given the cayos happening in the world i wouldn't be surprised of nuclear war and in this case i would expect internet disruption question is what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down?
home internet and mobile internet goes down
do not mean trade bitcoin to buy/sell i mean using it as a way of payment say you wanted to send money to someone abroad for family far away

Bitcoin network completely breaks down. no hash power, no node. no confirmation, then we have to go cash, like dollar, euro.

face to face trades? Of course there must be a way to broadcast the transaction anyways. And as said on previous topics, if there is no internet service, we probably have bigger things to worry about.

If something like that happens, then you will need to use your fiat currency or gold or any other precious metals. I don't even think about this scenario. It's too far away, if ever.

see it as avacation from tradins, since not only you but everyone else can not trade, so you did not lose anything that day by not trading
or are you an obsessed trader that must trade everyday?

If the internet goes down, Bitcoin is rendered useless, you pretty much can't do anything. But I doubt that the internet will ever go down, as in like fully shutdown across the whole world.

Exactly. That's why we need to use fiat and Bitcoin in todays world. Somethings Bitcoin can't do compared to fiat and vise versa. We need to have some variety in the world.

I can tell you if a nuclear war breaks out there are way more important issues to solve than Bitcoin! Secondly if Internet goes down, several other markets and industries will go down as well! The Internet is so widely used today, worldwide, that a total collapse would set us back for decades!

I didn't think about that, but I think that bitcoin will be down if there isn o internet. I am not sure, maybe they are other way to do bitcoin traiding with out internet. Nuclear War that can happen, but I think it won't happen is to risky for country to make that move.

If the Internet goes down, the Amish community will be the only ones going about life as usual perhaps trading bitcoins using paper wallets?

This would be possible if the miners continue running and part of the population still has an Internet connection. Without internet you need another network. Without a network you can do mining on paper and keep a printed copy of the blockchain, but transaction time would be very slow

Absolutely agree. This scenario, i think it wouldn't happen. Nowadays all people can't live without internet. Even for Bitcoin, can't survive if internet goes down either. I can't imagine it.

This would be possible if the miners continue running and part of the population still has an Internet connection. Without internet you need another network. Without a network you can do mining on paper and keep a printed copy of the blockchain, but transaction time would be very slow Without the Internet, bitcoin buyers and sellers cannot connect to trade with one another and this will dramatically affect bitcoin's price negatively. Even if some people have access to the Internet, the fact that bitcoin usage reverted back to its early days, when not more than a handful of people have access to it, bitcoin will crash in value to that of the early days. But there's some good news: those with Internet connection will be filthy rich from operating an internet cafe just so people can check their facebook and instagram updates. HA!
