Thank you dear Mr. Stackeholder, what a generous move!!  Cheesy

This is so cool!

I think we would all appreciate if more big stakeholders did what 7017504655955743955 has done today, especially top 50 accounts which are all from 5 million to 50 million NXT.

To them to spread 100,000 like 7017504655955743955 did would be nothing but this would show even more greatness of this community and this project.

In the end, doing something like this would just raise the worth of NXT in a long run and paradoxically their main stash would be worth much more than this little part that they have possibly disbursed to this hard working community.

Just something to think about.

Once again BRAVO for 7017504655955743955!!

It would be nice if there was a multisend feature in the client. If I could line up all the addresses of hard working nxt'ers and one-click send a given amount, say 1000nxt (as in each would get 1000) I'd be very inclined to give more regular donations in just this way. Sitting at the computer and putting in 50 or how ever many transactions is a PITA.

So it was you buybitcoinsCanada? The raeason for these donation was Canada gold medal in hockey?  Grin

Is it some kind of giveaway? Smiley
Yes it's a secret.

I like secrets Smiley Maybe there are more secrets? Looks like that all this comes from unclaimed coins divided to 3 funds. Is it?

Public node on Android is running, can connect only locally. Can't connect from outside. Both api nxt.allowedBotHosts and NRS nxt.allowedUserHosts set to *

What more I should do? Ports 7874 and 7875 forwarding is done on router.
Try setting nxt.apiServerHost=0.0.0.0 and nxt.uiServerHost=0.0.0.0 to allow those servers to listen on all interfaces. The default is 127.0.0.1 only.

Vuala! Working now http://217.17.88.5:7875/

Thank you Jean-Luc.

P.S. How to access admin.html from client? localhost:7875/admin.html not found, also html/tools/admin.html

Have stupid question Smiley Trying to brainstorm for myself the exchange of all cryptos on decentralized AE in NXT.
Question is: what is account, which collects fees and delivers them to forgers? Is it hardcoded? Is it possible to have other such account for "escrow" purposes?

EDIT: it is not an account, got it Smiley Last question remains.

Announcing the first online NXT Wallet

https://wallet.mynxt.info

Features:

- Easy to use
- Access your NXT from anywhere
- Responsive layout: works in PC/Mac, Tablets and Phones
- Send/Receive NXT
- See your balance in NXT, USD and BTC

Is it safe?

We made it as secure as possible, keeping in mind that as we all know nothing in the online world can be claimed to be 100% secure.

If you want the details: All accounts are 50 random generated characters long, we use AES256 to encrypt each account address twice (once using a site-wide key and once using your master password). We also only accept SSL connections and hash all passwords (salted).

There have been discussions on the main NXT Bitcointalk thread around possibly making it even safer by doing the encryption/decryption of the account on the client side (as opposed to the server side) and we are looking into this.

Launch Promo

To make things more exciting, as a launch promotion we are giving away NXT in the following way:

Promo status report: We already have over 50 users participating in the promo, and I gave 10 NXT to the first 20 already (will send the rest today).

Block 75000 (for the grand prize) should be forged sometime around Monday or Tuesday.

I can't post to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477526.new#new

Very strange...

I tried to deposit some Nxt to BTER yesterday and it already had more than 20 confirmations after an hour, but didn't go through yet. I already contacted the support.

Does anybody else have this issue?

Go to your account and near NXT try to push SYNC. It works sometimes.

Just to inform, 0.7.6 runs smoothly on Android TV stick public node.

For a while Smiley

Picuntu? Please share hardware and software information, I am VERY interested... I bricked a stick for this...

Ubuntu 13.10 in Android, TV stick with RK3066 chip

Would you be willing to do a how-to write up on the wiki?

http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/How-To

Reposting from my previous post:

OK, here we go. Small tutorial on running NRS in Android TV stick.

Tested on Android TV stick, running 4.2.2, RK3006 Rockchip, internal sdcard.

1. Stick has to be rooted.

2. install Complete Linux Installer from app store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zpwebsites.linuxonandroid

3. Go through all steps as it on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b17Bfza1X3A. I used small 13.10 image, because I installed it in internal sdcard. Extracted it takes 2GB. Important: use ext2.zip files if your android is less than 4.3 and you download them manually from http://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxonandroid/files/Ubuntu/13.10/

4. If you did everything as instructed, you should see Ubuntu running on your device. Install java. Important: install oracle java

5. Now copy Your next folder to your desktop folder in ubuntu

6. goto to nxt folder, open terminal window in this folder, type java -jar start.jar and here we go!!!

7. Now you can use chrome browser in android (no need is to have one in ubuntu) and check everything is working.

Didn't try on other android devices, but I think it should work on any android device.

Ask if you will stuck at some moment (i stuck 10 times in 3 days Smiley), I'll try to help. 20 years ago I was a coder, but now I'm not so tech guy, but I'll try the best.

Next stage by myself is to run NRS on my smartphone and later on refrigerator Smiley So grab your tablets, smartphones, sticks and, instead of talking about voting, global warming and where to spend 10M NXT, run NRS on them Smiley

Finally, if You like my work, there is account for donations: 4552966463117743023  Smiley It took for me 3 days and 6 bottles of wine Smiley

Martis

Somebody should try to go through this and post results. I'm not native english speaker, so it would be difficult for my to write how-to. But, if nobody will do this, I can try Smiley

Maybe I should just disable debug logging by default, it only makes people think something is wrong. The intention was to make it easier to follow what is going on with the block and transaction processing, in the cases where something does go wrong.

Leave it, just simple Joe wants to know, that everything is OK with these messages.
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NXT :: descendant of Bitcoin - Updated Information on: February 19, 2014, 09:49:30 PM
Jean-Luc

Please finally confirm, that messages "DEBUG: Block XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX not accepted. Previous block id doesn't match" are not a problem. I get these messages on 90% blocks of blockchain on my Android TV stick public node. Nobody explained what does it mean and I don't want be a problem on the whole network with my public node.
If you check the block id and the latest blocks in your client, you will almost always see that this same block was actually accepted. Especially when you are running a public node, when a new block appears on the network many of your peers will submit it to you at the same time. Obviously, only one of those submissions gets included in the blockchain, and just after that happens for all the others the previous block id is no longer the same, so they get rejected.

OK, thank you for explanation for simple Joe. Now I can go to sleep and leave my node running Smiley
