1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone have any good gamling code/sites for sale? on: April 18, 2013, 02:22:37 AM
Kinda a thread hijack but its cool.
Im surprised, a dice game is really easy I thought someone here would whip this up over lunch break or something. Shoot i created one already and I have limited skills. I just would like something a bit more professional.
So nobody?

Sorry about that WiseOldOwl.

Bumping this thread for ya!

Good thinking WiseOldOwl - buying code/sites! That'd save a lot of time and efforts figuring the puzzle out.

If anyone would be interested in selling me their dice code/site (after WiseOldOwl get his first pick) I'd be open to negotiations and offers as well! I'm looking for something similar to S.Dice/BTCDice.

Add me on Skype Adv3rtK1ngz   the 3 = e and the 1 =i last thing I want is that to be out there.

I have a few ideas we could maybe work together somehow. I could do the marketing who knows.

Hi hstlmn, I've actually already got a partner for the marketing side of things. I'm sorry.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New BTC Gambling Service? What would you want? on: April 17, 2013, 09:29:58 PM
I was actually thinking about doing this. I have the marketing background and could really make something take off. One thing you are going to need is capitol we are talking around $10-50k in bitcoin at least.

You need something cool and different. I think Poker would be really cool with Bitcoin and other currencies.

When I was looking into it there where some issues I am still working out in my head. You are better off making a new currency. Call them Bit Chips, when using bitcoin on the gambling side the huger issue seems to be the transfer rate times.

You need to make cashing out fast and easy, this is a must on a gambling site because well even the popular ones out now are crap.

Another goal is offering like a quick cashout conversion. Where you have a service that will cash out your bit chips to bit coin and almost instantly to the currency they chose.

Thanks for your suggestions!

I totally agree with you on instant/fast cashing out. This will be my main focus actually, since I feel games should be quick and the rewards instant.

I've got a semi-large amount of capital behind this and I'm thinking a pool of 1,000 btc to start with, just so I don't run out the first day and can spread out over a period of time. However, I'll be capping our bets, as this is still a small operation. As it grows larger, it'll take larger bets.

In the meantime, I'm aiming to create a gambling service that's reliable and does what it's supposed to do: entertain the user, pay out as fast and as much as possible (without going broke) and stay online & ready to rock. I want to be here for the long-term, I'm not looking to be one of those fly-by-night services... my inspiration is S.Dice because of how resilient they've been.

Let me know your thoughts!

I don't gamble so I would want a service that just let me watch everyone else gamble - like a real casino.

When I was 16 I managed to get into the local casino and won $42 dollars after putting a couple $1 coins in a pokie machine. I figured if I stopped gambling at that point I would be able to brag that my lifetime gambling winnings were roughly forty times and that I have never lost!

And here I am cashing in on the story once more. It's been good value Tongue

The hookers, lottery etc though - all good!

I lol'd - great story!

Thanks for the suggestions guys - I've got a couple ideas in mind right now... so far I'm leaning towards:

- SatoshiDice alternative
- Blackjack
- Betting site for various bets (sports, events, etc.)

I read each and every post, so please keep them coming! Thanks Smiley

I will have to figure out how to blackjack, but I like the idea of it!

As for hookers... That's a given!

I have no idea what happened to betbtcnow, but he hijacked my thread and then proceeded to scam people... So idk.

Have you tried contacting them directly to see what's going on? I think that'd be your best bet. Good luck!

Hey fellow newbies,

A warning about the BetBtcNow.com guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178535.0

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I greatly appreciate it! Please keep them coming. I bought a domain today and I'm getting to work on a design as we speak. I'm also working with a close friend to develop the gambling service. He's very new to cryptocurrencies, as am I, so we may start with something simple like S.Dice. How would you like to see that improved upon?

BetBtcNow.com: Your site sent me to Intuit?

Cool!

Needs to have sports - including those off the map like tennis, mma, racing, golf?

Tight odds - low vig

Affiliate program

Mobile site

Promotions for frequent users

What makes it better than the 5 or so out there already?

Quick payout / low minimums / high maximums

Simple to get to lines - all lines displayed on single page?

I realize these are all based on sports! I think regular casino games are cool too just not my thing!

http://betbtcnow.com

Sounds like you are describing our site.  Some of your requirements we have already, such as:

Tight odds - low vig ( Best odds, lowest vig anywhere on the net)

Quick payout / low minimums / high maximums (We pay out within 15 minutes of end of game, and usually as soon as whistle goes.  Last night we paid out Oakland in the bottom of the 9th.  We are on the ball.  We have a low minimum, and right now our max is 3btc, but we can go higher if contacted before placing bet.  I am constantly on the email personally, to respond to any questions!)

Simple to get to lines - all lines displayed on single page? (Everything on page 1, no need to be clicking all over the place)

We are working on Mobile friendly, and also working on upgrading our website.  That will take a bit of time, but we feel having the best odds and lowest vig, plus fastest payouts and immediate email responses are way more important.  We had a customer whose wallet did not show his winnings, we made sure we were able to fix the issue for him before we did anything else.  (He needed to sync his wallet.  We sent winnings within 5 minutes of game ending, and he saw his winnings as soon as he synced)

We are also working on an affiliate program and promotions, but since we allow you to be completely annon, it will be something we will have to look into.  We did run a special where everyone who bet yesterday received an extra 10% added to their wager.  We will do this every now and then in the future also.

Also, we will add any type of line for any sports out there.  If it is not listed, send us a quick email using the contact form on the site, or PM here, and I will get you the odds and list it on the site for betting ASAP.  Usually takes like 5 minutes.  We listed the Over/Under for the LAC/POR game tonight for a customer.  We are here to serve.

Check us out.  If you need a higher limit to bet, message us.  If you have any questions or want something listed to bet that you dont see, message us too.  Thanks for looking.

I find CampBX + Dwolla a fast'ish, simple and secure combo.

could you please explain a bit more ...how this works etc ? TIA

Hi Coincrazy, basically what you do is sign-up at: https://campbx.com/main.php, which is an exchange (like Mt.Gox).

They accept Dwolla, which can be signed-up to here: http://dwolla.com/

Dwolla accepts direct bank transfers, like Coinbase.

OH! Another place to buy from is Coinbase, but the only problem is that they limit you to 10/day until you hold your BTC for 30 days. Upon which they'll raise your limit to 50/day.

I hope that helps!

Does anyone have any inkling as to why prices dropped so low?
14  Other / Beginners & Help / New BTC Gambling Service? What would you want? on: April 16, 2013, 07:16:50 AM
Hi guys,

I'm looking to create a new BTC gambling business because the possibilities of that type of business really interest me. I'm not sure what exactly to make yet, but I am reading up the Gambling section and taking in as much knowledge as possible. I know there are a lot of gambling services out there already, but I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions or inputs as to what you'd like to see created or improved upon.

Here's what I'm thinking:

A simpler, faster payment game like SatoshiDice? A "better" version of SD perhaps? At the moment, I can't make anything insanely complicated, which is why I'm leaning towards a SD-like game to start off with. Also, I really like the concept of the game and I felt evoorhees and fireduck did a great job on it. I don't want to make just another clone, I'd like to make something better based off of the original concept and improve upon it and I really need your help!

I'm looking at a 4-week turnaround time for the site, complete with functional code and clean, beautiful design. Something that the bitcoin community would really enjoy going to and being proud of.

Let me know your thoughts! I appreciate each and every single response. Thanks a bunch!
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How hard would it be to set up a store that accepts Bitcoin only? on: April 16, 2013, 06:53:46 AM
I don't think it's all that hard to setup the physical bitcoin-only store. Your main problem would be to gather those customers who have the bitcoin to physically go in and buy at your store... Which is why it's probably better to have online sites start taking bitcoin and making it a more popular payment method first, then once it's more widely used start looking into physical shops.

Just my 2 satoshis.

Hi!

I'm new to posting on bitcointalk, but I've been reading and following bitcoin for a few months now. I'm looking to build a bitcoin business with seed capital that I'm securing from my previous ventures. I'm still brainstorming and learning more about what the community needs and I'm open to ideas and suggestions from other forum members (I'd greatly appreciate it!)

Thanks for having me!
