961  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Kaya Pa Bang Kumita Ng Maganda Sa Pinas? on: April 13, 2017, 05:32:50 PM

962  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: April 13, 2017, 05:25:40 PM
Yes. Bitcoin will cann't be able to replace fiat.

Because bitcoin is 'something' that is anonymous. different from fiat.
Yes agree with you mate, this two currency is different, bitcoin is digital currency and can be used in online transaction and not government regulated while fiat is centralized currency which all people can used this currency anywhere we want.

True, but there's a possibility that a online currency replace fiat, like what happens to books. Online or e-books already replace hard copy books, but they did not fully replace books but as you can see they have more demand than the traditional or usually used hard copy books, so its the same as bitcoin and fiat, it is only possible because
sometimes people intend to change and go over their off limits just to see and discover new things.
963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will you start accepting Bitcoin in your store and boost your sales? on: April 13, 2017, 04:57:31 PM
When will you start accepting Bitcoin in your store?

If you are entrepreneur, a business owner or you just have an online shope, chances are you can increase your sales by 15% while increasing your security,
if you start accepting Bitcoin and other digital currencies as a form of payment. There are many ways to do this, depending on your country of residence.

You can use either BitPay, CoinPayments, Coinify or BLOCKPAY among others.

Which one do you prefer, and why?

Actually it only works for a country that has currency converter like in our country, we have a online wallet that exchanges bitcoin into fiat, the problem with the country that has no currency converter thing is that they will have a big problem when they reach a high demand, of course in business high demand means high supply, so basically how can they have the fund to have that supply if it takes time to sell their bitcoins, the business will eventually falls after having a lack of supply and time utility. If a person did this they will carry some risk because as the bitcoin price falls the price of the business remains so it wil be harder for a business man or entrepenuer to obtain the same product price while bitcoin price changes all the time.
964  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: April 12, 2017, 06:06:21 PM
Maybe not to get rich, but sure as hell to earn a decent amount of money with bitcoins.

How much money did you earn with bitcoins? Or did you lose some?

I just tried gambling and trading after earning some bitcoin in signature campaign, I lose money from both so I didn't hesitate no more to stop it. Now I am just saving for study purposes and to support my music career. All thanks to this forum I can do what I want now.
965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: April 12, 2017, 06:02:05 PM
Does it make sense to believe that Bitcoin could one day be replaced by another cryptocurrency, that is, a cryptocurrency that really does make Bitcoin obsolete?

There is always some changes but it is very unrealistic if we talk about future. Bitcoin is a good coin and there is no coin that has a great features as bitcoin, however if another coin do really overcome bitcoin then the users will be cut in half because people thinks the new one is better but unsure of it cause lot of bitcoin users will stick to what they're used to, so it means that the coin doesn't really overcome bitcoin but it is just been a substitute instead.
966  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: April 12, 2017, 03:35:55 PM
Recently, I've been trading bitcoins on btc-e, earning only a little, yes, very little, except the fees that btc-e takes.

Besides trading, are there any good method to earn bitcoins?   Thanks.

Be a freelancer is one of the good choice to earn bitcoins, join signature campaign or bounties is my only way of earning because gambling is way too risky to try, and for me signature campaign is the best cause I earn while learning or I explore to earn.
967  Economy / Economics / Re: At what exchange rate would you call Bitcoin dead? on: April 10, 2017, 03:44:52 AM
Do you have a special exchange rate in your head where you would totally dump all your coins because you think Bitcoin is dead? What is your magic number?

$0 I don't have a lot of bitcoin in my wallet though, $0 cause I think it still has the probability to go in higher price after falling over $1000, even if it doesn't guarantee any it is worth the risk, after falling then buying means big profit its a law of investment.
968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would happen if BTC was Banned? on: April 10, 2017, 02:41:34 AM
What do you guys think it would happen if all the governments in the world declared bitcoin to be illegal?
How do you think the community would react? What could be the possible solutions?

If it happens then bitcoin will unofficially die, the moment it becomes illegal to all country is the moment that bitcoin users finally give up, many people is using bitcoin for investment purposes so the demand will dramatically fall after being banned worldwide. Everything will become harder and harder so users will start to fall and eventually forget about using bitcoin, the risk is too high for investment and its not worth going to jail. However the solutions to this problem is to have another method of transaction and anonymously used by users, even though it didn't solve the main solutions but it somehow weaken the damage that has been made by governments doing so, the only solutions that I can think of is the government to unbanned bitcoin.
969  Economy / Economics / Re: If bitcoin price is $10.000, will fiat be worthless? on: April 05, 2017, 03:38:44 PM
The problem with price being the major attractor to people is that they will invest in bitcoin just to speculate with the price instead of believing in the technology and that will open way for another bubble to form, we can benefit of that in the short term but like every other bubble it will eventually burst and that will be bad for us in the long term.
Price is a magnet for people to research and eventually invest in bitcoin - we cannot deny that. It was and always will be like that.
I was the same, I came to BTC looking for fast buck and extra money, but in the meanwhile I learned enough about BTC that I am here to stay.
Volatility, bubbles, speculations - they will be part of bitcoin for a very long time; don't try to fight the trend, embrace it.
I wont but the problem with those people that only come to bitcoin for the price is they will switch immediately to any other coin that promises them the possibility of earning bigger amounts of money in the shortest time frame possible, they are not in bitcoin in the long term.

I fully agree but I don't think there will be another coin that can surpass bitcoin, even if there is the users/investors will be cut in half, so there is a high risk, there is no guarantee that it will raise its own price like bitcoin did, so still bitcoin will still be alive even if another coin with better features than bitcoin has been introduced.

In one of the topics I read "If bitcoin will reach $10.000, fiat currency has become worthless"
Do you agree with this statement?

There is low posibility but it might happen, I do not think that if the bitcoin reaches that price fiat will become worthless, the main reason is the transaction takes time, so there is no posibility that fiat will become worthless if the transaction of bitcoin is still the same as now, but if the transaction takes only a second the it highen the chances that fiat might become worthless.
970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: April 05, 2017, 04:01:54 AM

What do you like best about bitcoin?
Decentralization, transparency or easier to move?
Or just it makes you look cool? Wink

First of all bitcoin wont make someone looks cool.  Tongue The transportion of money to one and another without any hussle is the best thing about bitcoin for me, but one of the reason why I like bitcoin is simply because of its unstable price, it is a good investment, just keeping bitcoin might make someone a millionaire, by the way I multiply my bitcoin by buying when the price is low and selling when the price is high, it is easy for us to buy and sell bitcoin in our country because of the wallet we use, all you need is to convert your bitcoin into standard currency then you're good to go.
971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: April 04, 2017, 11:44:00 PM
I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

I keep mine in an online wallet, I am not completely sure if it safe but they do exchange bitcoin into fiat so its okay of having it then, I won't be having a lot of bitcoin in there cause there is a change of my account being vanish, in my current situation I just earn bitcoin from some trading and some bounty then cash some out if its going higher than my ideal bitcoin amount. But if I'm going to hold bitcoin for a long time, brain wallets is my first in option cause it has the highest security if you use it right but somehow dangerous if you are not to be careful, just save your brain wallet information or write it down (if you prefer that way) then make sure its in a safe place and no one can have that even your family, just to ensure that it won't get loss, it has a high security but don't you dare make mistakes in brain wallets simple mistakes means disaster.
972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs altcoins because ... on: April 04, 2017, 11:13:24 PM
Bitcoin needs altcoins to be in use, people need altcoins to make bitcoins, but some alts are good hadge for bitcoin whan btc price is going down
well, maybe it was also included into the use of bitcoin in trading. Well, in order to increase the popularity bitcoin, altcoin is needed, especially in this new kind altcoin spending. sometimes, bitcoin prices rise, because of the altcoin that are popular, because although the popularity altcoin was very high, still they have relied on price bitcoin.

I think it is also the truth that you would need bitcoin to buy an altcoin. So it is kind of connected. Whenever a new investor is introduced to a new altcoin there is a time that he or she will be facing bitcoin also. So it kind of helps with the advertisement although their main priority is their own coin first.
Also, whenever you go to a trading website the main currency to be used is bitcoin to where alts are valued. I think when the alt get popular that is when they where priced in USD.

They are being priced by USD, I have tried website trading they're using bitcoin as main currency indeed, but there are some that already have a USD price and you can trade altcoins using USD and I think you're right at the last part cause they have higher volume than others so I assume that the aviability of trading using USD is the reason behind it, for me I think bitcoin is part of altcoin too they just don't call it altcoin here cause obviously we are at a bitcoin forum its part of altcoin cause its cryptocurrency too but bitcoin is the highest among them, bitcoin is the same as any altcoins its just has the highest demand and has the majority among altcoins because of its features.
973  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: April 04, 2017, 06:22:03 PM
I think Bitcoin will Dead BTC

If every country Government Banned Local Exchanges from Accepting Deposits.
Then, there will be no more people using Bitcoin because they might be arrested in this condition.

If there are a new cryptocurrency which is more profitable, and Government Approved Legally In the future.
I agree with your first statement but I don't like it to happen, the online users will protest and make a petition. On your second thought, its impossible because how can we trust a new coin if it is not yet well establish unlike bitcoin that already running for a long years even bitcoin is not approve by the government legally, they can't easily destroy it.
There is no doubt about the probability that bitcoin might die even the chances is too low, as of now there is so many cryptocurrencies that might be a substitude for bitcoin. But bitcoin has already does things first and because of that its demand dramatically increases, right now there is low chance that bitcoin can die, it is a perfect cryptocurrency and there no way that another cryptocurrency that surpass what bitcoin already have now.

977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you consider trading as gambling? on: March 27, 2017, 10:10:43 AM
Hey people,

I've always been a huge gambler. I like creating useless schemes (as we all know bank always win ^^) and betting whole nights long in order to find THE right way of betting.
But I need change, I can't bet over and over on the same game cause after I see that nothing can be done to change the odds, I'm bored.

So I thought a bit about trading and I started not so long ago. and it feels a bit like a betting game without knowing the odds and with an infinity of parameters!

Does anyone else takes trading as a gambling game? Smiley

Yeah it totally have some risk same as gambling, but as you can see trading is safer than gambling because you can't lose all your money through trading you might lose some but it won't be that much unless you just buy anything that comes up to your mind, and in trading there is some strategies that is applicable while in gambling your luck is your only chance. But if have some control in yourself then you can gain lots of profit through gambling.
978  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: March 27, 2017, 10:01:31 AM
Share with us what's your main reason for buying bitcoins?

I only buy bitcoins when the price is low for investment purpose of course, I don't know other reason for buying it exept investment and sometimes for gambling, maybe for some people who buy bitcoin for black market, buying bitcoin fits them too.
979  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Wallet available in the philippines on: March 27, 2017, 09:36:49 AM
I already have around 9k, they haven't deactivated my account yet.

I know if your bitcoin comes from gambling sites, they deactivate your account even if it only have hundreds in your account. Other than that, I never heard accounts getting deactivated without reasons.

Back on topic. As far as I know, only coins.ph have those features.

I think that can't be true because when I send money to a gambling website I write a description of gambling purposes but coins.ph never deactivated my account, I guess before they permanently recognize your wallet you should do an ID verification, many wallet users don't verify their account, maybe that is the reason why some wallets are getting deactivated.
980  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: March 26, 2017, 05:45:01 PM
Ask ko lang, lot of bitcoin users now is talking about BTU (Bitcoin Unlimited) vs BTC (Bitcoin Core) so here's the question :

Pag nag split po ba ang BTC tulad ng sinasabi nila makokopya din po ba yung amount ng BTC sa BTU dito sa coins.ph?

Kasi ang pagkakaalam ko di kasama sa mga ma iisplit yung mga web wallets yung coins.ph parang web wallet din, kaya medyo nagaalangan ako kung yung sinasabi nga nila ay magkatotoo then yung BTC hindi macocopy yung amount sa BTU kung yung wallet mo ay coins.ph.
