Only in the first half Italy's game was lovely to watch. But it wasn't convincing in the second half. If Albania played that half better then Italy might be in trouble. Italy won anyway maybe but they will need to play solid from the beginning to the end in the remaining group matches. None of Spain and Croatia is easy to defeat for them. Croatia started badly maybe but I expect them to collect themselves. I think Netherlands, Denmark and England all will win today.  Lewandowski is suffering an injury by the way and he isn't likely to play today for now. |

I agree with people who think Southgate shouldn't be England coach anymore if he fails in winning Euro 2024 as well.  So many years have been left behind but England have 0 title achieved. They have always had such an impressive squad in the meantime. But they just can't make it anyway. Unlike people who think Southgate is actually good, I think the opposite as a result. If you still can't win any title with such a team in nearly 10 years then you still have a long way to go to be called as a good coach. |

We are approaching to the end of the season and, more importantly, the championship race. That loss by Galatasaray in the derby match was a big surprise. Okan Buruk must have scolded his players after that lifeless "performance". They had better play way better considering that they lost their last 3 away matches against Konyaspor. Even one point is enough for the championship but a team like them should play for the win there. I have come across an interesting story in the Russian league. Dynamo Moscow were in the same situation with Galatasaray and lost on the final week and Zenit's win made them the champions. Fenerbahçe will hope for that to happen to themselves this Sunday.  |

Lewandowski still has 2 more years on his contract but he is 35 already. I must admit that his performance hasn't been that impressive in the recent two years. It is normal of course as he is old.
However I wonder if Barcelona is thinking of replacing him this summer. They say his replacement is Nunez for now. But it is just a rumour. What do you think? Who they should sign for the position to score more goals in a season? As Real Madrid is about to sign Mbappe soon, Barcelona had better have a good answer to that. Otherwise it is really very difficult for Barcelona to compete with this team at the same level.

I was really hoping for a Real vs. PSG final match in the UEFA Champions league. Unfortunately, PSG missed too many goal opportunities and Dortmund scored the winning goal for the second time. Mbappe is going to leave PSG after the end of the season and I think that the French team won't find a better player to replace him. Soon PSG will become a mediocre team, that won't have a big presence in the Champions League. A final match between Bayern and Dortmund would be totally unpredictable, and maybe the curse around Harry Kane will do it's job and Dortmund might win this tournament for the second time in history. A final match between Real Madrid and Dortmund will be very predictable. I think that Real will have 80% chance to win the trophy.
Dortmund were very lucky in defense in both legs honestly. PSG had a scenario just like this in the first leg too. In the match yesterday as well they got 4 shots coming back from the post.  I can't say Dortmund didn't deserve it as they also did their best. But one thing is sure that they had luck right beside them during the all matchup too. Now it is likely to be a Real Madrid - Dortmund final. I don't think Real Madrid would lose tonight. 2-2 might not seem like an advantageous score but the match today is at home, so... I agree about Mbappe by the way. After this result I don't think he would think of staying once again. |

Because he knows that the careers of the coaches have not been good with Manchester United recently. And it almost feels like anyone coaching Manchester United has found only problems recently. Problems that are not fixed. I guess a lot of problems are going to be fixed if Zidane joins the club. But even then it is going to take a lot of time. The situation that has been created is not going to be fixed quickly. Probably he wants to go to Manchester United because he wants to have good competition. Which is definitely not going to get in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich. So I would say that it does make sense. At least for a coach who is so competitive in mindset like him Competition is much higher in the Premier League and winning a championship there is more valuable as a result. I understand Zidane about using these words because of that. However he should get ready for a big challenge at Manchester United in that case. He won't have a great squad in his hand right away. He will need to ponder on how he can make this team way stronger. If he is okay with that then no problem. But I think Erik ten Hag is still likely to stay. I don't think he is the main problem. The squad is weak what can he do in this situation? |

Bayern Munich could have really won today if they were better at finishing. I mean maybe they scored 2 goals anyway but wasted a lot more than that especially in the 1st half. I wasn't expecting Ancelotti to start with a similar tactic to the last Manchester City match. I thought he would prefer a more attacking game here. At the end of the day Ancelotti got what he wanted though. 2-2 is a nice score to take advantage of home. Bayern Munich really have great players but Tuchel just can't do what he has in his mind exactly. I really liked Musiala and Sane today but it was still not enough for a win. |

Arda Güler finally found the chance he was looking for. Ancelotti gave him a chance in the starting 11 and he took advantage of it very nicely. He scored a goal today which became the winning goal for Real Madrid as well. I really admire this young lad's performance and I believe he has a big potential. However he needs this kind of chance more to maintain his development. Today Ancelotti preferred a full rotation by the way but still they didn't lose to Real Sociedad. I mean Real Madrid weren't even shown as the favourite side of the match by bookies. |

Juventus lost points once again... The last part of the season has been going on really terrible for them so far. We are quite near the end of the season of course so I guess Juventus wouldn't be that bad to lose their Champions League chance at least. Besides there is a Roma - Bologna game as well this week. An advantageous result in that one would be useful for Juventus. Roma - Bologna is going to be really lovely to watch. De Rossi has improved Roma's game quite much however Bologna have no joke on their Champions League chase either. Rather than betting on a side to win, I'd prefer BTTS for this match. |

Who would have thought that Girona would have more chances to play in the Champions League this season than any other team behind the 3rd place ranking? (Many members here were doubting my predictions in the early matches of this season) well, It wasnt an easy mission for them to keep up with the leaders having a humble team and coach as nobody was expecting the scenario for them, especially considering they held the 1st place in standings for quite some time before Real Madrid shifted things. Now, with only 8 matches remaining in LaLiga, I don't anticipate many changes or surprises in the standings.
I'm counting on Real Madrid to win the title this season. Barcelona wasted their chances with a shaky performance early on the season, however, they have made a strong comeback and have even reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
Moreover, I have noticed the performance of Spanish teams elsewhere this season hasn't been as impressive as their dominance in other leagues in previous seasons, did anyone notice that too?
Girona's rise in the La Liga is really difficult not to notice. They were able to finish the last season in 10th place but now they have made a huge progress. They don't have a very impressive squad compared to the biggest teams of the league now actually but the team effort is amazing. Besides despite not having one of the best squads they have some good talents in the squad. Probably Girona will lose some important players in the summer and this would be really bad for them if they qualify for the Champions League. But I guess they would make some decent transfers for the Champions League too. |

Even if Leverkusen push West Ham out of the competition I also think their job against Milan or Roma would be more difficult. I just wonder how their future performances will be first. Because if we see a similar football to the one in the Qarabag matchup then I would still have doubts about Leverkusen to reach finale. Otherwise Leverkusen can defeat all of these teams technically. Brentford really surprised people for this match, because many people predicted for Manchester united to defeat them with many goals in the first half to eliminate the pressure but the first half lead to draw 0-0. I think, Brentford really used home advantage to stopped Manchester united not to fulfill their plan in this match because despite the opportunity their players got from the match, Brentford defenders didn't allow them to use all those opportunity positively through out the 90 minutes. But the two teams use the extra time after 90 minutes to scored goal to draw the match 1-1, but Manchester united players where not happy the way the match ended up because they where thinking that Brentford will not equalized the goal at that point.
Unbelievable dominance by Brentford... There were a total of 31 goal attempts by them in this match. Manchester United already had defensive problems which was a fact. But I wouldn't still expect them to be this bad against Brentford. They couldn't answer in the same way. Somehow they were nearly winning but Brentford didn't let them by a life saving goal. Seeing both goals in the last moments of stoppage time was insane. After another point loss by Manchester United I think they won't even be able to finish in top 5. Such a horrible season you know... |

I think PSG can maintain a title series in the Ligue 1 even after Mbappe leaves. Because they will still have a much stronger squad than the other teams. Mbappe has had a huge role in the success of this team so far. But when he leaves they should learn to stay strong as a team as well. Mbappe's place would surely be filled with another player but it is really hard to predict who it would be.  Osimhen is the most speculated player for now. His play style isn't similar to Mbappe but he can contribute really highly with his scoring skills. |

You can't have a championship race with only a very good driver without a good car. But with a very good car and an average driver you can do this. For example I think Perez can collect the needed amount of points for a championship even if there isn't Verstappen ahead of him. He finished the driver standings in the 2nd position in the previous season. He managed to take the 2nd position after Verstappen in the first 2 races this year too.
