981  Economy / Securities / Re: Whats the best way to pitch an investment here? on: March 31, 2016, 10:13:11 PM
Thanks, got one thing to deliver, a business plan, since that would have all the numbers.

Meanwhile, what would be the objections to receiving product as payment or benefit?

The objection would be that if I want wine, I can do it with a lot less risk by going to a liquor store.

What's easier? Walk down the block, hand someone cash, get wine.

Or, send you bitcoins. wait for you to buy land, plants grapes, turn them into wine, then mail it.
982  Economy / Securities / Re: Whats the best way to pitch an investment here? on: March 31, 2016, 03:44:39 PM
Don't really see the point in seeking investment in a non-bitcoin thing here, since fluctuations in bitcoin price will inevitably end up fucking over the investor (since the person holding/receiving the coin has all the power) but if you are trying to seek investment, here or anywhere else, you are going to be giving out a lot more information before people are going to give you money.

Hard numbers and a business plan to explain what the hell is going on before anyone with a brain even thinks of giving you a penny.
983  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Poker automatics scam--How I lost 9 BTC plus $12000 by a deliberately fraud on: March 31, 2016, 02:59:16 PM
Angry Still a bunch of crap that these even are allowed to existing more than a day IMHO. Where is the internet police? Oh yeah, they are prolly helping em scam

I'm sure the "internet police" have much more important things to do than stopping people from handing their money over to obvious scams.
984  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptsy's Legal Situation on: March 31, 2016, 02:49:10 PM
They're legal situation is that they have not paid what they owed, and have done absolutely nothing to pay back what they owe.

According to them they have been collecting personal information from their customers to follow government regulations, but somehow have no idea who they should have reported the theft to.

Does that make any sense?

Their legal situation is that vernon stole/lost your coins and ran away.

Yes they mismanaged customer money by either insufficient security that allowed a theft, or they may have actually stolen it themselves.  If they were in fact hacked, they hid this from the customers and continued to accept deposits that they used to pay out withdrawals of other customers.  They definitely should face criminal charges either way.

Did you get robbed? what did the police say when you reported that you were robbed?

Why am I, a person with zero "invested" in this dumpster fire, asking relevant questions while all the people who got robbed (crypsty and customers) not asking the right questions?
985  Economy / Securities / Re: Whats the best way to pitch an investment here? on: March 31, 2016, 02:47:36 PM
So you are going to collect bitcoins to start a vineyard in the US from outside of the country?

Or are you moving to the US?

Sounds like a horrific idea.

Why shouldn't I just invest dollars in a current vineyard? If you are successful will you be able to give me more bitcoins than I give you if the price of coins goes up? If it goes down?

Are you doing this successfully where you are? If yes, why are you doing this project? if no, why do you think you can do this project?

Anyone investing real money would need hard numbers?

You are going to "pay" in wine? Why not just buy wine instead of sending money to an anonymous person in hopes to get wine back way far down the line?
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: March 31, 2016, 01:39:27 PM
This is my strategy,  all in black, keep finger crossed, and spin.....

In case you win.. STOP and WITHDRAW.
In case you lose.. STOP and PLAY again next time.

imo better than any strategy

This strategy is mathematically as sound as any other strategy, good luck friend.

OK cryptsy.

Now you have posted on the blog that crytpocracker is a troll. You owe it to your customers to shine some light on the situation.

What "plausible story" did he give you to get you to sign the "contract?"

What has changed since then to make you change your stance and say that he is a troll?

What else are you doing to get the coins back?
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best strategy in Roulette ? on: March 31, 2016, 01:22:59 PM

someone mentioning "Voisins du Zero" methods in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1392235.msg14140959#msg14140959

and this is preview how we use this "Voisins du Zero" method

interesting , but not tried yet because this method required a large bankroll i think. play it for 5 or 10 rounds maybe will not work , also sometimes need to doubled bet. the guy succeed earn 3.8 btc.

Good strategy maybe i can try this strategy maybe i can make a profit with this method.. honestly you can see more strategy in google tipss and tricks that you can make lots of profit.. but its always depends in our luck if we can make a profit even you dont need to do this method..

This strategy has the same expected outcome as putting 9 chips on 1 number, or putting 9 chips anywhere else on the table.

Please don't be fooled by idiots. Do the math (or read someone else doing the math) and figure it out yourself.

The only "method" to get profit is to be lucky.

feel free to call the methods are work or not , the most important are you get profit or not?

but after i tried this method looks like the method and my luck syncronized working perfectly so far , here is the result of my experiment

and don't forget this method will never run smoothly as you want, use it for fun!

You will profit with this method if you get lucky and hit the right numbers, at exactly the same rate as every other strategy in the world.

990  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining? on: March 31, 2016, 01:19:33 PM
You are being sold uncertainty.

I often have seen the argument "no one would sell you a thing that would be more profitable had they kept it". This is true, to an extent. If you don't factor in time. I could certainly hold this tiny digital little goldmine for a while, until it crunches it's numbers and solves its equations and generates its value, but time is my enemy. What if the difficulty leaps sky high because of my competitors? What if the price of btc crashes to unprofitability?

Perhaps it would be better to sell it to another fellow, and let him deal with that uncertainty. And build a better goldmine with the value he has traded me.

Perspective is invaluable.

You listed many good reasons why someone who had a miner would rent it out/sell it to someone else.

Those all happen to be the exact reasons why you would be a moron to buy/rent that miner from that person.
991  Economy / Securities / Re: Whats the best way to pitch an investment here? on: March 31, 2016, 01:17:33 PM
What is your goal?

Is your goal to rob a bunch of idiots?

If yes, it's easy to do here. Start a self moderated thread. throw out some word salad that doesn't make any sense that uses a bunch of buzzwords you will see all over the forum. Promise incredible returns, sit back and collect money from idiots.

Are you trying to start a real business?

If yes, can you earn bitcoins? I hope the answer to that is yes, because if it isn't, you should go somewhere else. If your only business plan is "do something and get rich when the price goes up" I have an alternative business plan that will work out better for everyone, I'll even give it away for free, "do nothing and get rich when the price goes up."

If you have an actual way to earn bitcoins and still need/want investment you can do some of this stuff to get started.

Tell us who you are.

Tell us why you need our money.

Tell us exactly what you are going to do with our money.

Tell us how you are qualified to do what you say you are going to do.

Tell us how this will make more bitcoins for both of us.

Tell us how you are going to prove that you are doing exactly what you said you were going to do in the previous questions.

Weird how it took him weeks after the self-imposed 24 hour deadline to give the coins back that he just came up with the possibility that vernon took the coins himself.

Wonder why he acted as if it was a done deal when he didn't have a clue where the coins were.

Still have absolutely no clue why cryptsy ever interacted with this guy. makes zero sense.

He had a plausible story and we had hopes he could come thru.  However, apparently this is not the case.

Maybe now that it's come crashing down you can share that plausible story with the rest of us? Because nothing that has been posted publicly is plausible at all.

I hate to say this on every single scam accusation thread, but I feel like I have to.

how dumb are you if you thought this would work?

On what planet would this "rise only market" work?

If we were on that planet, what incentive does yobit have to do anything after they unload their coins?

i hope karma finds them

Why should karma hit them? Its not like they really had bots playing poker lol. It was obvious from the start that they were rolling investors funds. The change of ownership and crap were just an excuse for delayed payment. Humans with their excuses.

that is something i didnt know .

I'm not trying to be mean, but if you didn't realize that this was a ponzi scam disguised as a poker operation, you really need to do A LOT more research before your next attempted investment.

Anyone with one ounce of knowledge of how poker works, particularly poker staking, would have realized this was fraudulent. even if you don't have that knowledge, which is vey possible, trying to figure out how poker/poker staking works even a little bit would have clued you in.

No one, especially no random person on the internet, is going to give you a fre lunch. Before you do an "investment," figure out how exactl they are going to be making money for themselves and for you, and find out why they need your money and what they are going to do with it. Trying to do that it this scenario would have shown you that this was a fraud 5 minutes into your searching.

Message to whoever controls Cryptsy's BTC:

Contact me and I'll return the coins on your behalf to Cryptsy, don't need or want to know your identity, and I'll take a lower cut than cryptcrackhead. If you want to return all the BTC, I can pay you your split in unregistered securities, such as savings bonds, or whatever commodity you would like, such as rough diamonds, gold coins, las vegas/atlantic city/macau casino chips, maple syrup, etc. I can get you whatever works for you if BTC is too hot to handle.

Seems like a great offer.

He can do absolutely nothing and keep all the coins, or give them back to you and keep a tiny fraction of them.

i wonder what option they'll take?
997  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cloud mining? on: March 30, 2016, 01:35:51 PM
You are missing that they are all hidden ponzi type scams, or outright scams.

Why would someone rent/sell you 10th for less money than the miners will generate?

What kind of forum?

How much money do you want/need?

How will that turn it into more revenue?

No time now, but I bet this has the same expected value as every other strategy. Feel free to figure it out, I'll do it when I get home tonight if everyone is lazy. The only good strategy in roulette is to be the house.

OK, let's break this down.

You are risking 9 chips.

3/37 times it will land on 0,2, or 3. You will win 22 chips, but lose 7 chips you bet elsewhere. So 3/37 times you will win 15 chips.

2/37 times it will land on 4 or 7. You will win 17 chips, but lose 8 chips you bet elsewhere, so 2/37 times you will win 9 chips.

2/37 times it will land on 12 or 15. You will win 17 chips, but lose 8 chips you bet elsewhere, so 2/37 times you will win 9 chips.

2/37 times it will land on 18 or 21. You will win 17 chips, but lose 8 chips you bet elsewhere, so 2/37 times you will win 9 chips.

2/37 times it will land on 19 or 22. You will win 17 chips, but lose 8 chips you bet elsewhere, so 2/37 times you will win 9 chips.

4/37 times it will land on 25, 26, 28, or 29. You will win 16 chips, but lose 7 chips you bet elsewhere, so 4/37 times you will win 9 chips.

2/37 times it will land on 32 or 35. You will win 17 chips, but lose 8 chips you bet elsewhere, so 2/37 times you will win 9 chips.

That leaves 20/37 times that you will lose all of your bets and lose 9 chips.

EV=(3/37)(15)+(2/37)(9)+(2/37)(9)+(2/37)(9)+(2/37)(9)+(4/37)(9)+(2/37)(9)+(20/37)(-9)

EV=-.2432432432432432

So you expect to lose .2432 chips every spin.

If you put 9 chips on any 1 number:

1/37 times you will be right and win 315 chips

36/37 times you will be wrong and lose 9 chips.

EV= (1/37)(315)+(36/37)(-9)

EV= -0.2432432432432432

HOLY SHIT, exactly the same thing, like every other ridiculous strategy you will come up with (unless you make a  bet on 0,00,1,2,3 on an American table, then it will be worse.
I was reading the exactly same thread last week and was going to try it out.
But if you calculated it as not working even 80% of strategy then forget it. It was just by luck that he got that amount back from just 0.5btc.

I (and every statistics textbook in the world) are not making shit up. Roulette is pure luck. Part of the charm of it is that every "method" or "strategy" works exactly the same way because every bet has the same EV. If you are going to play roulette, play it as a gamble and hope for the best. If you want big risk/big reward, pick a number or 2. If you want a better chance of winning, pick more numbers, but don't think that you have a system that works, because they all work exactly the same way.
