1  Economy / Lending / Re: Need very small loan. on: August 13, 2014, 01:52:57 AM
Okay, I'll do it.

I would like the conditions in your post as well as a quick chat to share your opinion on a website and a little bug I am experiencing. It shouldn't be very extensive and if you know what you're doing, the chat will probably be like 10 minutes. This may be favorable to you, as I will offer a positive public opinion on your development knowledge if you're able to solve the issue.

That does not replace the interest or repayment of the loan, though, which is marginal for a loan like this - which is why I included the above paragraph.

If you agree, please post your address and send me your Skype info.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are under 18's using Bitcoin? on: February 21, 2014, 08:17:24 AM
Why would it be illegal for minors to own bitcoin? What a ridiculous thought.

Also, there's a difference between what is illegal and what will actually get you in trouble. Having your parents use their identification to help buy you bitcoins isn't getting anyone in trouble and while legality is questionable, there's literally a 0% chance of it being a problem.

Of course, minors shouldn't be gambling bitcoins, but that's another story.

Remember, all of these laws are to protect minors. A minor who is signing a contract isn't doing anything wrong - the person who is having him sign it is the one who is the "bad guy." It's important to help minors turn into successful businessmen (while still protecting the ones who need protection) instead of turning them away.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is selling BTC for $100 on Gox and why? on: February 21, 2014, 07:50:10 AM
With all the shit going on, would you feel more comfortable with BTC in Gox or fiat in Gox?

You can take legal action if they mishandle one of those two things  Tongue

I think people are selling off their coins while they can for fear that Gox goes under with whatever they have in their accounts. At least with dollars there's a chance for recovery. You have to remember that the vast majority of Bitcoin owners have a collection of coins in the single digits. A lot of people with a few coins each man... it adds up.
I've heard this, but are you really 5.5 times more comfortable with GoxUSD than GoxBTC? You have to think that the odds of Gox failing and eventually paying back USD deposits is over 5.5 times the odds of them allowing BTC withdrawals again. The numbers just don't make sense to me, as I explained here.

If I had stuck funds, I'd totally be long GoxBTC at these prices. Just a 5% chance they allow BTC withdrawals likely has a much better EV than any liquidation scenario at 100 GoxUSD/BTC.
I agree completely. The only possible logical reason for not buying GoxBTC with GoxUSD right now is because you think the price is going to go even lower for GoxBTC (and plan on buying in later).

It's also possible that if Gox fails, they'll pay back a portion of both USD and BTC balances.

We added lower stakes for the main game to encourage participation, because it requires two players. Any feedback on the stakes for the mini game? Is a .001 BTC minimum bet too steep for people these days? If there's enough feedback, we'd be happy to lower it a touch.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How cryptocurrency is applicable to adult webcam? on: January 10, 2014, 02:04:24 PM
If you're going to use it for anything adult-related, you should check out Sexcoin. It's marketed directly as a coin for the adult industry.

You ought to get them to list you on the website. I definitely won't feel comfortable purchasing from you until that happens.

Edit: Looks like you are listed. I guess for once it's not a scam!  Smiley

Glad to hear it turned out okay for you (hey, losing the money gambling is better than getting ripped off). Gambling can get pretty addicting......believe me, I know.

10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Just watched The Wolf of Wall Street and bitcoins ruined it... [Spoiler] on: January 10, 2014, 01:52:42 PM
Could have also been avoided if they didn't pick the one Swiss banker stupid enough to get arrested in America. Swiss banks are still a good solution, but bitcoins have a pretty clear advantage: you're always in control of your money and if things end up badly, it will likely be your own fault rather than the fault of the banker.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: January 10, 2014, 01:48:34 PM
Yes once a day.  It is usually credited between 11PM EST and 6AM.  It seems that krill is credited for your play up till the time the krill is credited and not for a particular 24 hr period.

How is krill actually earned?  I know it's basically by rake paid, but is there a set formula that I missed on the promo section of the website?  And what is krill rank?  Is that the ranking of how many people have more krill than me?

Thanks for any help!

Krill rank is your ranking on the rake laddr. Example player has 66000 in krill and is ranked 66 means that lifetime he is in 66th place for rake accrued for the site. Krill is earned thru rake I believe the formula is indeed under promotions and you missed it/

How much exactly is the rake at all levels well from .5 .10 to 1 2 iincluding  hu?  I split a pot in 10 chip plo and had over a chip rake with another player at six seat table . Pretty high imo.

Not sure whether or not this is exactly what you're looking for, but here is the rake info on their website

Hi b!z,

I saw that you posted on our thread awhile ago, but have not written a review about Addictive Liar's Poker. If you have a chance, I think a review of our liar's poker game would be a good addition to your website, as it's quite unique in the bitcoin community.

Great presentation, very impressive. You have a bright future ahead of you if you stick to it.

We have now added lower stakes, to allow players with smaller bankrolls to also experience the thrill of competitive liar's poker. Stay tuned for an announcement and a promotion coming soon.
16  Economy / Gambling / Re: ZeusDice.com - 0% HOUSE EDGE - EARN REWARDS - Launching Today on: January 05, 2014, 10:27:03 AM
Do we get a refund also if different amounts are bet with the same chance? For example, I lose 10 consecutive BTC0.01 bets and then I bet BTC1 and lose, would I get that BTC refunded?

All amounts will be refunded it just has to be in the same %chance. For example if you use the martingale system yout 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc.. will all be refunded.
So you're essentially saying that if this game is in fact fair, a smart player with a reasonably sized bankroll cannot lose?

There are so many ways to exploit this too. I can make min bets until I lose 9 times in a row, then do a max bet, knowing that even if I lose I will get this bet back. According to what you're saying, this is not a problem and you are perfectly fine with users doing this.

New approach to Bitcoin gambling.

You are free to play how you want to play. We do advise you don't play recklessly and only gamble what you can afford to lose.

You do realize though that someone playing using a Martingale system with enough bets to cover their original bet x 512 actually cannot lose?

You may also want to correct this on your website:

"Bets that are entitled for a refund are all 10 losing consecutive bets over 50% chance will be entitled for a refund. The bets must be of the same percentage chance. Example of this is 10 losing consecutive bets @ 50% chance."

So which one is it? Over 50% chance or a 50% chance or higher?

We are currently thinking of advertisements but that depends on traffic. We was trying to implement an investor section for users to use but we had a few bugs and just made an alternative. We cant sell player information as we have nothing to sell. Just their bitcoin address...

We are new and we are just seeing how things go for the next couple of weeks. Making customers happy, is our main priority and we dont expect to make a profit any time soon. Once we have more traffic and a better community of players with their trust gained we can start adding more stuff to our gaming system so we can eventually start to turn a profit.

Thanks for your concern.

And thank you for answering my questions!  So basically right now you're basically getting the kinks worked out and hope to pay your expenses with ads or new games in the future.  Thanks again!

Yeah pretty much. Our aim like i said was to get traffic and the only way we knew how to was to do something crazy. Something unexpected make everyone curious. A few dice sites out there which are pretty much the same so we had to just think about making the users time more enjoyable/profitable at our expense.

Couple weeks time we should be launching a bigger project if everything goes to plan. Wink

You've created a martingale heaven. A few martingalers on your site with enough bankroll to sustain a large losing streak will bankrupt you site before you know it. And with the Refund feature, martingalers are immune to losses. Investors will not invest in it, as there can't be any profit, because of the 0% house edge. You can't survive 6 months like this, you may not survive even a month. I would advise to really think how you will sustain this, where your bottom line will come from as currently it is unrealistic to think this site will survive the winter.

Right.

I think the owner of ZeusDice.com needs to rethink his strategies. Because honestly, there are only two possible scenarios here:

1. The game is not fair and the owner is ripping off users to make a profit.
2. The site will go out of business long before the owner creates a monetization strategy to fairly profit off his website.

19  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the 75$/bitcoin price was a bubble on: January 05, 2014, 09:34:38 AM
$75 Bitcoins. Seems like it was only yesterday.

And the price seemed expensive because only two months before (in January) it was under $15.00.  This was right around the time that I learned about bitcoin.  I was disappointed because I felt I had missed the opportunity to participate in what I thought was a completely mind-blowing technology that I was sure would change the world.  I can see now that I was in fact an early adopter, and I also believe that people learning about bitcoin today will feel this way in a year or two as well.

Yep, and I thought it was too expensive at $15, because only a little while earlier it was $8.

Nowadays, $850 doesn't feel all that expensive because of the tremendous upward potential.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Losing all hope on: January 05, 2014, 09:29:55 AM
Bitcoin never will be 10.000 usd. Who would buy bitcoins for 10k a pop?

Right now the only reason 99% of the trades is because they want to make profit and turn back into fiat. Once that is over the bubble will pop and bitcoin will stay in the 100 dollar range forever. I rather have 10 million usd than 11000k bitcoins

Unless bitcoin has a steady price and is accepted everywhere like cash it will never be accepted by society.
You can do everything with cash but not so much with bitcoins. That is the sad truth
Do you realize that if bitcoin is heavily adopted $10,000 for an entire bitcoin (it's pretty clear mBTC will be widely adopted by then) will likely be a memory of the distant past? If bitcoin really takes off, $100,000 for an entire bitcoin is a real possibility. Of course, that's if bitcoin really takes off.
