981  Economy / Economics / Re: Risk of Scarcity. on: May 21, 2021, 10:26:50 PM
Sustainability has been a very long-running issue for us ever since the introduction of civilization. People will hoard more than they can take and leave the penniless suffering. We can see this happening right now, and most likely in the following months as the pandemic carries on. Hopefully we find a way around this somehow because if not, we'll literally die of starvation.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More China Craziness - "Cracking done on mining" on: May 21, 2021, 10:17:50 PM
Whatever happens in China stays in China. These people are so disillusioned of their government's nigh-tyrannical rule because of their booming economy which coincidentally is because they are oppressing smaller countries for their resources and power. But take all of that from China and they will be hapless. Still,  we can't do much about this new rule being imposed since we're not in China, or I guess most of us are. And even if we are we can't really go against Xi Jinping.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: May 21, 2021, 09:53:18 PM
KYC is a much-needed component in gambling sites nowadays. If you can't even offer such services as a gambling firm, you can't expect patrons and gamblers alike to trust you with their money. So of course it would be okay for me to follwo KYC regulations in order to give security and peace of mind as well that the gambling site I put my money on is not a bogus or scam.

986  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can not crash on: May 19, 2021, 10:11:04 PM
Anything with value will have the tendency to crash. More so bitcoin with really high volatility rates based on the people's opinions about it. So you can't just say bitcoin will not crash amidst the current dump season we're having. Let's be realistic and optimistic here because as disheartening this crash might be for the many, it's for certain that this won't be the last time bitcoin will have a crash in value. Let's keep our chin up and hodl if we can!
987  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 19, 2021, 09:59:14 PM
Not sure what is really happening behind the curtain, as the only people who will know it for sure is he himself. But it does look like he's instilling FUD on people so he can buy more. Or it could also be possible that this is due to his Asperger's Syndrome (I'm not shaming him or anything, this is a real theory of mine) that he's doing this seemingly illogical moves.
988  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason Bitcoin Investment will be preferred more than Oil on: May 19, 2021, 09:52:49 PM
Oil may have been going obsolete as time goes by. But at this point it still has a wider use-case compared to bitcoin which is mainly used for store of value and transactions. It might take a long way before bitcoin ever compares to how ubiquitous and rampant oil is not only in the market but in the commercial and societal levels as well. But we're getting there, at least I hope so.
989  Economy / Economics / Re: On the future of Cryptocurrencies on: May 19, 2021, 09:43:51 PM
I am positive that if bitcoin weren't to be successful now, at least it will spark a new generation of cryptocurrencies with better use-cases and economical applications besides just being a boring store of value. We can't really expect updates on the current bitcoin we have right now unless Satoshi finally gets his ass up and works on bitcoin's scalability, which is of course nigh-impossible. So at the very least, we can hope for a better future for cryptocurrencies.
990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Freerolls or Tournaments with Guaranteed Prize? Or what's your preference? on: May 19, 2021, 09:34:00 PM
It's like choosing apples to oranges really. Freerolls on Pokers are mostly limited to up to 5 tries and will almost always have lower odds of giving you wins than if you had just bet, on the other hand, Prize milestones are usually hard to reach the more you play since it would require you to step up a ladder after claiming the previous prize, and most of the time the prizes at the bottom of the ladder aren't worth the money you'll spend it on. It's all a matter of perspective but if I were to choose, I'd choose Freerolls since even if I don't win it's not going to take much toll on me, since I haven't spent money on it anyway.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 19, 2021, 09:28:03 PM
No doubt online gamblinng's gonna boom especially in dire situations like these. People will find a way to socialize, earn money, entertain themselves, or all three of them combined. At least much of this is available for access in online gambling sites, which of course is further improved by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which literally barred people from interacting with each other beyond the internet.
992  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Arguing that a coin with a very low energy usage or "efficient", cannot exist on: May 17, 2021, 09:34:10 PM
Since negativity will always have a stronger grip in the mind than the positive side of things, news will never have no negative headlines in it. This happened with crypto where they do their best to find a rough edge that they can capitalize on and exhibit to those who aren't aware of what cryptocurrencies are, to of course put the industry in a bad light. It's up to the viewers if they will fall easily to this trap or if they are to conduct their own research.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in Space on: May 17, 2021, 09:26:26 PM
would be great if we are to advance in to a type 1 or 2 generation, but with the current technology at hand I would say this is next to impossible at the moment. A good thought experiment, nonetheless. But as long as we stay stagnated with wars and conflicts, and to put the cherry on top, pollution and deterioration of our own planet, we will not be able to make it out alive to even see this being planned.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 17, 2021, 09:23:59 PM
A really good way to promote vaccination and at the same time incentivize the act of taking care of yourself in a way that completely tricks the human mind. Lotteries are the clickbait of gambling and since it works, it can be implemented in every way you can think of really, especially in concepts like these. Hope to hear more from this Ohio Vaccination Lottery to see if there will be a winner, but the fact that this amped the vaccination rate can be considered a win in and of itself already.
995  Other / Off-topic / Re: Online Game addicts=Worrying parents. on: May 17, 2021, 09:21:14 PM
Depending on the age bracket his/her son was in, this Online Game Addiction could be topped with teenage angst or maybe something else, like a serious mental condition perhaps. It's best to have the kid talk to someone he could trust the most, like a friend, and have the details be recorded so the parents can do something about it. Suicide rates are increasing more than ever as we advance as a species so it's always better to have someone look after one another.
996  Economy / Economics / Re: We entered a bear market earlier than expected on: May 17, 2021, 01:40:40 PM
Doesn't really matter if we entered it earlier than expected or if it was dragged out for too long. The fact here that most of the cryptocurrencies in the market upped by a few hundred percent in just a span of 6 months is a successful venture in and of itself. We should just lay-low for now and hope for the best since this might take a long time yet again, but the possibility of us reaching a new ATH is very possible.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: May 17, 2021, 08:42:16 AM
Makes sense but it would still be better if they would impose strict mask regulations as when they are all inside, there's no way you can just check each and everyone of the gamblers with no masks for their vaccination slips. More so, some people will follow the sheep mentality and may even do what they are doing despite the fact that they may not be vaccinated themselves.
998  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 16, 2021, 09:49:38 AM
I know this is not the best decision or thing I have made, but since this bullrun I have already quit on my 9-5 to focus entirely in cryptocurrencies. Then again it has immensely helped me get by these past few months and as long as the bull runs, I'll stay out of employment because it really stresses me out. Then again I know this is not going to stay forever so I am always ready to apply for a new job once the bear comes in.
999  Economy / Economics / Re: Could science fiction based carbon coins save our planet on: May 16, 2021, 09:22:38 AM
That is actually a good concept that will definitely help promote this big repeat offenders to double-down on their efforts to cut down in their carbon emissions. But I believe the best thing we can do is promoting this while also conducting other known efforts to save this planet. Perhaps plant more trees, proper waste disposal to name a few. We can't just expect them to do the heavy lifting for us. We gotta do it altogether or we'll die off along with this planet.
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone on Tiktok said that Bitcoin will go down zero if founder show up! on: May 16, 2021, 09:06:36 AM
Pretty sure just another attempt to make a controversial claim. It's always better to do your own research instead of relying on other people's opinions for your investment choices. More so people on Tiktok. Might as well believe everything that they put in Wikipedia under the cryptocurrency section if that's going to be the case.
