Somewhere in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJbxaFHGk2M @fluffypony makes an excellent point about most ICO teams: 'they're scammers who don't know they're scammers yet'.

I've seen enough now to know he's right, it's all either inexperienced kids farting about or a few slimey 'businessmen', so I won't invest in them.

This admitted high-mindedness keeps my very palpable fear of missing out just, just in check.
This explains why most ICO's are starting at the end of may or in june, they are waiting for summer holidays
I see. What, so all the kids can pump their faves over the summer and then come back to school in Lambos?
While bitcoin blithers about all summer and beyond with 'scaling issues'.

I do hope your thinking skills have improved since you wrote this:

From what I recall from the pyramid the vast majority of all BTC is held by a tiny group. This fact makes bitcoin use a joke, while the idea of BTC is good the vast amounts held by small numbers is a huge flaw.

The only way to get it worth using world wide by billions is a huge unrealistic price increase. That in turn makes those few at the top uber wealthy. If someone can find the pyramid it would be nice showing it.

It's sad but ultimately Satoshi must return and distribute all his coin or he is no better than the world rulers we have now.

So ranking holders is laughable because the vast amounts at the top are all that matter.

Not updated but you get the idea why a small group could mean BTC is nothing but a Ponzi that will end harshly one day.

You would do well to learn from the great writer and engineer Stanislav Datskovskiy.

I wonder now with this thread of yours if you are a liar, or worse, a socialist.

... that equally apply to every product worldwide since inception of Bitcoin ever.
this insults the admittedly very few operations that did in fact make a profit in bitcoin
I see a man who changed the world with his action.
the OgNasty bitcoin scam is slightly different than the others - a gentle massaging away of coin rather than a blatant hammering
but a scam nonetheless

there comes a time in the progress of a scam where the supporters also can be considered scammers.

suggest you stfu and help people get their coin back

wait what? all coins, except for the brave and the stupid, should come off the exchanges on 31st July?
that's bullish, right?

not if they decide to sell the coins and wait things to settle instad

They never tell us anything. Angry
It's just rude
To what are you guys referring?
was trying to drag up reasons to be bullish - the threat of a fork on Aug 1. Eric pointed out a major flaw in my thesis. The Mayor kind of kindly commiserated that you can't predict what people will do and hinted it might be a conspiracy - all in a few short words. I tried to bluff it out. I'll get my coat

Who would use Multibit HD if they're not prepared to fix classic. KeepKey is a shit company. End rant.

Instead of being innovative, like Ledger did with their secure element design, KeepKey just forked Trezor open source code. They took the code, made some modifications, and built a business based on original work by Trezor. Welcome to cryptoland.

9614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dear Bitcointalk Community, please change your perspective about Bitcoin! on: June 09, 2017, 08:13:24 PM
...

I think it's sad Bitcoin lost all of its rebellious and subversive charm.

Just look at how goverments and banks consider Bitcoin now. It's accepted in almost every country, with no problem for them while instead some years ago they considered Bitcoin as a very "evil" stuff, something dangerous to fight. In my opinion this is how it sould be; governments and banks should be afraid, should be scared and try to fight Bitcoin by any means. Why? Because Bitcoin has the power to kill 'em all!

But now they think something like this: "Ok, this whole Bitcoin stuff is completely harmless for us... people buy Bitcoin using dollars (and we earn), then sell it for Dollars (and we earn) then their profits are taxed (and we earn again!) That's no problem with Bitcoin, it's another way to make money for us!"

That's wrong, in my humble opinion.
there are some rebels left in bitcoin, just that few are left on this board.

meanwhile some in the govts are scared, which is why they try to subvert btc with scams like ethereum and Roger Ver. but mostly they are totally inept and can't see the tsunami rushing up towards them.

you may like: "These fools have been handed a technology so clever, so disruptive and revolutionary, that the rulers of the world would have to fully unmask themselves as ruthless tyrants in order to suppress it, — or give up their thrones on their own free will — if it were used correctly, that is." http://www.loper-os.org/?p=939

9616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is the safest wallet to use for long term offline storage? on: June 09, 2017, 10:32:04 AM
The most important thing is to always update the security of the Laptop and prepare periodic data backups. The case of ransomware should be a lesson on how to secure data including wallet.
dude he's talking about an offline computer, which is the only safe way to keep coin safe. keep to the topic, huh?

I am really looking forward to this journey with you and I have loads of questions... so where is the best place to air all my questions about this club of yours?
OgNasty NastyFans bitcoin scam first came to my notice due to @kakobrekla, a guy long since banned here (maybe there's info in his posts), but chatting on #bitcoin-assets now.
btw idk or care but 'ponzi' may be the wrong way to describe the OgNasty NastyFans bitcoin scam. think i recently saw OgNasty the bitcoin scammer effectively warn some newb off, saying you do the maths or sth.
really it's just a failed mining operation like any other, except perhaps less wild promises were made.
some say that if cornered or concerned, OgNasty the bitcoin scammer might have enough bitcoin to turn around and make people whole again in bitcoin terms

Rookie question, but doing my first build. Does it matter which slot on the motherboard I put the ram into?
ohai!
if 1 stick ram - slot 1 or 2
if 2 - 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 depending on eg pcu cooler getting in the way
