@tytanick

Is it still support R9 280 cards? It was working great about a year, but 3 hours ago it looks like my power got down and when I come back rig can`t start. I see it`s offline in rig list. When attaching monitor it stuck at loading and saying something about SPA drive.

What should I check? WHat kind of OS should I load/update? I remember year ago there was a different image from RX and R9 series and now it`s only RX.

 Thanks!

@tytanick

Would you please add an x21i miner such as this one, for mining the x21i algorithm?

New CCminer variant!

https://github.com/SUQAORG/ccminer-x22i/releases/tag/v1.0.0

I would very much like to turn my mining rigs towards this algorithm, but need the miner software in SMOS beforehand,

thanks!

hiveos gave to use the x22i, just add new miner and add the git link. missing this feature in smos Angry

Yes for 280 R9 there is separate image.

When it will start mining please make reload action as it will trigger another 10 updates.
It should finally update to newest.

P.S - if it stopped working, check what you see while it is booting.
Pendrives or risers are the most common cases of any problem Smiley

Thanks!
You mean to receive changelog via emails ?
I do not prefer that communication channel but i will think about it and about telegram changelog.
Right now we are releasing on facebook
https://www.facebook.com/simplemining.net/?ref=br_rs
So if you are using it you can add it somewere.

I totally understand your reluctance to use emails, I have the same about Facebook  Wink

Maybe having small bubble notification about updates on the dashboard when you log in would be an option, or maybe something looking like this: https://ibb.co/n4sede

Thanks for your awesome work!

I have a mix of RX480 + RX580 cards on my Asus b250 mining expert, 10 cards in total. 8GB RAM, some cheapo intel CPU. 2x 1200Watt power, SMOS on SSD.

I have a hard time setting the clock values on all of the cards.

http://oi65.tinypic.com/14diumv.jpg (just some values for testing)

It then says some of my cards aren't RX cards. Also, the overclocking process takes at least an hour for it to complete.

============ Preparing miners =============
============ OVERCLOCKING =================
GPU0:
hhhhhhhhhVoltage table index 0: 800 -_ 950.
hhhhhhVoltage table index 1: 65282 -_ 950.
hhhhhhVoltage table index 2: 65283 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhhVoltage table index 3: 65284 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhhVoltage table index 4: 65285 -_ 950.
hhhhhVoltage table index 5: 65286 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhVoltage table index 6: 65287 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhhVoltage table index 7: 65288 -_ 950.
hhhhhhVoltage table index 8: 850 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhhVoltage table index 9: 900 -_ 950.
hhhhhhVoltage table index 10: 950 -_ 950.
hhhhhhhVoltage table index 11: 1000 -_ 950.
hhhhhhVoltage table index 12: 1050 -_ 950.
hhhVoltage table index 13: 1100 -_ 950.
hhhhVoltage table index 14: 1150 -_ 950.
hhhhSpecified memory state does not exist.
/root/utils/oc_dpm2.sh: line 113: echo: write error: Invalid argument
GPU1 isnt RX GPU, moving on
GPU2:
h etc etc etc...

In the end it also indicates some cards aren't RX cards, those are skipped and not overclocked. Leaving them at 300clock and 300mem speed.. (which is their idle state)

Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

EDIT: nvm, for some miraculous reason today it booted normally and overclocked worked as a charm.. No settings were changed, strange..
EDIT2: nope, it's doing it again... Overclock takes ages, some GPU's not recognized. Why?

Can someone suggest a good current miner for Ravencoin?  I was using, ccminer-todd1251-x16r-v2.2.5, but not getting anywhere close what Whattomine has estimated for my farm.

I am trying to set up this in order to mine on suprnova using simple mining, buy I can´t get the miner options right.

Could you post an example of a working one?
Thanks

something like...
-U random.user -P password stratum+tcp://random.user:x@bci.suprnova.cc:9166

Why is this wrong?
Thanks

Hi Tytanick,

Monero will fork on block 1685555 (that is approx Oct 18th) with a new algo 'normalv8'

I am using xmr-stak in SMOS.

Is the miner ready for new algo?

Thanks

For AMD GPUs try :

-G -P stratum+tcp://accountname.workername:x@bci.suprnova.cc:9166

For NVIDIA GPUs, remove -G

NOTE: For suprnova, you have to register an account with them and also create workers IDs.

every time i restart my miner (xmr-stak for mining LOKI), it removes the miner directory and also the config files (amd.txt). This way I can not edit the config file, as it will always delete and remake it.

Is there a work-around for this? I would love to change the gpu threads config.
