2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: lolMiner 1.0: Improved Beam Hash III and many other changes on: June 28, 2020, 04:50:13 PM
I get Nicehash error msg

"Connected to beamv3.eu.nicehash.com:3387 (TLS enabled)
Error: Handshake failed with message short read Lost connection to stratum server beamv3.eu.nicehash.com:3387 or server not reachable"

Vega 56, lol miner, mmpos. Any ideas? Nvidias can connect to the same pool and mine (miniZ).

First of all Nicehash BeamV3 currently only works for few shares ... then it looses connection since there are no buyers for BeamV3 yet Wink
Wait for the fork.

BUT:
My miner had an other bug with Nicehash, which is fixed with new lolMiner 1.01

Please load it here: https://github.com/Lolliedieb/lolMiner-releases/releases/tag/1.01

Changelog:
  • Improved performance of Beam Hash III on all 6G+ cards (by about 4-5%)
  •     Added 3G* / 4G solver for Beam Hash III
(* will not work in Windows 10 and some older AMD cards)
  •    Fixed an issue with mining Beam Hash III to NiceHash
  •    --tls now allowed to be used multiple times to configure it for each pool separately
  •     If found the miner will now load the user_config.json file per default again (fixes issues with minerstat)
  •    Fixed temperature and power monitoring for VII and Navi on Windows 10 (Fan speed may still be broken ... work in progress)

Trying RX470 4G with lolminer 1.01 on simplemining OS for Beam3, but getting "miner ended or crushed". Any help? Not enough memory or too old GPU?

Hello JCE!
I got issue with FX 8350. Got 2 fx8350 in different MB. One doing fine with this config

"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 1, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 2, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 3, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 4, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 5, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 6, "use_cache" : true },
     { "cpu_architecture" : "auto", "affine_to_cpu" : 7, "use_cache" : true },
]

But second one gives me error "Failed to allocate 2MB Large Page Scratchpad Buffer, using normal memory (slower)."
Same configs. Same UPlexa coin. Only difference is failed system have 4G ram and OK system got 16G ram. Is it a case or something else? Large pages are unlocked for both systems. Hashrate at monero v8 a same(~350H/s).

 Here is a log.

Hey JCE!

I`m mining with your CPU miner about 5 months. I got 2 AMD FX 8350. Picked v8 forks, as cryptonight heavy looks bad for my cpus.
I`m getting about 300-330h/s on 7 cores(keeping 1 core for GPUs). Do you think it`s better to switch CPUs on light or some other algo for better efficiency?

Thanks!

Hello! How it`s going with monero v8-9 fork  with AMD fx-8350?

I`m doing 340-370h/s with criptonight v7 with 2.4.7 version, but with current 2.5.1 I`m getting error with a same configs. Here is an error screen http://prntscr.com/l7r0xx

Here is my cpu.txt config, using only 7 cores from 8. GPU mining turned off.

"cpu_threads_conf" :
[
{ "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : false, "affine_to_cpu" : 0 },
{ "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : false, "affine_to_cpu" : 1 },

{ "low_power_mode" : false, "no_prefetch" : false, "affine_to_cpu" : 6 },

],

It was working well at all previous algos.

Also I have issue mining with AMD GPUs rx470/570 with this version. It shows me a same error with thread 0 config even if cpu mining turned off.

Any help?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Easy to use GPU MINING Operating System on: October 01, 2018, 12:13:58 PM
@tytanick

Is it still support R9 280 cards? It was working great about a year, but 3 hours ago it looks like my power got down and when I come back rig can`t start. I see it`s offline in rig list. When attaching monitor it stuck at loading and saying something about SPA drive.

What should I check? WHat kind of OS should I load/update? I remember year ago there was a different image from RX and R9 series and now it`s only RX.

 Thanks!

EWBF Cuda Equihash Miner v0.1

Greetings!
This is the initial release of a new miner for Equihash algorithm.
It is based on my last Zcash miner and almost completely repeats it.
Now closer to the topic:
*  Parameter "solver" is disabled.
*  Solver for equihash 200,9 has been deleted.
*  Solvers for Equihash 192,7 and 144,5 has been added
*  Added timestamps in the output to the screen and to the log file.
*  Argument --algo is added, allow you to select Equihash variant allowed two values 144_5 and 192_7. This parameter is mandatory.
*  Argument --pers is added, allow you to set personalization string (8 charachters) for equihash algorithm. This parameter is optional. Equihash by default uses the string "ZcashPoW", many other coins also use this string, but not all, some coins use their own string, and these are all differences, so for some coins, you need to set the --pers option to the required string, for example, Zero coin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3310714  uses the string "ZERO_PoW" and for mining this coin you need to pass arguments --algo 192_7 --pers ZERO_PoW ....
Fee is presented and by default 2%, argument --fee is presented too.

Expected performance:
144_5 uses ~2.2GB vram
 1060 6G ~20S/s
 1070    ~30S/s
 1080    ~35S/s

192_7 uses ~2.9GB vram
 1060 6G ~12S/s
 1070    ~18S/s
 1080    ~20S/s

Please note, that this is initial release, and it can be baggy or incompatible with many coins or pools.
Miner compiled with cuda 9.1 for x64 linux and windows. Support devices with compute capability 5.0 and higher.

Any chance to make it working?

Nevermind! With a last nvidia driver it`s working with gtx 970 8-10sol. Thik will work with 1060 as well, because a same driver.

Thanks a lot!

So I managed to connect to fairpool.
Some stats. For GPUs used claymore 11.2 and 11.3. For CPUs  xmr-stak

rig 7x 470 - highest reported by pool 5Khash, but mostly shows 2-3K. Claymore report 5555 hashs.
rig 3x570+480 - highest reported by pool 2Khash. Claymore report 3060 hashs.
rig 4xR9 280 - Claymore report 2150 hashs.

2x AMD FX8350 30-800 each. Miner reports 200-390 hash.

In total all these together reports 4-8K hashes by fairpool. And should be closer to 10-11K if follow miners reports.

Pretty strange.

Profits is a joke if fairpool calculation correct. Could get much more before the fork.

https://pool.sumokoin.com are banning my IP or I get shares rejected.
xmr-stak for CPU mining just say my IP banned
xmr-stak for AMD says I`m rejected shares(low diff), but I`m using 5555 port for hi-end hardware(7x470).

Hey folks!
I`m using 2x AMD FX8350 to mine ETN with xmr-stak cpu. It was fine a few months ago. Switched to mine sumokoin then and now I back to ETN mining. But my miner keep closing at 1st rig and closing with fatal error on 2nd rig. It can crash in 1 or 5 hours, but it crash at same time on both rigs and this rigs stays in a different cities. Claymore keeps mining eth without problem. And when I mine sumokoin with a same miner and setups(7 of 8 cores) it`s doing fine. Using easyhash.io pool. Any ideas why it`s crashing?

There is a fairly newer version of xmr-stak that now has no fee, have you tried it. It runs fine on my 'everyday' PC but at a lower hashrate than Claymore.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2783886.0

I've had problems with xmr-stak crashing, on startup, on 2 different rigs but working OK on 3 other rigs, unfortunatley never figured out why xmr-stak kept crashing, so was forced to use Claymore's CryptoNight miner.

Thank you! Looks interesting. Will test it later. But for now I want to get why it start crashing with ENT. Could be it the pool problem or network?

4. We mentioned the use of both the Equihash/Ethash as a cross-chain approach and how the masternodes (which Zencash doesn't have) would be used as the POS for the Ethash chain.

5. Additionally, we mentioned that in regards to Zencash and other cryptocurrencies, we will be fundraising and donating back to the community of which we will have a vote on as a community (this donations page will be live any day now).

If anyone would like screenshots and proof of our conversation, please PM me and I will be happy to oblige.

Thank you and have a great day,

Mount Weather, I sent message with wishing good luck if you doing a real project, but I didn`t even see this message, because I was kicked from your discord channel. If you didn`t kick me, then some one else kicked me.

So you have 2 devs, one of them a founder stated at your site as a businessman/trader/miner and a manager. So he have time for everything. Which mean he have no time for real developing. In addition he spending a lot of time in discord. Just to prove my point he is not developing atm and probably in the future.

To everything else it`s just a shit talking. Ppls have to believe you, while I showed the facts and shady moves in this project. Honestly, every smart person should stay away from premined projects these days. Don`t want to spend more time for this scam.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEL] Zelcash : INNOVATIVE-INTELLIGENT-INSPIRING Cryptocurrency - zkSNARKs on: February 03, 2018, 08:57:15 AM
This post just to worn you about a scam project detected. But do your own research if you don`t want to loose your money or mining time.

Just to be clear I`m from a zencash community. I decide to check what is zelcash and why it looks like a copypast from zencach(ffs they only changed 1 sign in the name).

So I started from zel site.  Nothing better with a site - looks like a copy of https://zensystem.io/ A pretty same design, same fonts and even their logo looks a same(at least for me) - 3 attached cubic elements.

Then I looked at technology. And again a same things - private messages, masternodes and finally something original in whole project - crosschain. No real names in team, only nicknames. Good way to hide when you plagiarism something. And of course great for exit scam.

Entered to their discord. Started with simple question "Why it`s called zelcash and is there any hidden message behind it". Got funny kiddish answers from a founder and co-founder "because we like it" and "it easy to pronounce". Zero imagination.

Then asked what the difference with zencash. Got answer about a crosschain and this
Quote
Zencash takes a % of the mining fee, 2% more dev fund. They are not utilizing a cross-chain approach, and last but not least, they do not incorporate masternodes (meaning that they will have more of the coin in circulation, which means that each coin is worth less). Having masternodes ties up coins and takes them out of circulation for the time-being while helping to verify transactions and keep the network secure.

This info is not a true(same as info about zcash funding they`re spreading). Because ZEN doesn't actually have 8.5% in treasury. We forked off ZCL so first million coins and some more weren't taxed at all. Furthermore in % to total supply we have even way less; whereas premined coins get % of total supply. 1 761 000 * 0.085 = 149 685 / 21 000 000 = 0.7% of total supply

Then I saw info about zel have premine 6.2%. It`s not like zcash or zencash getting slow funding over time making devs to work hard all the time to push project forward. In zel case they will be able to cashout pretty fast when they`ll get a decent price after getting some exchanges.

So after all this info I called them a scam project and was kicked/banned from the discord. And as was mentioned at this thread before a founder/co-founder clearing/changing their messages all the time. Pretty shady moves.

And they have only one developer. So he must be better then Vitalik is to do all this stuff they imagine in whitepaper. Keep in mind they have nothing ready outside wallets(that was copied from zcash/zencash). Zcash/zencash have a pretty big teams working on projects and it`s moving slowly because developing takes a lot of time and testing things.

To summ this up.

1. A clone looking project to https://zensystem.io/
-changed only 1 sign in a project name
-a same site design
-a close looking logo
-a same ideas

2. Premine 6.2% to not wait long/get rich fast.

3. No real names for founders and dev teams. No penalties/law issue after exit a scam.

4. Only 1 developer.

5. Spreading incorrect info about zcash/zencash funding to look better.

6. Shady moves in discord - deleting/changing messages, kicking/banning ppls.

7. 210M coins supply.

I`m pretty sure there will be other issues. It`s up to you to risk or not. But giving them a hashpower or buying their shitcoins you will keep supporting crypto scams making your and humanity future unclear. Cheers to all a real projects!
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.5.6 (Linux / Windows) on: December 06, 2017, 06:54:45 PM
This is a great miner show better hashrate than ewbf but for a while it crash for error like this:

illegal instruction or memory. The miner then stop,  I have to close it manually for it to run again even I put the command restart.

The dtsn miner does not have the function exit as ewbf .

If you can put the function in, it will be perfect. when miner got stop it will close itself and re-run again, save a lot of time for many rig

Auto restarting the miner will be most efficient update!!! Maybe adding an option in bat file/config will be better then default option.

In general it`s doing 5-8% more hashrate(reported by the miner) at gtx 1060 3G(mixed brands) and gtx 970 4G. Plus it doing better power efficiency(about 5-8%) and cards stay cooler with a same or better hashrate.
For 1060 3G 295-320 sol/s(core +100/+125Mhz and mem +200/+950Mhz).
For 970 4G 280-300 sol/s (core +125/+150Mhz)

P.S.: Great work! Keep it up!

Without marketing will be hard to be better then coins which are now more popular like dash, zcash, monero. Zencash is better then all these 3 but to win zencash need much better marketing than now is (very active).
Pr team doing just fine and for major success time is crucial. Nothing happens overnight and our goal is steady rise followed with increasing popularity. I believe that Secure Nodes will have main impact on popularuty of Zen.

By downloading the Storm Play app, 100 random users have a chance to win five $ZEN

Comparison with Monero or any other coin is not so relevant, as a said before, we are on the same side and our core views are similar but goals and approaches are different.
Oddly enough there is not much discussion here on the forum either. This thread should by now have reached several hundred pages.
Take as an example ETH and Dash. Dash has over 6k pages in Announcement thread and ETH has under 1000, by this analogy ETH should has at least 20k pages.. Wink

I was asking about Storm Play mentioned in Weekly update in youtube, but did`nt got answer at your channel. So can you explain me how to get any zencash from Strom or at least try it. Wasn`t lucky to join Storm ICO also Sad
Thank you! Great project and keep it rocking!

Hey Stormtoken!

I tried twice to register to crowdsale, but failed. I can`t understand why I was canceled. I use myetherwallet with some eth, loaded legit passport photo and my selfie with passport, and other info.

Is there any country bans or what?

Can I still buy some tokens at nov.7?

Thank you.

Yes there are indeed some restrictions on countries. Like China, New York city of USA etc. Which country are you applying from? You can get more info here: https://blog.stormtoken.com/storm-token-sale-terms-overview-e03be20b0959. Also the best thing is to contact the admins directly on discord.
Thanks! I`m from Ukraine. I didn`t found my country in their ban list that`s why I`m wondering. Don`t see any other requirements for ICO.

Hello friends!

I can`t sync my wallet. Actually it doesn`t look like it connected and synchronizing anything. It`s bin since month or a little bit more. But right now I want to fix it. Here is a printscreen with wallet.
http://prntscr.com/h1lhox

And I can`t found version of this wallet, but I found only one Sumo`s wallet installer (Sumokoin_Wallet-v0.0.1-b1.1-w64install).

 Can you help me please?

Nevermind, I just found at github this

Now, when I start the GUIWallet, it remains "Waiting for network synchronization" but at the bottom of the screen I can read the following message in red "Network: Disconnected 0/47476 (0%)". What can I do to synchronize the wallet? Regards!  —You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.Reply to this email directly, view it on GitHub, or mute the thread.
