It completely matters and everyone knows that. Would miners continue if price was low? no. Then it is very, very important.
It is important to miners, but what price do you consider to be low? $100? $200? $300? It's very simple, if the miners consider the price to be low, they will either wait for the price to catch up, or they can sell their equipment to get back some cash. That's for the lower level miners. The farms will most likely continue with running, and/or make it possible for people to rent their hardware by selling "cloud contracts" and cutting off the rewards by heavily taxing people with ridiculous fees as CEX used to do.

Auction is closed. I will be locking the thread now.
PM me if you want to buy all these domains directly for 0.05BTC. Don't offer anything below that. 0.05BTC is a fixed price.

No. There is no such a thing as a permanent price in Bitcoin. I am happy with whatever price is comming towards us the comming months. If we fall back to around $300, then it's fine. If we go up to around $500, then it's fine too. We'll find out what will happen.

My guess is that Satoshi chose to remain anonymous because of all the crap. Who would want to be Satoshi and deal with crazy people and their conspiracies? It might even be dangerous. I could see some deranged, paranoid user killing him to defend against alien invasion or secret society. It is my sincere hope that Satoshi is never outed. There is no reason to care who wrote bitcoin. Everything Satoshi wanted to say was said in the source code.
I don't think we ever have to worry about Satoshi releasing personal information about himself to the public. As you say, there are a lot crazy people out there that are capable of doing anything, not even to mention governments that might even do harm to him for being the creator of something that might even crush the financial industry at some point in the future.

... If the "scam" according to you is soo obvious, why don't you just sell your account, so you get a few bits back, and never come back to this forum ever again, ok? Deal? DEAL!?
Dear 1Referee, Only dirt-poor degenerates sell their accounts. To normal people, that sort of thing is as abhorrent as panhandling, selling their ass, or selling their daughter. You're being embarrassing, 1Referee. Please stop. Look at the digital goods section, people selling accounts is big business since even accounts with potential activity have value. Do you seriously think kwukerducker won't sell his account if he is being offered 1-2BTC for it? Think again ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

There needs to be more encouragement for shops to keep bitcoin. There are a few businesses that keep their BTC as BTC and we should be encouraging that. Not using companies that are just using the bitcoin for buzz and cashing in on all of us bitcoin consumers.
There should be a list online of all the businesses that dont convert their bitcoins into fiat. Then we could as consumers make that choice.
Do you seriously expect regular merchants to hold a currency that is so volatile as Bitcoin? Think again, the answer is no. What will you do as store when you sell for example a tv for $800 in Bitcoin and hold the coins, and a day later the coins are worth $750 and another day later the value dropped to $700??? You can say, let them just hold the coins and wait till the value has recovered. But it doesn't work like that. In their system it says a tv has been sold for $800, but the real value of that transaction is now only $700. It means a direct loss of $100 for them. Don't forget that they also have to pay tax over the $800 sale, while their coins are only worth $700 ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

If something like that happens, then you will need to use your fiat currency or gold or any other precious metals. I don't even think about this scenario. It's too far away, if ever.

With the biggest governing bodies of the world; USA, China, Russia and EU cracking down on bitcoin while making sure the established banks now own the patent to the technology, the scam the community is making out of bitcoin is so obvious it's mind-boggling how people don't see it.
Charging over $400 real dollars for a made up virtual token that will be one of the most illegal things in the near future? What? Yes... this is what greed and ignorance does to people.
We had a great idea, they took it from us. Don't let them or the remaining scammed take your hard earned money as well. At best the value of btc will be around $30-50 when used in a niche of underground illegal activities.
If the "scam" according to you is soo obvious, why don't you just sell your account, so you get a few bits back, and never come back to this forum ever again, ok? Deal? DEAL!?

I can't believe that the media's not arrested for harassing and somewhat intimidating Satoshi.
Let the media do whatever they want. Satoshi is gone. They won't find him unless he is letting the outside world know who he is. Satoshi is a mystery, that's what makes him interesting to write about. Let the news sites publish as much worthless articles about finding Satoshi as they want. I use these articles to have a good laugh. Especially the latest Craig Wright bullshit, how can this NOT make people laugh.

Can you prove that you are actually the owner of the domain? If you agree to use a trusted forum escrow, then my offer is $100.

BTC has the bad habit of always leaving behind their old ATH by at least 1 order of magnitude.
This is indeed just a warm-up
They also said bit coin never goes below it's old all time high. That didn't work out so well for anyone banking on it. Going above 1000 and settling there is a big task. It's gonna take a while. Who said that? The person who said that is a noob. The old ATH was a great pump and was never meant to last long. All people who where witness of this pump back in 2013 will agree with that. It was a perfect moment for traders to sell the coins that they bought for $100-$200 for +$1000. I am sure we will go over $1000 again, but it costs time. If we do it slowly, then the chances of staying above $1000 are significantly higher this time. Plus there is also the block halving. That will definitely help. Patience is the key. Use the time you have to scoop up more coins in order to benefit at the highest level.

News sites do keep an eye on his alleged Bitcoin addresses. If they spot an output, then these sites will make a large article about it, with a click bait title such as "Satoshi is active again!!" while they have no proof that it is actually Satoshi who is using that address.

Do nothing with it. Keep it in your wallet, and try to earn more Bitcoins with your service. That's the best possible you can do. The price of Bitcoin will continue to advance the comming months. By doing nothing you will see your coins gain value

Total idiot... It's like saying... We do not want capital from other countries flowing into our country. Who does that? This is how countries like Spain and Sweden will leap ahead in the progress towards a "Bitcoin friendly" country. It will create more jobs and it will pull in loads of tourism income from other countries. Protecting the Ruble is stupid, because the advantage of doing that is tiny in comparison to the advantages of embracing it. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif) Russia has never been a Bitcoin friendly country. They always threaten with bans and nonsense policies to push back Bitcoin. At least, that's what they are trying. Let them do whatever they want, Bitcoin usage will stay active in Russia whether they like it or not ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

For online purposes I solely work with Bitcoin. I don't use fiat money anymore unless a certain webshop where I purchase something doesn't accept Bitcoin. Only then I make an exception. In real life I prefer fiat money. Because I can't pay my bills, food, gas, etc, with Bitcoin. Perhaps that might change at some point in the future.

Nothing new. People are chasing quick profits and don't think about the risks that their actions may have. It's insanely stupid to deposit funds while you know there is no way to withdraw your coins (for the moment?).... people need hard lessons.
There is nothing I can add. Well said ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

A family member of me wanted to buy some coins just to try out what it is to have Bitcoin, and what it is to spend it, etc. If I'm not wrong, he bought $30 worth of Bitcoin. At that time he received around 0.028BTC for his $30 ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

2009-2012. Early adopters 2013-present. Late adopters.
2009-2012. Very early adopter. 2013-2015. Early adopter. 2016-2020. Reasonably early adopter. 2021-2030. Good moment to step in for institutional entities. 2031-2040. Good moment to sell a good part of your coins, and enjoy your life as multi millionare. I'm glad that I'm into early adoption period. But as per these phase calculations, to become multi millionaire I need to wait till 2031. Bitter truth. But I already knew that bitcoin is not the "become rich in quick" kind of program. Building up a very high price for Bitcoin takes several decades. It doesn't happen overnight. You can see it as a huge extra retirement bonus. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Honestly I don't think ShitCoins dot com can be used by any person/organization/business to represent themselves. You used it. Haven't you? To boost your signature campaign earnings ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
