I whitelisted SupItsJTTV a month ago, and 3 days ago he got banned: He made one post, which I don't think should be the reason for his ban. Any chance this was a mistake because of the mega.nz link in his post?
Resolved. SupItsJTTV is unbanned and his post has been restored.

I am not sure many laptop allows for an easy HDD removal, even more without breaking warrant (Mac User anyone?). Suggestion: add it to your opsec-checklist to only buy laptops that allows to easily take out the drive.

I have been downloading Bitcoin Core for five weeks and made 69% progress. First, I have to say this is terrible performance. The computer is all frozen/unresponsive and won't let me open anything up. If you can't open for instance your task manager anymore, that's a Windows problem, not a Bitcoin Core problem. I would have hit the reset button much faster than waiting for 4 days, but that's probably why I don't use Windows. My advice would be to start over, but not before upgrading your hardware. To compare performance: on my old Linux laptop with slow CPU but 16 GB RAM and Bitcoin Core's chainstate directory on SSD (with the blocks directory on HDD), I can sync the full blockchain from scratch in just over 24 hours. If you insist on running Bitcoin Core, and if your computer can handle it, I suggest to add at least 8 GB of RAM, and a solid state drive. With your current hardware you're probably better off running a less demanding wallet (such as Electrum). Unless you have a specific reason to use Bitcoin Core.

That's simply because freebitco.in has a great reputation on the forum and you do not. They have great marketing on the forum, which isn't the same as having a great reputation. I don't trust them one bit, and this is why: I've often wondered if they're legit, based on the average cost per faucet claim: 1 number pays $200 2 numbers pay $20 4 numbers pay $2 8 numbers pay $0.20 100 numbers pay $0.02 9886 numbers pay $0.002 I've always wanted to know if they really pay $271.37 on average for 10000 rolls. And if so, why don't they just pay $0.027 for each roll? They'd have the highest paying faucet, while it would cost them the same amount in total. Because they choose not to pay the average amount for each roll, but made it a jackpot system, cheating would be possible and largely go unnoticed. Especially if they only cheat once every few thousand rolls. Based on the odds, I would expect one $200 winner for every 2 $20 winners. I did a (manual) count on pages 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, and 50 on Big wins at FreeBitco.in: I just won $20 at FreeBitco.in! 116 times I just won $200 at FreeBitco.in! 2 times I probably miscounted a bit, but let's round it down: winning $200 is 50 times less likely than winning $20, and that makes the difference 25 12.5 times larger than it should be. And this: I was playing in Freebitco.in during ~3 years. These are my achivements on the sceenshot below. Free rolls played = 10467. The biggest numbers I rolled are: 9993 - 1 time 9992 - 2 times 9990 - 1 time 9989 - 2 times
and never bigger than 9993. And especially his: Interesting. It would be interesting to hear statement from wetsuit or TheQuin. I find it interesting that for years they haven't responded here. To this day all accusations of scamming freebitco.in have turned out to be false, from cheaters. There's no hard evidence because they created their system so that you don't have any evidence: Most of them are fine, but 2 times happened that, after the roll, server seed hash was REPLACED with a new one, while nonce and client seed where still the same. This completely break their fairness, since replacing the server seed hash means that they are replacing the server seed and therefore they are changing our rolled number. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

I have reported ArcusIsidar thread ~ ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FJaCt1up.jpg&t=663&c=LdmQDjyRYXktdQ) Your account didn't exist yet on October 31. Who made those reports? OP was banned for repeatedly moving his thread into the currency section when it doesn't belong there. Who is "OP" in this? Is it lovira who created this thread or his main account? Or was ArcusIsidar reporting his own thread or something just to make a point against nutildah? I'm confused ![](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/afro.gif) Here I am clearly trying to perform a good deed for no other reason than not wanting to see people not get scammed. FTFY (option 1) Here I am clearly trying to perform a good deed for no other reason than not wanting to see people not get scammed. FTFY (option 2) If this is the topic in question then what is wrong for it to be in reputation section? Isn't the proper way to use forum features to Flag all accounts, so they get a warning on top of their own topics? Those are more likely to be seen by visitors than a warning topic.

Most of the times, all I can see "Scam accusation" is full of X airdrop scam, X coin fake airdrop scam, X coin phishing scam. What is wrong with warning people about a certain airdrop or phishing scam? Unless the scam is being promoted on Bitcointalk, I think it's pointless to warn people here against random site X. People who visit the scam site through external links won't see the warning, and people who see the warning weren't going to visit the site in the first place. There are thousands if not millions of scams outside Bitcointalk, and only 36 topics on the first page of Scam Accusations. Let's make those 36 count! Even guest users who have never registered in the forum can see the warnings if they tried to use the search engines. Maybe I have lower expectations from people who fall for obvious scams. I always assume the obvious victims are blinded by greed and lose all common sense. I just assume "bounties" are spamming scammers and stay away from them. Rhetorical: Should we be creating topics for search engines, instead of for people?

You are sharing EVERY byte exchanged between your site and your client in an UNENCRYPTED form with a US based company... Let's hear what Bitcointalk Admin theymos has to say about Cloudflare: Cloudflare is very probably an NSA honeypot
From your site: MAXIMUM 34.2433 BTC AVAILABLE Any chance you can sign a message to prove ownership of a substantial part of this amount of Bitcoin? I get it if you don't want to post it in public, but if you send it to me in private, I'll vouch for the amount without publishing your address. If you PM me it passes through Cloudflare, if you email me from Protonmail it should be encrypted: My email: LoyceVswitzerland@protonmail.com I've seen many new mixers that claim to own large amounts of Bitcoin, but usually without providing proof of funds. If you decide to take me up on this, please sign something like this: Hi Loyce, today is November 6, 2021, and I'm signing this message to prove that nummix.io owns xx Bitcoin

Account dynamics:![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ibb.co%2FBgbm4bS%2FOpera-2021-10-24-212335-tradeprofile-net.png&t=663&c=dA51V7VAdgzizQ) This looks very much like Martingale, and reminds me of "HCP's ongoing experiment of the BotHIVE.io Trading Platform"™. It goes well until it doesn't: Looks like it's more of an "ABCD" correction pattern this time around ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F25dYWBe.png&t=663&c=KhkfeVknML8Riw) It still looks like classic martingale. I'd love to be convinced I'm wrong though, as obviously I know nothing about trading.

Computer system? Do you mean OS? If so i'm on Win10 Maybe this helps: Bitcoin Core Data directory (after you made another backup of your wallet.dat). (I don't use Windows myself)Update: Is it possible your external drive just got another drive letter?

can publish some list like "Public keys with balance". As far as I know the public key is only known after a transaction was made from that address (or when a message was signed), and I haven't found this data in a format that I can easily scrape. It certainly won't be a very complete list.
|
|
|
What you should do is back up your wallet.dat to a secure location before you do anything. ^^ Start with this ^^ Both Bitcoincore, wallet.dat and block chain are on a external driver It sounds like your Bitcoin Core configuration somehow lost where you stored the files. The fix (and file locations) will depend on what computer system you're using, so please start with that.

I just had a post of mine deleted when I suggested the mods to remove it You mean this post in this topic? It's better to report such posts with "8 year bump" as a description than to reply, as that makes your own post off-topic. I'm more worried about deleting uberdude522's post: HI. are you still mining? i found your post through a google search - as i am also using a K6000. could you remember what software you were using with your K6000's ? i have use a couple and cant get them to work This is a user who finds Bitcointalk with a specific question, and he gets his post deleted. I feel sympathy for this user because this is something I've done on some other forums too. Wouldn't it have been better if a Mod would advice him to create a new topic (kinda like in Upgrade00's deleted post)? The OP was last active over 7 years ago, if I were you I would not hold my breath for a direct reply from them. You can wait to see if some other user with experience of your question answers it or you could create your own thread in a more appropriate section like mining - ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=14.0) Now Bitcointalk seems very unfriendly to this new user, and I would understand if he never returns. Unlike countless bounty spammers, this could have been a contributing user.

The level of hostility here to an new user is quite unbecoming to say the fact. You guys are acting as if someone is here to take your piece of meat. Why that? I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, so welcome to the forum. The reason for this "hostility", which I would rather call skepticism, is that we are sick of seeing newbies creating threads like this one to fish for merits, people who are later found to be alt accounts of other accounts that have been banned or red trusted. A lot has been written about this already, but I especially like eddie13's post on the subject: Should never have put the temporary illusion of safety above personal liberty.. ie tagging and chasing away “likely scammers” and crushing the unique economic dynamic of account sales..
This forum started acting like protecting idiots is more important than letting users express their free wills..
How many countless good and intelligent users have been chased away because they “might” scam..
<more> I'm hoping we can slowly turn this around a bit. I really trust LoyceV. Since LoyceV believed you, I tend to do so too. Don't mistake someone who (claims) I whitelisted (them) for me vouching for a user. First, you can verify who I whitelisted (and in this case it's true), but basically all I ask from a user is to convince me they're not going to spam. Most failed to convince me, some succeeded. Until now, none of them has been banned, so I take it I'm on the right track. I'm just trying to do my share in helping real users who get hit by evil fees without deserving it. People are used to not trusting newbies, so don't be surprised I don't trust most Legendary users either ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) "Trust" doesn't come easy in crypto.

what if something break on your laptop where you have critical informations? I was serious when I wrote this: Or use a screwdriver, as that's all it takes to take out the drive. What if your power supply breaks on your laptop? I'd probably fix it myself ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Can you trust your repair shop will not duplicate your hdd? You can assume this, but you can only be sure if you don't let your HDD out of sight. When I gave my phone to repair shop, I resettled it to factory setting, but had the luxury of being able to prepare for the event. What should you do in case of an “ unforeseeable” event? Phones are much worse: you can't just take out the disk to send it in for repairs. But phones are also much more likely to get stolen, so I'd say don't store more data on it than you're willing to lose.

The display of Hhampuz's trust rating is not correct (I do not see the red tag even with the DT prefix). There are 7 more users with negative feedback on the list than last week. Vod dropped off, but currently has negative feedback from DT again. Many others (for instance actmyname and anonymousminer) are on the list but currently don't have negative feedback from DT. I got intrigued, and found out what happened: 5 days ago, rxalts was added to DT1, which added Fattcatt to DT2. That made the negative feedback left by Fattcatt show up by default until DarkStar_ excluded Fattcatt (today). So my list was correct (and it can be used as a weekly check on possible discrepancies in the Trust system). This is certainly not my business, but maybe you should think about how to transfer the weekly dump from Thursday to Friday? I can't really change this: I have many profiles to check, and Fridays are used for my Merit data scraping already. I don't want to run those at the same time because of forum scraping restrictions. will you change the order of the donator names? If the first in the list is the name of the one who made the last donation You mean on loyce.club? I can do that, if I ever have the time to add a decent design. Probably right before the new forum software goes live.

There's an admin note on his account so he might have already been banned/unbanned at one point:
Admin investigation required for any plagiarism report before November 03, 2020, 10:25:02 AM If that would have happened, shouldn't he have received a 1 or 2 year signature ban? admin note I didn't know these exist ![](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/afro.gif) While I don't want to be making baseless accusations here I do: they switched from Russian to Turkish to English. The account might even have changed hands more than once.

They may be connected to RedTrust (great username for an alt): Note that alt accounts could be (ab)used to include a random user just to mess with them, so this should not be considered solid evidence.
