may be a slight favorite because this match will be played at their home ground and also Liverpool's performance is currently in top form, in contrast to Chelsea who have strength but they are often unable to maintain consistency in every match they play.
Both teams will definitely give their all in this match, apart from wanting full points in this match, it is also a matter of prestige for the team and coach to be able to win the match.

Liverpool is going to win this I am highly confident about it.They are leading the table as the most consistent team during this season regarding their results.Chelsea so far has had a terrible season and I very much doubt they are going to turn their luck against a team like Liverpool in Liverpool home.Everything can happen as there have been quite some time without Premier League action and teams performance may not be the same yet I don't think Liverpool is going to surprise us tonight with an unexpected result.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 29, 2024, 03:34:14 PM
I don't think age plays a role,I feel the same now that I am near 40 as I felt when I hit it big when I was 22,may be at the age of 22 I was a bit more euphoric when winning yet I feel the same happiness when I hit it big now at the age near 40.Overall though the more you grow in age the less euhporic you are but the passion remains the same so it doesn't matter regarding who enjoys the most when gambling, both enjoy the same and the only difference is the difference in character of the winner.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 29, 2024, 02:52:06 PM
If you are talking about a goal scored by hand  Grin then of course VAR will not allow this to happen now. As for the stellar surroundings, I don’t agree - for example, Pele was also full of stars around him, but over time we remember only the frontman (although it’s not a fact that without the surroundings he could have become like that). Just like everyone remembers the golden Barcelona in the form of Messi, although Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol, etc. did all the work.

I don't think if VAR really makes the games fair these days and I'm not a fan of VAR at all. Years ago as you said, Maradona scored goals by his hand none could understand while today we can easily doubt all these but even VAR makes mistakes and even VAR can't be fully trusted, also this made football robotic. I was even hoping to see the word cup without using VAR because of the fake and the robotic feeling it gives.

Of course, VAR is not 100% error elimination, but this is life - seat belts, for example, are also not a guarantee that a person will survive an accident, but nevertheless, VAR has an obvious positive effect - there are much fewer scandals. Now it seems to us that there are still a lot of scandals because every VAR mistake causes a lot of outrage and long discussions, but before there were so many of these mistakes that it was not even possible to discuss them all.
As for “roboticization,” this is inevitable, such is professional sport. When I watch table tennis competitions, the same sensations arise, VAR has nothing to do with it. In professional sports you are obliged to perform optimal actions, this kills creativity to some extent.

I agree that VAR is a great addition to the soccer as it in theory minimizes referee errors which many people defend as human errors. For me they are human errors the same people use bittorrent for legitimate purposes and file sharing, meaning very few can be defined such, all other are intentional errors. That is why it is needed for referees that clearly see the VAR and continue with their foul decision to be punished and made an example for all other referees.
974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: January 29, 2024, 02:29:20 PM

If for some reason Mourinho decides to go to the Saudi Professional League, I am quite sure that there would be a long-term plan behind any possible engagement. If the Saudis see the chance to sign him and to get him involved with their league, I think they would also try to tie him to the league and somehow to the national team long-term. But Mourinho would charge a lot of money for that. But it begs the real question whether Mourinho is done yet with Europe? Money can change his point of view, but if he wants to give it another chance I think he would rather wait for a European top club to reach out to him.

Ronaldo is an interesting case because his price tag won't really change. If they want him to stay for another season, they would have to pay him the same salary or something around 200 mil. I don't think he would play there for 50 mil a year.

There were some rumors that he is supposed to work for the SPL as an ambassador anyway.

Jose Mourinho even had offered in the last season to join the Saudi teams and work in this league because of this reputation there is still the chance for him to get many offers from these teams but rejected the offers because of his work at Roma, now when they got Mourinho fired from Roma and he is sad about it, I think Mourinho is thinking more about working the Saudi team for earning for money.

I also think the same. Many players have moved to such league and the quality of such league has increased dramatically since these players moved here.I think Mourinho would love to add to his career some Asian or African type of Champions League and signing for a good team there with talented players from Europe can give him such chance to try and win such title to add to his brilliant career so far in this context.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 29, 2024, 01:52:03 PM
Sometimes I do but just as them, I can also predict. I may not be the gambling expert that they can be compared but it's just mere predictions and everyone can do that. There is no need for someone to go ahead and go with the gambling experts just because they are. If you want to be with them, it's just all about the trust that you're going to convey on them. Otherwise, you're only going to trust yourself with your predictions and there is no need to go with them even if they're proclaimed to be experts.

Sometimes people don't have time to analyze the events they want to bet on themselves and as such they want a quick approval for their bets,in such case these experts can be a good validator, you can check their picks and see how they relate to what you would have opted in.I personally I am one of such persons which don't have time to study my bets so I go to the section of my favorite casino where I can copy other people bets,I see what people are playing there and I copy the bets which I agree with them.

^  Me too.  Cheesy  I mean really it's harder to get a good weekend getting it right in F1 than the UFC or the EPL.  At least for me.  And I'm not saying I'm any good getting it right in the UFC or the EPL...  Lol.  Cheesy
Oh trust me you can do much worse in La Liga pool, just look at my recent results  Tongue
Strange that in the same time I can do very good in other competitions like BSFL, and I hope for better results in F1.

Now...  It could either be Leclerc is confident that Ferrari could give him a competitive car or it's going to be a few entertaining seasons.  Grin
I think they offered him more money with new contract that he couldnt refuse.

Lol.

That is the only reason Perez is still there is exactly this,he is a mediocre driver that is for sure but sometimes in some specific races he become a beast by winning those couple of races giving the much needed points to earn the constructors Championship and he still ends up as the second driver in the drivers Championship. This is enough reason for Redbull to keep him until the end of 2024 when his contract expires. In this year Perez needs to do more or it is a sure thing that he is going to be replaced otherwise.

It's been a long time since I saw Union Berlin win at home and even though the match only ended with a small score of 1-0 over Darmstadt, it was still quite good considering their current performance is not as brilliant as last season. The last time Union Berlin won at home was against Koln and that time they won with a score of 2-0. But when it comes to away matches played by Union Berlin the results are always bad and end in defeat or a draw.

But overall they can still optimize their results so they don't fall into the relegation zone again and they have to keep winning if they don't want to fall in the same place as at the start of the season. Union Berlin is still not safe and they have to stay away, but unfortunately this week they will play Leipzig and their chances of winning again are very doubtful but if they can hold a draw it is better than not getting any points at all.

Their chances are high now to get away from relegation zone as they have one game less than the teams in relegation zone and are 5 points ahead. This can be considered a season savior for them as with their really poor performance of the season relegation would not be distant.Nothing is finished however as there are still many weeks to play and Union Berlin needs to do their best and score more points than the teams in relegation zone as the only solution to escape relegation zone.

Everyone has in mind not to expect anything from Beşiktaş this year. I think this would be the best thing, the team needs to restructure from now on.
The only thing they can do now is to be as high up in the league as possible. So that's how I think.
Beşiktaş is having terrible season for sure. Its unbelievable their key players are the ones that are the worst. Noone would expect such results from a squad like that. On paper Beşiktaş has strong squad. They should have been following Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray at top, maybe with maximum 5-6 points difference. But currently Beşiktaş loses against much weaker teams. Its been dream team for a gambler for so long but restructuring will take a lot of time.

I also think the same,Besiktas has screwed it up big time this year,I saw this in the early stages of the Superlig where they were also playing in Europa Conference League and they failed against Bodo Glimt, not a good sign.Since then their performance has deteriorated drastically and I also think the responsibles this time are the players themselves as the management has satisfied the requirements of the manager by bringing these players. No excuses now when the conditions are met.

Well finally this shit month without so much Premier League is ending, what a trash to follow, those mixing FA games with some PL games widespread.

Also a troublemaker for Fantasy. And we are nearby to receive again the players who goes to AFC and Asian cup.

Finally tomorrow everything resumes again and there is no better feeling not only for football fans but also for gamblers as the Premier League based on statistics is the league where the majority of bets is held,I assume such fact by watching the bets that I copy from other people and the Premier League games are a huge chunk of those bets. Also for the pool it is great we are resuming as these are the final stages in the sense that only 16 weeks are left to play and the pool is wide open for prize spots positions.
