so who has started mining back here again Huh

Well I just joined and I am a totally ignorant, but learning.  I joined this pool because they were 2nd place in some list of pools I seen searching the Google...  I am using 2X 7970's in xfire and getting about 620 M/Hs with each card.

I started mining last night (near 20 hours now of mining) and I still see a 0 balance on the dashboard of 50BTC, though I see they accepted 16526 shares (even though GUI miner states I have mined 16092 shares off one card and 15284 shares off the other card)...  and I still see a 0 coin balance...  (I would of thought to see at least see 0.0000001 balance?  Please let me know what you all think... I am still a newbie at this.. should I move on with all this negativity here on this pool?

Face

To make a long story short, this pool was once the 2nd largest pool indeed.

Then, if I recall well it was about mid-October last year, all coins were lost by the pool, they said they were hacked.

A lot of users have lost confidence and never came back. The hashing power on this pool has now become anecdotic and if you are new here I would suggest mining on other, larger pools to start, e.g. BTC Guild is easy to use and you can even use PPS payout if you want coins immediately (I would suggest PPLNS in the long run though). It's generally rude to post this in a pool's thread, but I think these are special circumstances.

As far as I'm concerned, 50BTC refunded me part of my balance and I appreciate their efforts. There are however still many users reporting their balance staying at zero despite mining, so I would use caution. I haven't tried myself yet.

I've pointed a FEW miners at the pool and still it wont change my balance..... still a scam IMO
PPLNS arrives with ZERO pool fee for existing users!
31.01.14 20:00:00
As promised we have implemented PPLNS payment model! It is more profitable for miners in the long run, and has ZERO pool fee for all our existing users. Read more
Maybe they changed payment model to pplns already?

Now GPU is too weak for mining bitcoins so I have started to mine LTC instead

So it's a bit curious now how they were able to recover you funds without any informations given from your side.

Many here already posted their mining hardware, screenshots, logs etc. and get nothing refunded.
It's nothing against you, I really just wonder how they got your profile without the old database (which is lost..).
Well my guess is that some data is able to be recovered by itself while the majority can only be recovered with the infos people posted?

13.01.14 08:23:35   0.01193104   Balance   finished   Balance correction. Support operator 2.
Yep they are doing something although I never requested, I even said they could just clear my data as I don't have much in the account...
I have faith in them as they really sent me a 7950 after the competition.

Sorry but from where did they get you Account Balance? Did you provided them any informations of your mining hardware etc.?
I provided them with nothing.

What they are doing is literally robbery and they should be dragged to court.

Good luck with that... especially when your lawyer will ask you about the ToS.

This doesn't mean that it's okay that they don't refund the money, I lost about 1 BTC myself from my account so obviously I'm not happy with it. But the most efficient way not to get ****ed again is just to set the auto payout threshold as low as reasonable (i.e. at least once every day).

A lawyer will say you, that the TOS are not lawful.
They will also ask you if the TOS were published to the Date when registered. And every Screenshot says "no".
In german rights: you have to announce every change of a TOS and send every customer an e-mail or a mail by postial services. The customer got now a 4 week "Sonderkündigungsrecht". When the customer say nothing the new TOS will become lawful.

So their first mistake: They didn't announce the ToS so there will be no ToS.
Second mistake: German webserver, German Translation, so designed for german customers --> german law (really i am not kidding, but it's only useful for my case (if you are not germans))
third mistake: no ToS on the date i registered (some screenshot as evidence)
fourth mistkae: no communication, no recover of the funds...

any court or any lawyer would confirm what i say.
wayback machine will be able to confirm that the ToS was not there on the day of registration as well.

9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! [BONUS FOR TRANSLATORS] on: May 07, 2013, 07:14:04 AM
It is good quality, but based on my opinion some can be further optimised. Like "coupon" is translated as“优惠劵” which have an explicit meaning of "coupon for discount". It can be better translated as “礼券” which have a more general meaning of coupon, no matter a discount or other(for example in peerbet.org, credits).

If you don't care about these, then never mind, won't have any great impact on the usage. If I can get like 0.1 BTC or something for refining that and you care about the ultimate accuracy of the terms, then tell me. I'd really like some btc  Roll Eyes

mining earns okay. one week=one translation(0.1btc) at 450 MH/s. Daily earning slightly Below the old legal minimum wage of indonesian workers(2.36 USD) Tongue but I'm not working, lol.

Also why not deploy it first, to see how it looks? Should be able to fit inside, because the lengths of Chinese words(and phrases) are generally short.
I have uploaded this locale to the server, so you can try it here https://peerbet.org/?lang=cn
As you can see, it has many non-translated words and FAQ not translated at all. I will be thankful if you correct it.

Also I have updated encoding, so you can download this locale as well as original English on http://peerbet.org/download/locale.zip
Okay , I may try correct those when I have time. Having mid year exams right now Smiley

AAAAnd F that newbie restriction. I'm late by few days. May I have a look at the Chinese locale please?
Locale is here: https://mega.co.nz/#!ph01DLzA!VwY3dlAGCH1T58J_Pm2LDz_4XKpX3a_bPtyewylij40
Someone already proofread it, so I think it is good quality. The problem is that Chinese writing is significantly different from latin and cyrillic, therefore don't fit into site layout in many places.

Only difference is that each Chinese(and Japanese, Korean) character takes the space of two Latin or Cyrillic characters.

Is there anybody translating it to Chinese yet? If not, I can help to translate.
We already have Chinese locale, it was just still not deployed.

13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Having a hard time setting up guiminer on: April 27, 2013, 03:55:26 AM
Maybe you have to set the path to external application in guiminer? Is there a command line miner exist called CUDA miner? Or is it inbuilt to the guiminer?

Hm that seems like it'd be an odd requirement to not be mentioned in the program itself doesn't it? The CUDA miner option is built in to the interface of guiminer, it's legitimately under File, New Miner.
the guiminer only come with poclbm, it is like a command line invoker. it knows the command line for other miners, but to use them , you have to download them yourself.
the default path is \guiminer\miners\puddinpop\rpcminer-cuda.exe. you have to look for rpcminer cuda on the internet yourself.

okay i have to set a environment variable in windows.
This is the answer
but approximately how long it takes to find a block for a speed of 600Kh/s?
15  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Motherboard for 4+ GPUs on: April 26, 2013, 05:45:33 AM
PCIe x1 -> x16 Adapter Extender Cable w/ Molex Connector (Back-Ordered)
$17.50

Wow they are expensive. There has got to be a better place.
Get ASUS M5E or P8Z77-V Premium. Those board can play games and have 4 PCIe slots But for mining dedicated ASIC and FPGAs are better and cost effective than GPU right?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XFX R7950 LTC mining-how to setup? on: April 26, 2013, 05:36:45 AM
Like can anybody tell me the optimum command line to use to start CGminer with AMD Radeon 7950 card? If I solo mine how long would it take to find one block?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XFX R7950 LTC mining-how to setup? on: April 26, 2013, 05:34:48 AM
I have 16 GB of system memory and 3GB  of GDDR5 memory.

Hey guys, so sorry that my first post on the forums is due to a problem I'm having but I'm pretty stumped :/

So I have the 2012-11-18 version of guiminer and I'd like to mine on my gtx480 in the BTC Guild (using the US-Stratum server). All my video card drivers are up to date. When I attempt to mine with the default setting (CPU Affinity left all blank except for the first core) and the correct username, etc. I get "NameError: name 'OpenCLMiner' is not defined" in the lower left corner and am continually stuck at "Starting..." on the right corner.
When I make a new CUDA miner (I downloaded CUDA from Nvidia this morning as well), I keep all the setting the same, but when I click "Start mining!" nothing happens at all. The button is depressed, but the status at the bottom right still reads "Stopped" and I see no change in the window.

I've searched a bit about the the NameError (though I obviously still couldn't solve the issue), but haven't really been able to find anything about the CUDA miner issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Maybe you have to set the path to external application in guiminer? Is there a command line miner exist called CUDA miner? Or is it inbuilt to the guiminer?

You might have to tell people the spec of your rig. However I can't help.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / XFX R7950 LTC mining-how to setup? on: April 24, 2013, 06:11:06 PM
Hello, please refer to this topic
Is it effective to solo mine, and approximately how long do you have to wait to find a new block with that card and a i7-3770K CPU OCed to 4.2GHz?
Thank you.
