2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: November 02, 2017, 06:19:17 AM
From all indication, bitcoin is gradually dancing its way to usd10k. Since I started this article a couple of days ago, it has gained more than usd1000. If this pattern is maintained, then bitcoin will be more than usd10k by end of year. Bitcoin is literally on fire...
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: October 28, 2017, 05:07:20 AM
From various post and contribution, the general agreement is that price will rally, maybe within a chanel of USD7,000 to 10,000. If this happens, this will be a very significant milestone, considering that a few years ago bitcoin was at floor level after the Mt Gox fiasco. It is our hope that this sort of catastrophe does not happen again....We need sustain confidence building for bitcoin continuous global adoption.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: October 27, 2017, 07:28:46 PM
Am thinking there will be a reactionary significant rally after the November fork...when some stability would have set in.

Investors hate uncertainty!
5  Economy / Speculation / Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: October 27, 2017, 07:23:03 PM
Am I being overly optimistic? The trajectory is looking very real!
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: October 26, 2017, 03:44:36 PM
Bitcoin can survive for longer. As long as there is massive adoption then its usage will become versatile amongst people.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: October 26, 2017, 03:26:43 PM
Its totally possible that bitcoin is having an unfair share of bad press. Criminals will always find a way to hide their nefarious engagements. Studies have shown very minimal usage of bitcoin by crime organizations for funding illicit activities.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Malta is trying to regulate cryptocurrency?? on: October 26, 2017, 03:20:39 PM
Every country will try to moderate or regulate bitcoin as much as they can, sometimes for selfish reasons. but bitcoin will grow significantly in the next couple of years.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do we keep converting bitcoin back to dollars ? on: October 26, 2017, 03:10:33 PM
Well, the simple truth is that until bitcoin gains wider acceptance, you will still need fiat currency to pay for your everyday needs. So people will always have to convert bitcoin to government issued money for this simple reason.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really secure? on: October 26, 2017, 03:01:00 PM
Bitcoin is probably the most secure payment instrument available now as long as you have control over your wallet and private keys.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: what you think about bitcoin in like 5 years? on: October 26, 2017, 02:50:50 PM
Bitcoin will assume a higher level of importance, and a wider number of the world's population would  have adopted and use bitcoin in the next five years. My projection is that about 100million people will become active users at that future time.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some government ban bitcoin? on: October 26, 2017, 02:43:39 PM
Certain government ban of bitcoin is to protect their fragile economy. However, this is certainly a temporary thing. As knowledge grows their attitude will change.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The best way for newbies to buy bitcoin or ethereum on: October 26, 2017, 02:34:38 PM
My honest suggestion is that all newbies should look for reliable bitcoin platforms where they can first of all learn and gather as much information before they take the plunge. Don't fall victim to scammers because you are in a hurry to get in. Arm yourself with information, for it is power!
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I buy bitcoin now? on: October 26, 2017, 02:23:46 PM
No one can point to any specific time where it is deemed to be right to buy bitcoin. One thing for sure, if you don't get in now, you will be buying at a higher price at some point in the future. It will always dip, but the trend remains consistently upwards.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: October 26, 2017, 02:15:57 PM
Everything changes in the world, and we are also changing with them. It is worthy of note that before the 2009 advent of bitcoin, there were various attempts at cryptocurrencies. Just like bitcoin came and changes everything, it is plausible to envisioned that there will be some future cryptocurencies that will emerge as serious competition to bitcoin. I am seeing bitcoin becoming more of an asset class in the future, more like gold and other form of investment assets.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: October 26, 2017, 02:08:29 PM
Bitcoin provides superb convenience and reliability  which is very attractive to most people in making purchases. Besides, since its decentralized technology does not permit any central government control, it can be used as a means of exchange across various national boundaries.

BOLENUM PROJECT

Background
The creation of cryptocurrency in 2009 was a technological revolution. In the
eight years since, cryptocurrency now accounts for over 40 billion dollars of newly
created wealth, not to mention the massive gains made in productivity, security, and
combatting the increased centralization of power in our world. Bitcoin was the first
cryptocurrency to be released but it was followed by myriad others.
One of these new coins, Ether, rose above the rest due to its superior design,
faster data processing speed, and its diversity of uses. Ethereum builds off of the
beauty of bitcoin's blockchain with a flexible, turing-complete language that supports
"smart contracts." Ethereum's smart contracts support the creation of tokens that can
run on its blockchain. These tokens can be used as their own currency with various
exchanges, or can act similar to shares in a company and can allow for voting rights,
provide dividends, or perform many other tasks and open a massive window of
opportunity.

Sadly, cryptocurrency has not been evenly adopted. Certain regions, particularly
the global south, have not tapped into this opportunity. That is the very issue that
Bolenum aims to address.

The Issue

Cryptocurrency and blockchain technology have not seen an even global
adoption. Certain regions, such as Asia, both eastern and western Europe, and North
America, have seen widespread adoption whereas the rest of the global south has not
adopted blockchain or cryptocurrency to the same degree. These regions, and in
particular the African continent, are missing out on the huge opportunity that
cryptocurrency presents for wealth building and supporting new and better technologies.
There are multiple roadblocks to African participation in cryptocurrency. The first
reason is a lack of publicity and knowledge around cryptocurrency. There is less
literature written in local languages and fewer people are aware of this technology.
Sadly, even for those who are aware it is difficult to get involved. That brings us to the
second issue, frequent difficulty with exchanging local fiat currencies for crypto. Many of
the largest exchanges do not accept African fiat currencies and some do not even allow
registration for citizens of many African nations. This lack of knowledge and lack of
access combines to form an almost insurmountable barrier for many. While some small
marketplaces have sprung up to attempt to increase access and allow a venue for
African fiat to be traded, they do not yet provide the scale or level of security and
convertibility that this market needs to be fully integrated into the cryptocurrency trading
world.

This continent needs information and access, on a large scale and immediately --
and that is exactly what Bolenum aims to provide.

Our Solution

The Bolenum project will provide the first ethereum based token and exchange
system that is explicitly aimed at increasing African participation in cryptocurrency. The
main aspects of this project are the Boleno tokens, the innovative and secure exchange
system, and a flexible wallet system.

The Boleno Token

The Boleno token or BLN will serve as the currency of the Bolenum project.
These tokens act as a store of value and a secured payment instrument for
transactions. Using the Bolenum exchange, they will be exchangeable into local
African fiat currencies such as the Naira or foreign fiat currencies such as the US
dollar. The Boleno tokens will also be able to be traded on third party
cryptocurrency exchanges as well as the Bolenum exchange.

The Exchange System

The Boleno Exchange will combine the traditional exchange characteristics with
a marketplace twist where peer-to-peer trading as well as peer-to-central fiat
funding are available. Users will be able to withdraw Boleno into their fiat
currencies as well as buy Boleno directly with a wider range of African fiat
currencies than currently offered by any exchange. Traders are able to view
order books as well as historical performance data to be able to make informed
trade decisions. Boleno tokens will also be able to be traded on standard
exchanges as well. The Boleno BLN token is currently trading on www.coinexchange.io.

The Wallet System

Bolenum will provide a Bolenum wallet that is fully compatible with the Bolenum
exchange and that allows for easy withdrawal and purchase of tokens. Holders of
Boleno tokens can also use any wallet that supports Ethereum ERC20 contracts
which allows for flexibility for token holders to use whichever service they prefer
most.

The Bolenum Exchange is currently under development. Beta version will be released on 15/12/2017. Some pictures of the Bolenum Exchange under development are shown below:

I like coinexchange.io. I trade there all the time. It also gives room for new coins to grow. Also you can make a healthy profit if you make a bet on newly listed coins. One of such coins is PRN. It's a good buy.
