983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Metropolois likely to reduce ETH mining reward to 3 or less on: July 04, 2017, 05:26:55 PM
I recommend to buy and hold, they will likely pump eth to 0.3 btc minimum and it might reach 0.6 btc. Whales have been buying quietly, they have billions of dollars to pump this again and hold the price just a bit lower than where they want eth to stay.
if eth at 0.3btc, eth would pass btc cap, and it wont happen my boy
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD cards hashrate drop after Epoch 140 on: July 04, 2017, 05:16:37 PM
Actually I do not understand all this hope in the new VEGA architecture. The first benchmark showed 300W power usage and doubt they will do 60Mhash con ETH, which is less that what you can get using current AMD cards

So if you don't understand then that makes me much smarter than you, okay, first polaris is done for right, hashrate is decreasing, amd even claymore or other people dont know if they can fix that, second Vega is a new arch which means problems like we see on polaris might not affect Vega, Vega will have gddr5 versions, will not be only hbm2 versions which mean, Vega is the only thing to make a case and compete x nvidia 1070 concerning miners, they will probably place it around gtx 1070 price, that is a reason amd will not fix polaris, because amd want miners and gamers to make their vega arc a success.

Remember, after polaris is done which will be in 3 or 4 months then to match or surpass the gtx 1070 in hashrate will only be a Vega + gddr5.

Concerning power consumption, performance/power, lower vega models with gddr5 might not use that much power.
lol amd wont using gddr5 on their vega, only hbm, they architect only design for hbm, vega with same count core with fury line, which 60% faster coreclock and 100% faster memoryclock than fury, vega is the beast for next 2years from now
i think amd design vega for zcash, eth will switch to pos , nobody post zcash benchmark lol
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will AMD Vega affect GPU mining? on: July 04, 2017, 05:02:38 PM
 Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
lol to many noobs miner in here, vega confirmed the best gpu mining in the future, take my word and put on trash,  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
nano 1000/500 is doing 450 sol
vega 1600/960 should be 60% faster @minimum, and they have smaller latency on memory should be good on dual mining, vega is the next true king,
power consumption well can be manage, like nano from 170 to 100 watt undervolted
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How will AMD Vega affect GPU mining? on: July 04, 2017, 05:00:43 PM
AMD VEGA = poor hashrate and big power consumption.

It looks like it will be, with the already released Frontier version consuming almost 400W from the wall and staying bellow a 1080 nonTi, AMD just do not stop releasing crappy cards to the masses.
oh son, it looks another fury based card, hoping for vega nano, with 800sol/150w should be amazing thing, haha
i believe amd always deliver good gpu for mining
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will mining profitability keep going down, or will it stop - or increase? on: July 04, 2017, 04:55:32 PM
profit will decline for sure, next couple month will see used gpu on market flooding in every country
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum asic miner hardware advice... on: June 28, 2017, 05:45:27 AM
Don't be so mean guys I'm just newbie to the whole mining thing just saw somewhere on aliexpress ltc miners and I thought they can mine all scrypt currencies... so I guess I need to build gpu rig ... thank you for the replies..

So how exactly do you plan to make a profit?

Use this and tell me how profitable youll be: http://www.mycryptobuddy.com/EthereumMiningCalculator/path?hashrate=30&powerCost=0.12&power=100&chartView=profits
lets say I get 6 x 290/390 on good price thats 150-60 mh/s on current rate(249$) and difficulty my profit will be 575$ without the electricity bill which I'm not paying Smiley
there is no eth-asic, run 6x290, flash it to 290x, and you get around 180mhs, dual mining eth+dcr nice profit then
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [HARDWARE] [AMD DEDICATED MINING GPU] on: June 28, 2017, 05:39:51 AM
So, I found this listing on my country's IT retail store website. I even called the company to confirm about this and they said these cards are legitimate and will arrive by end of July. I'll pre-order some and see if they are any good. BTW price is around 390 USD.

>$390 USD
>End of July release, wont receive it until a few day into August at earliest.
>Eth crashing, difficulty skyrocketing.
>unsure future for polaris cards, possible fix in the works
>will need to BIOS mod to get any decent performance out of it.
>horrific resale value thanks to ZERO display outputs.

Its almost like AMD & partners are taking advantage of you.

Remind me how this makes sense anymore? Why would a person not just buy these for $300 on ebay all day long if they wanted an RX 470 so bad?

You do mention some really nice points there. Actually, it's the cheapest card available in my country right now, but I guess till mid of July, there will be a replenishment of new stocks. I just pre-ordered two of these to test it out and see how they stand out in comparison with normal cards. BTW, Thanks a ton for your opinion. Smiley

oh boy, skip it for sake, 390usd just go pick r9 nano/gtx 1070, or wait for vega at august 500usd
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 7950 vs 280x equihash/ethhash on: June 28, 2017, 05:34:20 AM
I got a bunch of these.

Run them at 1100/1575 with a modded bios (search for my hacked bios straps thread) and you will get 330H/s.

You can undervolt a little but they will use ~200 Watts.
280x/7970 doing 275sol/125watt, its my best setting
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Crowdsale on: June 24, 2017, 12:53:22 PM

almost reaching eth 2400x profit from ico price

997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 20, 2017, 04:11:01 PM
how do you lower the overall temperature of the work?

For instance open the window.
Yes you can do that, and also some big fans. The best is air conditioning

does undervolting gpu also reduce the gpu temperature?
and if gpu temperature reduce, does also reduce hashrates?
or what is the purpose of undervolting gpu?

the purpose is reducing power consumption around -40% , hashrate -15%, temp -15%
hope you understand what ppl mean

@ phillipma1957 - Until there is better Mining software for NVIDIA, AMD is still KING for the coins we care about for now which is ETH and ZEC.  More importantly if you're dual mining.  Also NVIDIA is very flakey in 6 and 7 GPU setups due to driver and mining software compatibilities.  This is why I'm still 100% AMD.

ZEC is good with NVIDIA; can't say for the rest of coins though ~ ETH is poor for example.

Eg. EWBF and Excavator miners drives high ZEC hash (even higher than ZEC on Fury X at very low watts).

Many good cgminer forks for other familiar and unfamiliar algos like DCR, LBRY, Lyra2, X11Gost etc.

Pros: ZEC killer (and only ZEC though, I wonder what clicks in ZEC and NVIDIA architecture), impressive wattage - better than AMD

Cons: Bloody expensive...

Started building my first ZEC rig on twin 1080ti, hopefully this will be an equivalent of a 7-8 rig AMD ZEC rig, at half the watts. Patiently waiting for Phil's weekend review.

2 cards now  one  1080 ti one 1080

watts for entire rig = 373
h for zec                = 1168

pretty much  kills anything from amd in the world of zec

my advice is build 3 six card amds
for every 1 two card 1080ti

two card results
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1851004.msg18496734#msg18496734

why not get two 1070s with low power limit they will do around 930 zec for around 300 watts the 1080ti should be doing like 1k for it to be worth it
lol my r9 nano has better per/watt than you did

Oh I just read that Matchpool is added at ICNP portfolio.

Any Confirmation on this?
