1  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: May 14, 2014, 10:33:13 AM
Hey guys just a post to let you know that I still haven't forgotten about the investigation but nothing else has happened since the last post.  It's out of my hands anyway.
If you want your theft to be investigated you should lodge your own individual report with your local police.

I'm pursuing this through the police.  I'll post updates in the thread below but it's a slow process.

Another update; the officer in Perth has done all she can and has passed the investigation onto the NSW Police (as that is the state TF resided in).  They have confirmed that the NSW Police Fraud and Cybercrime Squad will be investigating.  Hopefully they'll keep me updated and I'll pass it on here.

Brief update:

-The officer in charge of the investigation is preparing a statement for me to sign, however she's going on leave for 2 weeks so it'll still be a while.
-They have also spoken to NSW police and almost confirmed TF's identity to an appropriate level of confidence (as I'm sure you all understand the police can't take our word for it Smiley)
-There is still a bit of work to be done on their part but as I mentioned before it isn't high priority.  Rest assured progress is being made, just slowly. I still can't make any promises on what will happen next though.

I guess not much is going to happen for a couple of weeks but when I hear more you'll know about it.

Yeah I clicked on the link and the OP was the only person I'd ever ignored in these forums (not that I get around much though).

FYI guys I've still been following up on this.  The police are still waiting for responses from their inquiries (not uncommon apparently, especially when dealing with PayPal) and are relying on interstate and international resources as they don't believe TF resides in this country.
I've been told it's a low priority case and to 'remain patient'.  I'll be contacted if there's any development and will pass the info on.

Have I missed something important?  The share price has gone up pretty quickly over the last day or so.

Yeah guys I've still been following up with the police now and again but it's slow going.  Not much more I can do...
Occasionally I get some more info which I forward to them.

If anyone wants to send them something directly send me a PM and I'll give you the email address and reference number.

Yes I'm aware of that but the police have to confirm TF's identity to a higher degree of precision than us Smiley
They're working on it anyway.

FYI to anyone not following the CL lawsuit thread.  I've reported some further information to the police that I received from forum members.
At the moment they're waiting for information from third parties to confirm TF's identity that could take up to 45 days.

Things are going slowly but don't worry I won't forget about it Smiley

I've received a couple of PMs.  All information has been forwarded on.
14  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: January 16, 2014, 10:12:40 AM
I've received a response.  The WA Police are waiting on some information on a couple of accounts they believe TF uses.
If it is confirmed TF resides in NSW then the NSW Police will take over the investigation.

Does anyone have any further information on TF's identity such as mobile number, DOB, home address, anything?

It is also possible that BTC may not be seen as a legitimate currency that can be stolen in the eyes of the law, obviously if that happens then we're all screwed Smiley
15  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: January 15, 2014, 10:42:49 AM
I've been trying to email my contact at the WA Police for the last couple of days but haven't received a response.  I forwarded the email to their general email address a while ago so hopefully should get something back tomorrow morning when the office re-opens (it's 6:40 pm here now).
I haven't forgotten about it or been doing nothing, it's just that not much happens over the holiday break for a few weeks plus these things take time as I've said.
I will continue to update with any developments but don't expect them too often.
16  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders Script :: Bitcoin Bank (Borrow+Deposit) Software :: Demo Available on: December 15, 2013, 03:15:40 AM
It's been reported to the police.  There isn't much else to do but wait for their investigation.
17  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: December 13, 2013, 01:07:26 PM
I have no idea how long these things usually take, so I'll leave it up to those more experienced Smiley

I also have a reference number from the WA Police.  If anyone wants it send me a PM.
18  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: CoinLenders Lawsuit on: December 12, 2013, 10:11:14 AM
No it's in the hands of the police now.  There isn't much else to do but wait from my end.
I am following things up now and again to make sure we're not forgotten but nothing worth updating has happened yet.
These things take time... :/

Ok my BTC has been credited and withdrawn/confirmed.
Took a little longer than expected but I can't fault GDICE on their communication.
Thanks.

I've received a few reference numbers by PM, thanks guys.
All numbers received have been reported to the Western Australian Police.
