GPU mining doesn't seem to work, all my blocks end up rejected. Anyone else tried it yet? I left out -Nfmin -Nfmax and -StartT because I don't know what they stand for or how to find out and could never find an explanation! Also, whilst googling for an answer, I found a post somewhere saying Onecoin uses different mix and hash functions than YAC and other scrypt-janes so possibly this is why it isn't working? Assuming the standard scrypt-jane GPU miner needs to be tweaked specifically for Onecoin, as a dozen blocks all ending up as rejects in a hour doesn't seem right.
NFactor 11, kynda obvious GPU wont work. Can still mine GPU mine YAC just fine with N factor 14, play around with settings enough and all scrypt-jane coins yet released are still GPU mineable. Profitably mine @ Nfactor+ 10? nah hard to believe |

Yeah was a very fair release with a very good dev. However the decimal places proved to be an issue.
The One Coin is a very nice concept though and most people would like a bit for their crypto portfolio. I didn't know you could still mine it.
I asked the dev why it need to have 18 decimal places, since 42 does not. However it seems 42 will need to have 18 in the future.
i could modify the code to fix that, remove tx fees. and make it rounder but who will support it? |

This coin was always fun because it forced people to deal with metric prefixes. The coin's settings let you change which metric prefix you use -- very useful. I just synced up and took a look at the blockchain. There are 162846 blocks mined, each with at most .50 μONC (micro-ONC) rewarded. (Early blocks ramped up slowly and had less). So the total mined cannot be more than (162846) * (.50) (μONC) = 81423 μONC = .081423 ONC. So, if my math is right, you seek to buy roughly 1/81 of all ONC mined for .01 BTC. It would be a hoot if this coin made a comeback. It was certainly more innovative that its contemporaries. lol, very aware of the metrics. i mined it right from the start. trying to buy up as much as i can before pushing it to market. |

I made a withdrawal via wire transfer and i am yet to receive my funds. I opened a ticket 3 days ago and you are yet to even respond. It's disappointing that every withdrawal i make needs me to open a ticket just to get my money.

Paying people pennies via twitter is interesting, but you at minimum need online wallet. That idea is 100% no-go if someone has to download the client, etc.
They could use a online wallet. Perhaps Facebook or who ever could host the wallet, under condition that a percentage of the transaction would go toward the company . Online wallets are difficult securitywise. To do it properly you almost need physical access to the machine to insure security. However, we are speaking of CENTS here and not BTC/CC #s.... so not quite the same needs.. and not worth a target until CENTS take off. I really do wish you luck and do not want to be Debbie Downer but I still see the same problem. Why would a developer use CENTS when they can use a crypto-currency that has some value? They can do the same work and get one of 100s of altcoins that they can then sell for money. Which one do you need first, chicken or egg? That kinda thing. edit - I like your endgame approach, but you really need to develop a set of tools to facilitate some of this stuff. Provide consulting for people with games out there. Again though, the people who want to monetize it are going to look at other currencies. You really need the guys who profited from the bug step up and give some of their CENTS to create initial incentives for adoption. That, or you find a way to create a toolset to plug into social media. Again, how do you fund it ? Cant' even sell CENTS.  it's cheap to buy up the pennies,and each penny is worth a single credit. So a game,or a advertisement company could purchase 1 trillion pennies very cheaply. Pennies are cheap enough that minecraft server operators can purchase alot,and run a decent economy. pennies are cheap enough for gamers to afford as well. up yours you worthless piece of doge. all these stupid ideas you are spouting have been tried with coins that have greater stability and failed. instead of relieving yourself via your fathomless mouth, read how all ideas will fall on their ass and you will eventually abandon this pointless quest. The idea is dead due to implementation no fixing that. You must be hellishly retarded if you think anyone is going to take a coin with NO BUY ORDERS seriously. |
