OK, maybe somebody already asked this question. I'm just wondering if I need to request order cancellation and refund.
Is it Neptune (2nd batch) still profitable if it comes out in next new weeks?
depends on in how many weeks and machine parameters. If it will be July 1 and 6 Th/s-awesome, if it is Aug 1 and 6th/s-meh because Spond will probably have 6th in July. If it is July 1 and 4.5-th -good, but overpriced at $13K, could be OK at $10K. Thanks. Mine: 3TH, $10K. I guess it will be risky, let alone by that time, there are lots of Neptune around (mine in the second batch, even worse.) even if it says 3th, it is entirely possible that they will deliver 4.5th instead; some profitability calculators already assuming this-I wonder why? ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) also, because of cancellations, I would think that what was formerly batch 2 will be close to batches 0 and 1. i estimate that at least 50% of all orders were either cancelled or changed to superjupiters and Titans.

what SD card do you have in there?
class 10 solves some issues
try removing the 3rd pool if you have one
I just got the stock SD that comes with the miner, but I could try with another that I got around I just got 2 pools right now How can I be sure if it's the power supply or the SD card ? make a bootable sd card-see page 86 change, see if anything happens (don't forget to change pool info) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) if nothing good happens, and I doubt it will with sd card change, then change power supply if you have a spare 1200w or 1300W. simpler solutions: 1. make sure that outtake fans are not close to the wall (they have to be at least 50cm away) 2. room temperature is at or below 35oC

0.409 per S1 now
0.409X663=~$271 the bump in BTC probably moved S1 EOL by at least a month.

In the context of OP post, "each" and "one" has the same meaning.
Sorry. I have never learned to speak English at school. Only Estonian, Russian and German. Looks pretty strong English from here - 4 languages! not bad Being bilingual (or more!) is supposed to prevent you from ever getting Alzheimers'. Interestingly, when you are truly bilingual, you don't translate, but think or perceive in two languages fluidly. Can we get another group buy at a discount, please? Current calculators show no profit until deep in the fall (if everything is perfect), so buying bitcoin right now is preferential with summer heat already here.

I have some S2 Coupons valid 11 June. Asking .2BTC each. Or make me an offer. Again these will save you $400 off each S2.
0.2BTC=$130 400-130=270 these will save you $270 off each one S2. Today I bought one of S2 without the coupon. In the context of OP post, "each" and "one" has the same meaning.

BITMAIN ….. your site is not working… I show that I have a valid coupon that is about to expire in a few hours, but when I check out, the cart will not allow me to ad the coupon. I need to use the valid coupon on my order … Can you tell me why using my valid coupon on this S2 is not working ?
check the time in Shanghai, not where you are.

S1 is ending itself, but not ended by these late guys~ I suspect that these guys will be ended by Bitmain's next gen chip, which still has not been officially announced yet. There are already lots of rumors about it.
Exactly, S1 is super solid "on average", great foundation for the v2.0 product. S2 is intermittent version, in my opinion.

I don't usually SSH in so can't help you there. The first part of the message is common but I've never seen it become a problem.
Your slot problem is hardware though, and doesn't sound like power. You'd get a few chips working/dead rather than all blank.
What could be there in hardware if I replaced the power board? BTW, you are right as far as changing power supply-it did not fix anything. This is a mystery. Could it be that they loaded corrupt firmware file or bitmain software file? I already replaced or checked every single hardware piece I could think of, apart from beaglebone. well , now I replaced the firmware and the problem stays: no single board/blade works in slot#1 and it is not a poweboard problem because I replaced it with the new poweboard from bitmain. I think that this is a possible intermittent board design flaw because they obviously modified the design by adding 4 "hanging" resistors. I assume that as a result, on my particular machine, first nine boards consume too much power for the 10th board to hash. I understand that this is somewhat rare problem. Bitmain is offering to replace the board, but any board is happily hashing at any other place, so I am "stuck" with partially functional machine after spending a few hours trying to fix the situation I will RMA the current board at slot#1, maybe they will send a board that is designed better (new design)

Wierd problem with my S2:
slot#1 does not hash (ever!-no green light blinking)
moving boards around did not help using a brand new powerboard did not help even connecting fans to a neighboring set of pins did not help (one set is free in my miner) reconnecting beaglebone, ethernet cable did not help making sure that all PCIE connectors are tight did not help reimaging the microSD card did not work connecting new power supply with all-new PCIE cables did not help
the only thing not done yet is updating the firmware (which is already current, dated 4/10/14).
Any suggestions? this is a crazy problem to have, and it wasn't fixed by a new powerboard as I hoped. i am out of ideas. The other 9 boards/blades are hashing
Any suggestions?

its easy to fix just remove the known_hosts file (I do this all the time on my mac)
bring up terminal
cd .ssh rm known*
(and try ssh connection again)
just a * after known? Will I be able to connect to my other ants if this directory is removed? hopefully, it will be restored anew on a new connection. right? thanks for help, much appreciated.

You're not testing with one board alone are you? That slot throws up errors if all the ones above aren't populated. Its also the most sensitive to low power or power issues.
I tested all possible combinations of boards. First slot shows ------------ on all asics, no 0 or X. Edit: reloading bitmain.img did not help, but i learned how to make bootable drive ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You are probably right about power- don't know how to check it apart from using my spare EVGA1300. My suspicion is that either my enermax or enermax cords are defective in my machine. My understanding is that slot#1 is fartherst from the enermax, not closest. After I reimaged theflash drive with bitmain.img, I got a nasty message after trying to ssh into S2 @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @ @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY! Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)! It is also possible that a host key has just been changed. The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is <letters and numbers>. Please contact your system administrator. Add correct host key in /Users/<my user name>/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message. Offending RSA key in /Users/<my user name>/.ssh/known_hosts:6 RSA host key for XXX.XX.X.XX has changed and you have requested strict checking. Host key verification failed. How this could be remedied apart from hopefully going back to the old SD card? Is this normal when reflashing the SD card with bitmain.img? How one finds out a correct host (mine) key? Thanks. Right now I cannot ssh into the machine because of this.

this board (sidehack) was referenced on the KnC board as to providing hosting at $85/kwh. Can I get a link to details, please? Thanks.

I'm with Hyena on this one. Spent 15 years of my life "playing it safe" and conservative, and it got me nowhere really. While other more daring risk takers during that time made a killing. No more for me, I've flipped the switch. Bitcoin will either prove to be the game changing technology and cryptocurrency that many believe it will be, or it will go down to zero. And I guess if that happens I'll ride it down along with millions of others. But I just don't see that as the outcome, at least not for the next 3-5 years. It's going to turn the world of finance on it's head. And I'm strapped in.
Great post. I think a lot of us here may be like this. At least those of us in the 30+ age range. My best friend is a wealth advisor for ameriprise and has gone the "warren buffet" route (extremely slow returns, gradual, but guaranteed) and he still struggles to do all the things he wants to do. I was the same way, and when Bitcoin came, something just made me change. Threw caution to the wind. I said "f*ck it" and started buying and buying and buying at $80.00. Friends calling me crazy. I actually felt like a total fool at the time. But it became like an addiction. The more I read about it, the more something inside me *knew* this was going somewhere. One of my only super powers is shit like this. I know when I see something that is going to be huge. Even if everyone around me says it wont. I have yet to be wrong. I just have *never* taken the leap because I was afraid to take the risk. I literally was in the sales office of a new condo complex in 2003 ready to buy as the housing boom was getting started. It was a gamble. And I didn't take it. I could have purchased a place for $120,000 that sold for $750,000 less than a year and a half later. I *always* miss the boat. And I always know I'm missing it. But never had the balls to go for it. This time I am "all in". Because this time I listened to my intuition and decided to take the risk on it. -B- I'm just like you. Something, I don't know what, just seemed to tell me that this was the thing that was going to change my life. It's now an addiction for me too; I have no idea how many hours I have spent reading about BTC since January, but it's a LOT. Still, if this isn't a contradiction to what I've just wrote, I won't really believe it until it actually happens & I can buy & do the things I've always wanted to. interesting...I had this feeling, but not too often. I wonder if a significant percentage of bitcoiners have this possibly genetic trait. We might be the upcoming X-men...I kid, I kid. Most psu can run over spec 10-20% for awhile, I dont know about the build quality of Enermax, maybe thats why they dont ship as complete units anymore.
Corsair and Seasonic Plats are pretty good.
I'm thinking about a Corsair 1300, but would hate to drop the cash if it won't really "buy" me anything. That said, what are the odds the upgrade blades BM has referred to will come it at lesser wattage? I'll probably just bite the bullet and replace the PSU, my S2 slowly works down to 970 GH/s, even though only 4 chips are showing as disabled. I'm guessing my PSU is acting up. minersource.net has a good deal on used EVGA1300 for $140. I've got a new power board with black caps-anybody has this? Will take a picture later for comparison and will also try the new board with old psu, then try to change to EVGA1300 and report performance.
