Had some problems connecting to the correct blockchain at first (was in one where i mined all 16 blocks) but now it connected fine after adding some nodes into the config. Now downloading the (fast) blockchain to start mining.

Their "support" sucks, express setup is a lie (takes up to 4 days to get VPS), sometimes i get downtimes. But very strong VPS for a great price.
Edit: Hoping the host machines now don't get raped by (more  ) miners. But i got some days left if the company is as slow as always.  

LOL Amazon is expensive! Getting 300kH out of my shitty VPS running 10 of 12 cores... and it only costs 15€ per month (which IS an amazing deal, i know). So for 100,000 kH i'd have to rent 300 of those for 4500€ per month.

Well did you use the "anti virus friendly" cpuminer you posted? And why is it double the size of the "normal" binary? Where did you find it?

That said, i still think the "anti virus friendly" miner could be the culprit, if anything bad has happened at all (so far no screenshot of empty wallets posted).

Even the normal minerd (for scrypt and sha256) gives an anti virus warning, have to whitelist the dir to start it...
So the windows compiled "new minerd for scrypt-jane" posted later could indeed have a trojan and most wouldn't notice as the program is already known to cause false positives.

I wish spammers would get banned for a day or two.
