I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

Yes it will survive. From my opinion, bitcoin will survive because it is now part of our life. Its popularity and demand is rising. It's potential is unlimited. I think its a very good gift given to us and for the next generations as well. Though the price will get bigger and bigger, I think as long as we believe and as long as a person wants it, it will surely not die.

even it  survive only rich will use it Because price now about 6,000$ so when bitcoin number fixed and high Demand found price will be more than 100,000$ and fee will be so high (about 20$ for every trans)

I think many things are hard to guess for a long time up to 100 years, I think it will be difficult bitcoin can survive up to 100 years, little thing is a transaction problem that feels very slow and expensive.

Bitcoin can survive for longer. As long as there is massive adoption then its usage will become versatile amongst people.

I think it will as long as there are devs who continue to upgrade it for the need of the time and a strong community that supports it. I think no one among us now can live that long to witness it but I still strongly believe that bitcoin will be around for a long time. 

I believe that bitcoin will not only survive after 100 years, i believe that it will last more than that 100 years. As long as people or it's users continue to use it or pursue it. As time passes by, bitcoin continues to upgrade and improve it's services for it's users, that is why there is no reason for it to end it's life. Looking forward for more users for it's longer life.

Everyone in bitcointalk is hoping that bitcoin will last 100 years. If known bitcoin will survive 100 years. I will not hesitate to borrow more money to invest in bitcoin

Every currency has the ability to survive but the strongest will be the one who can adapt just like Charles Darwin said. As long as bitcoin will adapt to the changes in cyberworld and the needs of its user it is absolutely that it can be the greatest survivor. In fact many companies are being opened for the use if bitcoin and its name became a vjrus that spreads over different countries.

Maybe that will be the year where bitcoin is a fully pledged currency which is being used anywhere and wherever you are.
I would love to see that but we wont.
It can survive as long as there are people who are still behind it. It should be passed to the new generation again and again.

No 100 years are too long for a technology to survive, bitcoin will be replaced by another things that has more potential and newer technology. Although bitcoin has long term potential, but i only expect it around 50-70 yearw most.

in my opinion, when viewed from the increasing development of bitcoin at any given time, it is possible that bitcoin will probably run stable and in every country around the world, but, it is unlikely to survive for the next 100 years

What I think is that the "Bitcoin" that will exist in 100 years might not be recognizable to us as Bitcoin, or else another cryptocurrency that people who will be alive 100 years from now will have thought was more useful will have taken the top slot away from Bitcoin. Probably some of the basic concepts will survive, such as having an "international" and decentralized medium of exchange that is not dependent on banks or governments. But the system that wins out in the end may not go by the name of Bitcoin.

Possibly and more likely it will happen that bitcoin can survive after several years and even 100 years or more. If the modern technology will continue to grow and make further improvements for faster and easier access of bitcoin, it will be assured that even after a long time, bitcoin will still survive and can be passed into the next generations as long as the price will get into an attractive or let us just say big count which is beneficial, no wonder that many will continuously support it that will make it a way to survive many years from its existence.

I think bitcoin will survive beyond the next hundred years to come, because bitcoin is an assets just like gold and other valuable assets that have live the test of time. Bitcoin is here to stay a life time generations to come will use bitcoin beyond the next hundred years to come.

There is no argument about Bitcoin's durability, sturdiness, and robustness, however, we cannot neglect the fact that 100 years is a very long time. Anything can happen within that time and we cannot be sure if Bitcoin is still the dominating cryptocurrency or if cryptocurrencies still exist. We are not even sure if Bitcoin will still exist after 10 years or if it will be surpassed by another coin. All we can do is to hope that Bitcoin will stay even after 100 years. Though we are not around anymore at that time, it's still great for Bitcoin to reach that.

Some way upgraded version will be around in 100 years, and judging by the forks going on now there will be many different btc chains. If you just hold you'll end up coming out with some bitcoins that are worth something and others that are worthless.

For me, i don't need to survive bitcoin after 100 years, at least it should survive next 50 years is enough. Because I can't live more than 50 years. After this if it survives or not survive it will not affect to my life.

I very much hope the bitcoin will survive in 100 years. No one can predict the value of bitcoin after 100 years. My guess What is the price of it will be 50k-100k
