Without marketing will be hard to be better then coins which are now more popular like dash, zcash, monero. Zencash is better then all these 3 but to win zencash need much better marketing than now is (very active).

Pr team doing just fine and for major success time is crucial. Nothing happens overnight and our goal is steady rise followed with increasing popularity. I believe that Secure Nodes will have main impact on popularuty of Zen.

I was asking about Storm Play mentioned in Weekly update in youtube, but did`nt got answer at your channel. So can you explain me how to get any zencash from Strom or at least try it. Wasn`t lucky to join Storm ICO also

I think the marketing and development is doing a good job. It's just difficult to differentiate with so many coins focused on privacy nowadays and established tokens also building in privacy features.

Zcash was the first coin to use zk-ZNARKs, ZenCash has made a number of modifications to the system it has a different funding model - >



Zcash has Founders Reward (founders, developers) receive 20% of every block reward for the first four years, and the miners receive 80%. After four years, the developers percentage of the block reward drops to 10%.

Both systems can send secure messages via memo field. But for Zcash the maximum length is 512 bytes,  ZenCash has twice as long at 1024 bytes.

Secure nodes will improve network security and reliability and those nodes won't be like typical master nodes, all communication is encrypted using valid ssl certificate. Passive income 3,5% for running a node is a very attractive investment and for running node you only need 42+1 coins.

ZenCash works on Inclusive Governance – Governance with participation by all people involved in making ZenCash work – Zen Blockchain Foundation members, developers, owners of ZenCash, secure node operators, mining pool operators, exchanges. All people involved with ZEN are stakeholders, and owners of ZEN are encouraged to participate in governance to influence the direction of ZenCash.

idea, devs, support here are the best... but marketing is average. There are so many coins now on the market, so many news etc that marketing should be veeery active especially that you will introduce secure nodes. You should make huge marketing bomb now and say whole world why zencash is good, so safe etc. It should be everywhere - on blogs, portals, fb, many forums, newspapers, popular youtube etc. There were Palm Beach signal some time ago about zencash - marketing team should also tell people from whole world about this recommendation. Smart marketing team should take such opportunity and use it to make zencash much more popular.
I know everything needs time, not possible to make it during night but the only way to win now on market with hundrets od many coins, ICO etc - BE VEERY ACTIVE (in marketing).

You are completely right, team will focus all strength on PR, once when we release Secure Nodes.

We will have new logo very soon, check previous posts.

Till now we were focused on Secure Nodes and testings, now when we are completely sure that everything is ok and we can go mainnet we will increase all others activities including marketing and promotions. I hope you understand till now we only spread awareness about Zen, soon will start invasive PR campaign.

If you ever encounter this kind of error using Swing wallet here is instruction from developer how to fix it->

This problem (error: couldn't connect to server: unknown (code -1) ) typically happens if zend does not start properly. It may happen if there is a blockchain problem or similar. Please examine the debug.log file from zend (on Linux it is ~/.zen/debug.log, on Windows %APPDATA%/Zen/debug.log). This file usually shows the nature of the error.
One thing you may try to fix it, is to start zend manually from a terminal with a command like:
zend -reindex
and start the GUI wallet after that.

There is no exact date when will Secure Nodes be switched to mainnet. Currently we are in beta testings. Wait for next community update on Wednesday for more information.
