962  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Recovering coins from Hive on Android on: April 27, 2016, 06:33:47 AM
Hi, thanks for the advice. Can you tell me which wallets support the BIP39 standard?
i beleive remember breadwallet should did it , if i'm not wrong.. ( for ios)

I've been trying to get my private keys from my hivewallet to... In the end, i was trying https://dcpos.github.io/bip39/
Eventough this one should do the trick, i didn't succeed in getting my PK's Sad... For me this wasn't a real problem, i just a couple of satoshi's i got from trying out faucets when i was first trying out BTC, but in your case, 0.1BTC is well worth giving every option a shot.

Disclaimer: it might not be a good idear to use the web version of this tool (i used the web version because it was a very little ammount of coins), in your case, it might be a better idear to download the tool from github and run it locally?

BTW: if you get it to work, do you mind sharing how you did it?
you're indeed right . NEVER use these kind of tools online ! alway dowload them, and then run it offline.

also, have a look here too: https://doc.satoshilabs.com/trezor-tech/cryptography.html

kind regards

Seems to be quite a few hacks on bitcoin wallets the last few days, I wonder if its just coincidence that we are hearing about it at the same time or if its being orchestrated by the same person? Either way its very unfortunate to lose so much money to some scum bag.
yeah... i saw a guy with 10k $ lost ... just on today...

978  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: April 23, 2016, 02:12:08 PM
How can I login my generated Address?
You can use your generated address by using the Private key generated by vanity gen. Open a wallet like electrum or bitcoin core, enter your Private key into it and your address would get imported ! Now you can use this wallet to send and receive bitcoins to this vanity address.
  that's not the asked question.

How can I login my generated Address?
what do you mean by "login" ?  you mean watching or loading .. ?   Roll Eyes
I forgot my private key Sad can I generate again?
no. really impossible to get a coliision ( soooo improbable)
