9961  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has defeated gold on: March 03, 2017, 04:18:19 PM
I started to get it when it was $ 450.
I sold it when the price was $ 900.
I'm very regretful.
Yeah, I also made a mistake of selling my bitcoin as soon as they started going toward $1000 because I thought that it is going to go down just like what happened in early January, I find it really hard to trust anyone and any news about the price since they have been wrong so many times, I am going to start doing what I feel is right.

I hope for another round of buying opportunities when the verdict on bitcoin ETF applications will be made. I plan to buy more if I find any chances. Otherwise I will keep on buying for every $50 rise.
9962  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC low fee taking days (or more) on: March 03, 2017, 02:56:19 PM

With the price up and trading going up, fees are skyrocketing. Transactions a few days ago took hours which was too long. My now it's been 24 hours and still 0 confirmations. Besides the major annoyance and risk this causes, is there any way to fix BTC? I don't see it surviving unreliability.
I feel your pain on the waiting time because I previously cashed out on a bitcoin gambling site and they didn't have any option to increase the miners fee as a result they used a low fee on my tx which caused me to wait for a day. There's a way to fix the problem but it's still being debated afaik.
The fees and the transaction time has been a major issue for quite some time in the bitcoin community, since the bitcoin’s price has been constantly rising more and more people are coming in and the user base of the bitcoin is rising which means more transactions need to be dealt with and the blockchain network was not prepared for this flood, so hopefully they fix this soon because it is really annoying to have to wait for a whole day for confirmation.

I believe bitcoin foundation or the dev will need to make a decisions on this as prices are surging very rapidly and we need to get ready to welcome more number of adopters and hence bigger blocks might be the right solutions and we are going to experience them very soon.
9963  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal? on: March 03, 2017, 01:46:03 PM
Do you think that sometime in the future, Bitcoin might overcome Paypal, as it scales in capacity and userbase over the years?

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

Nevertheless, feel free to vote on the poll above and express your opinion about it, if desired.  Grin
I believe that the Bitcoin will over Paypal because Bitcoin has better aspects like the low fees and fast transfers.
And the community of the Bitcoin is growing very fast. And anything is possible in this world.
Paypal will always be faster than Bitcoin, unless services don't require confirmations on txs that is. Low fees are also not the case anymore, with an average fee of 0.50$ per tx atm, it's rapidly catching up to Paypal's fees.
It is true, not only PayPal is faster and doesn’t require confirmation like bitcoin but also it is really popular and it is used by everyone and every online shop on the internet, but not having confirmation time is also what makes it bad for security reasons, I mean PayPal are easily hacked these days, I think that bitcoin is still a new thing and just like PayPal was it is going to need some time for people to adopt it.

Bitcoin will overcome Paypal, I am not having any doubts on that. But when that is happening bitcoin needs to be a versatile payment system to accomplish more number of transactions. I guess increasing the block size must be the first step for making bitcoins to overcome PayPal.
9964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Learn from others mistakes. Hodl on: March 03, 2017, 12:46:51 PM
i think i am going to sell right now. Because of the ETF deadline.
Probably if ETF is not getting approved means we can expect some fall back but definitely not too heavily, maybe around $950 levels also possible  but very sooner we can expect prices to bounce back to this current levels up to $1300 and may continue it progress of up surge. Hence I am not finding ETF as a deadline for holding bitcoins.

ETF may be just force for current rally, but surely $1300 levels were speculated when bitcoin prices beating gold prices. Just hold you will get $1500 and then $2000 levels within 2017 itself regardless of what ever out come we are going to get for ETF.
9965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: March 02, 2017, 02:47:43 PM
Unfortunately my country only have a few casino since my goverment has strict policy against gambling
No matter what type currency they operated ,as long as it consider as gambling ,it become difficult to expand around my place
You are right and some places people just don't consider casino gambling a good deed and hence even if they open a casino there hardly anyone would play. Like in my society if ever anyone comes to know that I am doing gambling then they would always look to get me out of society because they give logic's like their children will grow bad.

Anyways I hope there was a gambling city in my country where we could gamble anytime and if possible they also develop provably fair games.
9966  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the amount of BTC required for a professional trade? on: March 02, 2017, 02:12:12 PM
mostly a bigger 1 like BTC10 bitcoins or more? because when we are talking about a professional trade in btc we are talking about big money's big investment and big profits that you could get . Most likely that big amount of bitcoin i would suggest
I believe it must be a myth that professional traders are making big profits. We cannot ignore losses are also part of trading and hence professional traders also will be facing losses in bad market fluctuations. Probably the definition of professional traders must be traders who are making more profits than losses.

From this it is obvious, professional traders also will be sticking with some relatively small capital as part of their fund management techniques. Big capital will always lead to big losses, in the knowledge and experience trader will not prefer that.
9967  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fixed income with BTC trading? on: March 02, 2017, 11:49:32 AM
There is no guarantee in any sort or any kind of trading activity. In the market just like in real life there are winners and losers and from real life we know that very few traders are winners. The majority are losers. Best to get a fixed income with BTC would be to work for it. Go in the services section, there is a lot of work there or check freelancing websites.
That is completely different story because as such people will advice gambling, services, exchanges, etc.

But what we are discussing here is about trading and its commonly known that bitcoins price changes a lot and anyone who has been doing price trading since a long time can easily tell you how profitable that market is, just it needs enormous patience like when the price was dropping after reaching $1000 people panicked and those who trusted the price will get back earned huge !
9968  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Auto tradint bot 10% daily? on: March 01, 2017, 06:32:50 PM
There are many trading bots. But none of them will be performing consistently. That is the reason all the developers come forward to sell them because instead of using those bots for own trading, selling them would be more profitable.
Yes, another reason might be they are not sure about how their bot will perform on different market situation. Similarly mining ASIC companies are selling their latest inventions to make profits instead of using them for their own mining. If the use them for own mining, when mining difficulty rising up due to other competitors are developing similar capability ASIC, they cannot make profits. So, it would be highly profitable when they sell them instead of using.

It would be highly foolishness when we are expecting someone come forward for our wellness. When they are selling out their responsibility and business find one good end rather than struggling with them continuously.
9969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: February 27, 2017, 03:56:12 PM
You do not see anyone rich from gambling, which is taken for granted. No one rich from gambling or if there are people that, they can not sustain. Today you can win but tomorrow you can lose. And you want to get back the money lost, you plunge into the gambling to earn its money back. Decided not to gamble is your right decision.I have also seen many people lost property, homes just because of gambling. But gambling is not bad. You can see it as a form of entertainment after a tiring working hours. And if you intend to get rich from gambling, then I advise you not to because could not get rich from gambling.
I think only those people who are not strong in decision power and in experience people  can lose in again the winning amount. But those people who have strong decision power and having good well power then they can sustain and can even increase their winning amount. But I think very little number of people has the power.

Everyone loses in the end and possibly ruin your life if you're addicted to it so anyone thinking about it then don't try it.
That is true. Still no gambler is ready to listen you. They will keep on playing until they experience the truth of your statements. That is the reason gambling is still with us and with an imagination of getting rich from it.
9970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: February 27, 2017, 03:45:09 PM
In that places yes the gamblers are rich people because they are already rich people having their businesses and they gamble for fun and do not rely on gambling for their profit so they do not feel shameful because they are already living a successful lives.
At the end of the day,its their life what matters the most.Society doesn't need to convince you of who you are.If you feel you're happy and satisfied with the life you're living on the cost of yourself, you should not care what others think of you.It doesn't make you wise in any ways.If you start taking them seriously and you think they're right, you must re-think your choices in life.
It is true that you should never listen to people and do what you think is good for you and feel satisfied for it but that does not apply to gambling I think, it is like saying the same thing to a drug or alcohol addict, the point is don’t do things you know they are wrong and listen to people if they are right.

Feeling shameful for being a gambler must be coming from their own thoughts so that they will try to come out of gambling. If we push them for making feeling shameful, I believe that will not work up to the level we are expecting.

9972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the easiest way to make a profit from gambling? on: February 25, 2017, 05:36:30 PM
The easiest way to make profit from gambling is to not gamble at all, so you save your money from a likely loss. But you can easily make money with things that are related to gambling, like bankroll investment, signature campaigns, affiliate programs, blog posts, etc. Gambling is a well developed industry and there's plenty of opportunities for work, or maybe you can even create your own gambling site.

Good point. Make yourself a favor, to not play as a gambler and become investor of gambling sites that have a good companion - house edge.. These way, you have less risk and good potential of earning profits in no time.
Yeah sort of agree with that even though that is quite off topic as the topic related how we can make profit with gambling.
I think opening casinos and not gambling is something else and can't be considered under this category.

The only way to win is by playing multiplayer games because that way you are not just betting against a strong house rather a weak opponent who has no advantage over you.
9973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: February 25, 2017, 08:37:02 AM
for me experience does matter in playing gambling. Having experience will help you understand what is going on during the game. Experience also contributes in the analysis of the game which will contribute in learning some strategies to win the game.
Yes, experience also helps in dice gambling, wonder how ?
See when you are new in dice game and don't know much about it you will feel like its very easy and you can win all the money quite easily. But once experienced you know that the only way to win with dice is to make little goals and reach them and cashout, while a new gambler would always go for the big one and hence loos all.

When we are capable of learning from our mistakes then we can make use of experience everywhere. We ignore continuously learning and losing the highly valuable experiences.
9974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: February 25, 2017, 07:50:40 AM
I would say that only a portion of the society are gambling, not majority in the society but yes, there is a need for that small amount of individual to slow down their gambling habits especially if they just keep on losing and not winning at all.
Even if they are winning I feel that's not good because the more they win the more they become addicted to gambling and hence loosing in long time. Gambling is something that should be banned from every country maybe since this habit does no good to anyone. But on a second thought there are people who do this activity for fun, they have lonely lives and they need a site or place to spend time which gambling covers quite decently.

there is trading and investment. It has an easy money in trading
I do not think trading is that much easier. It is a common thought only gambling may give easy money. If trading is so, then people would have left gambling and would have been trying with trading. Trading requires proper approach with knowledge. That approach will not come into practice that easier.
9975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about bonuses on btc casino ? on: February 25, 2017, 07:15:35 AM
Getting a good bonus while gambling is always a added bonus as the chances of winning will increase if you could make use of the bonus they are providing and thereby reducing the house edge and the leverage you have against the house at a given time and so i would gladly accepts any bonuses given by the casino to increase my chances .
But those type of bonus are hardly given in bitcoins based casinos or sportsbook because you see the best bonus one can get is a deposit bonus which itself needs wagering a lot.

I would love to see some bonuses like bet365 gives to it's users like Loyalty bonus, sign-up bonus where the user just has to wager them thrice the value and its pretty simple too. That been said they ask for a lot of proofs and all and hence can afford giving bonuses while btc casinos don't ask for verifications and therefore can't stop multiple accounts.
9976  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: February 24, 2017, 03:12:26 PM
Is it wise to buy in bitcoins now at a so high price($1171)?
Do you think it is going to rise a new high level?
The high on bitstamp for today is 1220 USD, if you have bought at the prices you have mentioned roughly you would have manged to get some $50. Or at least aright now prices are around $1199, still ~$25 profits. This is just an indicative how bitcoin trading works, but no one can be assured about future prices as it is always a mystery.

Like many people suggesting buying right now is recommended only when you are capable of holding bitcoins for next one or two years. If you bother about quick profits, then please stay away.
9977  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is BTC's maximum target price/ceiling? on: February 24, 2017, 02:18:37 PM
What is the possible maximum amount BTC could reach in the future?
Some predict 10,000$ in 36 months, but is this the 'final' ceiling?
What could be the maximum targeted price?
How we can expect people will stop adopting bitcoins after some period of time or price levels. (As per my speculations, I am expecting $10k levels within 24 months itself).

The demand is infinitely viable to increase. I am not finding any stable prices for bitcoin for at least next 200 years as mining will last for next ~140 years and demand will be depending on world population so it may go beyond 200 years also.

On rough estimations, we can expect bitcoin prices in millions in next 5 to 10 years.
9978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ChronoBank vs. Qtum, which you choose? on: February 24, 2017, 12:02:25 PM
Anybody knows in which exchange is Chronobank is f going to be launched and when?

Livecoin, Exmo, Liqui and some other after 26 feb
I just wonder people will choose an altcoin based on the exchange listing ? But I am not sure most of the altcoins are getting listed to all the famous exchanges at that times. I have seen some practices from few exchanges like they are not preferring listing all the coins but some charge fees for listing out an altcoin.

When we are all able to get a free account with any exchange and get verified with them if needed then I believe we never need to worry about in what exchange which coin is going to get listed, right ?
9979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin price kill Altcoins? on: February 24, 2017, 11:36:04 AM
With bitcoin price breaking all records and still rising, what do you think will it kill the altcoins for a lot of people will sell their Altcoin holdings and convert it to bitcoin.
Usually altcoin prices are reversely proportional to bitcoin value. This is due to maintain the same fiat value equivalent.
Hence, when bitcoin finds value appreciations, altcoins will lose their corresponding satoshi value. But, once bitcoin finds stable value, altcoins will start their rally. Means, investors might move their money from bitcoin into altcoins. I have observed this many times.

Your views which Altcoin will survive and keep rising with bitcoin?
The survival of altcoin is not influenced by bitcoin's value. If a coin has reasons then it will attract investors and adopters to stay with us.
9980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Earn Ethereum ? on: February 24, 2017, 11:00:25 AM
I just heard a lot about Ethereum, I heard it is good to invest in Ethereum.. Aside from buying it, are there any signature campaign and payments via Ether? Any freelance site and accepting Ether as payment?
Why not you bother working for bitcoins or fiat and then buying Ether from exchanges ? Altcoin payments for anything are really very much hard to find. (Even altcoin faucets are paying in lesser satoshi comparing equivalent bitcoin rewards). A simple working way to acquire Etherium must be buying them in exchanges.

I do not find any point on looking for direct Etherium rewards when there are tons of easy availability of bitcoin rewards and we are all able to buy Ethrerum using bitcoins.
