People should be more worried about state sponsored terrorism than the occasional religious nut-case who goes on a killing spree.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Terrorism is the systematic use of terror, often violent, especially as a means of coercion.

So basically, government.
Yeah they are part of the problem. Now that war's been privatised, we've got an entire global military industry dedicated to perpetual war/profits.

The UK government has killed over 10 million people since WW2:  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Unpeople-Britains-Secret-Rights-Abuses/dp/0099469723

985  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government surveillance, getting too intrusive? or is it required? on: August 04, 2013, 01:59:29 PM

Government surveillance is a form of control, more people die from bee-stings/peanut allergies than 'terrorism' so I don't buy into that 'keeping us safe' nonsense.
986  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New US-based ASIC Bitcoin Mining Hardware Manufacturer - ASIC Technologies on: August 04, 2013, 11:42:50 AM
I just put in a claim with Paypal on the 2 miners I bought from Asic Technologies. The resolution center went straight to filing a dispute and bypassed the regular communication phase. It's possible that Paypal has been dealing with multiple claims against this company. Absolutely no communication from them whatsoever, and their phone has been disconnected for 3 and a half weeks.
I hope you get your money back. Paypal tends to side more with buyers than they do with sellers, pretty sure there are quite a few people in the same situation.

http://www.coingig.com/ is another Bitcoin marketplace similar to BitMit.

There's a list of UK organisations who accept BTC:

7950's are they way to go without doubt, they keep their value fairly well if you want to sell them in the future (or use them for gaming).
