2061  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 20, 2013, 10:21:08 AM
Interesting thought.  Could you point out the MPP clause in the ToS you accepted when purchasing?

What's your point?

You can go read the MPP yourself if you are confused about it.

The MPP only guarantees more hashing power (with a cap) it doesn't guarantee an positive ROI.  Guaranteeing a positive ROI would require the MPP to offer unlimited additional hashrate and it clearly indicates it is capped at 400%.  I am not happy about it but a judge (if you want to waste your money and potentially see the inside of the court room in 3-6 months) is going to take a neutral aproach to the reading.  Just because someone "could" be confused isn't the standard of proof.  HashFast could probably have been more "creative" with the language and still win in court.

+10 ho yes !! Wink

His pride and joy is completely deserved. He stole millions of dollars promising a delivery date he knew he couldn't met and now he is gonna mine with their customer's hardware.
I Agree.

completly agree ! Wink

CEO: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/eduardo-decastro/0/a/852

Not trying to troll, but it'd be more re-assuring to see some kind of a history on the CEO. What credentials does he have? Simon's got one:
http://www.linkedin.com/in/simonresume?trk=pub-pbmap

I guess both Simon & Eduardo founded Devicescape - http://devicescape.com/
Don't have much else. Seems like these guys are entrepreneurs, and good at that, but who are the ASIC engineers of the operation? Seems like Simon has an engineering background, but I don't see too much ASIC experience.

Simon's linked in says "I have experience working with hardware design, ASIC, FPGAs and microcontrollers. Building crypto accelerators, video accelerators and interfacing with the 'real world'." Elaborate?

Also, he says "hired team of world class ASIC front end designers". Who are these World Class ASIC front end designers? Let us know please.

realley , really good question .... yes , let us know please.

I wish people would read and fully understand a programs benefits before they whine and complain about a company running behind schedule because they choose not to release a sub-par product that would have just caused problems down the line, and that would have led to people just complaining about that.

Who's complaining about the mpp? Problem is there still isn't a product. Forget about the substrate, they just got the wafer for fucks sake. They straight out lied about shipping date.

i totally agree.  Cry
2067  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 08, 2013, 07:57:36 AM
Aside from the terrible use of English and bad formatting of the update, the key area is of course the substrate information.

"We’ve made key improvements to the design that can be incorporated even into those substrates that are already in manufacturing"

You have substrate in manufacturing and now realise you have an issue with it? Regardless you think you can modify those substrates with the 'improved' design.

"Even so, the latest delivery estimates for the modified, improved substrate design are three weeks from today. This means that we would be shipping our first rigs mid-December."

And you didn't know this 2 days ago when I emailed asking for a shipping update. You didn't know this 2 weeks ago when you were 'on schedule' for October shipping.

Most importantly you didn't know this 4 weeks ago when I placed a large order. But wait, what is this I see in your email?

"So for the last several weeks, we've been engaged with an additional team to work on an additional substrate"

Ahhh you did know! But knowingly lied to me about it.

So what it boils down to is this:

"Essentially, we now have two teams racing to produce the best and fastest substrate. As soon as that is done, we'll marry the substrates to the finished wafer and begin assembly of the rigs."

Where have I heard this before... that's right... 2 weeks ago.

In reality... you still have NO CONFIRMED SOLUTION and are allegedly working with two teams to try and save your ass and ship something before the end of December.

So the fact remains, you DO NOT have a working substrate and CAN NOT advise when you will thus have NO IDEA when you will ship.

But hey, at least you are building the best quality machine... that will be one hell of a paper weight by January.

I don't think this is correct. When I visited HF last week John specifically mentioned that refunds would be done in the currency it was paid in at the amount paid in at the time of the order. So if you paid 50 BTC you will get back 50 BTC.

Another topic was the possibility of refunds and John was pretty specific that if refunds do happen they will be full refunds in the currency the order was paid in (BTC in BTC, USD in USD).
LOL and you believe they will act as it was anounced just verbally to a third person? so if yes start to try it and the others will follow immediately.

I was there in a room with John, Amy and Erin. So yes, I do hope their word is worth something. Call me naive Smiley

ok ... éyou was in a room with them..." ............ LOL... and can you please give us more informations?  ; Huh Roll Eyes   hum...
2069  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 07, 2013, 05:37:53 PM
personally at this point im hoping there are major delays and i can just get a refund of my exact amount of coins. Its clear at this point the correct move would have been knc and as much as I dislike BFL, BFL may end up shipping before hashfast.

There are a lot of people kicking themselves for not going for a KnC product, myself included.

+1 i'm one of them too ...  Undecided

i think i choose the bad horse with Hashfast  Cry

Aren't I missing a button here?  Where's the "Start mining" button?  Shouldn't there be a "switch clocks" button to start?

I finally got it connected to two pools, and the "Uptime" counter has begun, so I think it's working.... How do I get it to mine?

hello, i can propose you a remote support to help you having your blade hashing correctly.
PM me if interested...

best regards.

2073  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 05, 2013, 06:19:32 PM
So why they're making you the announcer/go to guy now tacotime?

They used to post here like daily and now they basically all disappeared. All of em.

Shitty situation. Updates needed but they're hiding behind a guy - whom they take ages to email back to.

Yeah. Up until about the 18th, all the Hashfast people would post here. Now nothing..

Where are my 12 Baby Jets?..

I expressed to them when ordering that I was coming from 1.2 year wait at BFL. They kept telling me they're nothing like BFL, they're on schedule, blah blah. They seem more like BFL every day. With the Hashfast Baby Jet drawing, going silent, posting for ad space but not here, and generally their change of tone. They all seemed like good people on the phone, now they just refer me to the fine print TOS.

That's cool and all but whatever happened to them wanting their customers to succeed?

+1 !   i really dont understand Hashfast silence...  where  are my Babyjets too ??!
2074  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Organizing a group buy for 50+ BFL 600 GH/s Monarch ASIC cards on: August 26, 2013, 06:35:08 PM
Interesting to read all the hate Smiley

I preordered 4 Monarchs in first hour of sale time upgrading my 6 Singles from Sept 15th 2012.

With ASICS as with any investment, you shouuld only invest what you can afford to loose or you will stress out, that said, everyone always got a full refund from them which is not too bad for investment going bad lol

Also, everyone I know who did 1st day preorders with BFL got their equipment and mined at least 600% return on their initial cost which is nothing to complain about dispite them loosing the race due to production mistakes.

If anything, this whole bfl adventure has taught me that you gotta be there day 1-5 or max first week of preorders or you can forget about ROI.

Your group buy is too late now so forget about it.
Look at how many ppl already upgraded their Minirigs and Singles orders. You are now going to be months behind in the queue while something like 10-20TH are ordered on 17 and about same 18th, also you gotta consider that most people are waiting for banks to open to make wire payment or scooping up btc now. I think the market move in BTC this weekend is due to ppl buying up BTC to pay for their orders as banks are closed on the weekend.
My point is if you didnt buy it form them already then forget it  Smiley

2077  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are you mining for fun or profit? on: June 29, 2013, 06:34:04 AM
I plan to mine for fun and learning if I can manage to get through all the hoops necessary to get some mining hardware!

I don't think I'll be able to make any real profit, at least for quite a while.

My first goal is to get a USB block erupter - probably not going to make any money off it but I'm sure I'll learn a lot along the way.

Do you have any good contacts for cheap bulk erupters?

you can have one here: https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=store

best regards
