Right now there are many ICOs coming out, is it really safe to participate in any of it and spend that much? In participating ICOs I have high hopes that these coins could be the next Bitcoin or other currencies that are really going up in the market.
The majority of the tokens right now are passing through an initial coin offering or ICO so the promising ones, the one you might think of following the footsteps of bitcoin, must be one of these. It is hard to tell which one it is though. It is generally safe to invest in ICOs but in the end it all depends on the person investing. If enough research is done, then you will end up hitting the good one. |

By the way they name their coin I would already say it is some absurd idea. I won't dare support such offensive project. I would recommend ARToken for October. It is a 3D industry project. 3D is the future in terms of visual effects. Aside from ARToken, I am also looking at VALUS and GUTS. Both great projects that might be sold out in their ICOs. |

There are so many fears and rumors around ICO. I think that ICO format is very convenient for projects as well as for investors. There are too many scam ICOs and I understand what is the point of the governments fear. But I wonder what do you think about ICO in 2018+. Will it survive?
With all the issues that are hounding the ICOs, I still think that ICOs will still last past 2018. While there are scams, the majority are still legit projects and ICOs of these projects are either sold out or almost sold out. Investors know how to tell a scam ICO from a legit one. After all, it is their duty to look at closer at ICOs currently offering tokens. |

I agree. Ethereum is good for long term holding. ICOs are now becoming a very good way for projects to start offering their coins in the market. And investors are looking at it with optimism since the bonuses are high. ETH smart contracts is also getting bigger and bigger. |

Did you read their first white paper ? It was hilarious, written by a 11 year old  But well, low supply, nice name, could be fun !! LOL! This 11-year old project might end up big like 100x in 100 years. Anyway, kidding aside, this Ethereum Dark is gaining followers not because of the project itself and the coin but because they are giving away airdrops. Free coins are always spreading out like bad news. Everyone wants free coins. |

The top reminder for beginners before investing in any coin is to first read not just about the coin but the project itself to which the coin belongs. There is really a need to monitor the movement of the project not just the coin's price or value. The project will, after all, be the one that will determine the value of the coin because it is where investors base their decisions.

The trend my friend is that there is a happy growth in altcoin and bitcoin during December and in the transition period in general. Crypto will probably fly late part of the previous year and then early part of the following year. I think the aura during holiday season is essentially good. And then money is flowing so I think investment will also rise. That's the season of cheers and congratulations for me. |

Etherium is a better coin since it also has the smart contract feature. There is nothing that you can do with bitcoin but you cant with etherium. So why not all people sell their bitcoin and buy etherium.
If you base your argument on smart contract feature alone and are already a fan of Ethereum then probably the coin will always be heavier than bitcoin for you. But I am basing on the entire existence of the two coins, their features and acceptability, and bitcoin is number one for me. |

take a look at deeponion and you wont be looking for any other coins. this one gonna be a top coin very soon. now at round 11 of 40 so many coins to still collect.
It's not worth it, they also have a set snapshot date so they can do another airdrop too so the price should go lower sometime soon. There was a point when the price of Deep Onion rose to its all time high. That was a time when the airdrop began I guess. But right now, the value has gone down significantly, lower than a dollar per Onion. That is something bad. Trying to get to the POSToken airdrop instead. |

What would be your target price of Ethereum for 2022?
I think Etherium will certainly be a four-dollar figure in price by 2022. That would be too far from now. By that time, I guess ETH will already be somewhere $3,000 to $5,000. But I only hope that this year we will see ETH price breaking $1,000. |

I currently have 16 coins (low amt) and looking to invest $1k into my portfolio. I'm a long-term investor.
My question - what are your thoughts on spreading across 5 coins: LSK, NEO, STRAT, QTUM, OMG, or topping off XRP?
I don't own any of the 5 coins, however I do own a small amt of XRP.

You have good choices of coins for your $1,000 investment plan on altcoins. If you are planning to invest on 5 altcoins all in all, I would replace NEO with Ripple (XRP). NEO is china-connected and the market is generally dependent on china. Ripple is much better for me. |

It is more like a share. The bounty campaigns here have to have bases as to how they would assign bounty tokens to campaign participants. So the better way to do it is to create stakes that would vary according to your bitcointalk account rank. Some others, although very seldom, stakes are given per post. |

Based on what it has been seen among the wide array of altcoins such as development, innovation, and security issues, what altcoins might survive in the future? In my opinion, I think that the only ones prone to survive would be good old altcoins such as Litecoin and Dogecoin, but I may be wrong. Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion about this as well as any altcoin that might be worth holding onto for the long term. There will be more than just two altcoins that will for sure survive in the future. Litecoin and Dogecoin might be two of them. I am not even sure for Doge. LTC is widely used especially in ICOs. In addition to these two, ETH and waves will for sure thrive in the future. |

Waves has been pretty much stable as of late. Goes no higher than 130/160k sat, falls no lower than 90k sat. No harm in accumulating till moon phase My share of waves are also intact in my wallet. Waiting with you till moon phase. Stability is the key. They survived holding on to 90K satoshis and not bad at all. Waves will become aggressive in the months to come. $10 per wave here we come. |

Centra is going down. I think the ICO investors are automatically given their share of centra tokens. And most of them dumped the tokens immediately to exchanges which centra is already traded. Perhaps in the months to come when the project is in its proper stage, we will see its performance. |
