Hi all, we've been building this engine over 3 years, please check out and feel free to use in your projects: https://github.com/dappros/ethora (Github repo) https://ethora.com/wiki/Main_Page (Website, documentation wiki) Features: - Users can join chat rooms and exchange NFTs / coins there. Users can mint NFTs in-app (unless you disable it).
- User profiles show Coins and NFTs that they own, as well as all recent transactions.
- You can send tips in coins or NFTs to messages of other users which creates a p2p rewards or "merit" system.
- Option for non-crypto savvy users: users log in with Google / Facebook / Apple social log in and obtain a crypto wallet automatically.
- Blockchain: based on Ethereum but you can adapt it to other blockchains if you prefer.
- QR codes, push notifications, activity rewards - many other features, we've tested and improved this over 1 year with early adopter clients. Check the wiki and Github release notes for all features.
Happy to give live demos, provide tech support. How you can help: - ALL - any feedback is appreciated. Also DM me or write here if you want to be involved in the project somehow. Please also send this to anyone you think might benefit from this engine.
- React Native developers - Github code review, pull requests etc - we need to improve architecture so would appreciate any involvement from experienced RN developers. We don't have much budget as it's being self funded at the moment, but maybe you're interested to be involved as an early contributor or something, we'll be happy to give credit.
- Crypto tech consultants, Digital agencies, Software houses etc - you can use this as a no-code / low-code platform for your clients. Will be happy to feature you as integration partners at project's website.
FundingWe currently fund the project ourselves. Initially we've built this engine for our own blockchain software business so when clients need something across wallet/vault + social + ERC-20/NFT tokens, we can just deploy a ready engine and save 3+ months development time. Decided to make it open-source assuming small/indi projects will benefit from it, the end users will obtain more user friendly gateways into decentralized economy, at the same time larger business/enterprises will be interested in customization work / SLA etc which can be used to fund further R&D. DEX listing, DAO governanceInterested to develop in that direction but quite busy at the moment and don't want to rush things. If there is enough interest in the project and community is thriving, it could make sense to launch a utility token economy or something. Would appreciate any feedback / advice on this direction as well.

Maybe instead of just saying that you have developed "iOS apps" you should at least also say what their names are so that the members especially the OP will know what you have really developed. Not only will it save us time but it will also help what you are pitching him. Instead of just backing it up with your blog post what you should include is the project portfolio you have which will also be helpful. I'm just saying this because most the low ranking members here ranging from jr. members to newbies in the project development always try to offer their service but what they forget is to post their credentials with their previous works backing them up.
Look I appreciate your advice and that I'm only a junior member here, but I'm literally one of the first people worldwide who have successfully started iOS apps development professionally and we've built hundreds of apps literally, some banking apps for Barclays, TCS, multiple apps for Hollywood studios accompanying top movie releases such as Avatar etc, a number of healthcare and telemedicine apps, Liverpool FC and Man City FC fan apps etc, gaming (iCombat etc), multiple featured by Apple in some demonstrated in WWDC events. There isn't much point to list all of them and some are protected by NDA. Will be happy to share more details with clients and there is no point to bore others with details here. Not really focused on pitching someone here, it just so happened that I've checked this forum, not doing it every day, more like once every 2-3 weeks and I saw someone looking for help on their project which matches exactly my personal and my company expertise, so decided to provide some details to help them potentially, and if this leads to a great client - developer match, isn't this what topic starter was looking for?

Hi @adoptablockchainmy company will be happy to discuss and estimate the time&cost for you so you can decide whether you want to proceed with us. I'm company founder and I manage all projects personally. We've built iOS apps since 2008 and focus on blockchain since 2018. For iOS and Android we do both cross-platform (React Native) and fully native development. For blockchain exchange, we have (1) some ready-to-go frameworks we've built ourselves and we can license to you so you own the IP; (2) having worked on similar projects, we stay up to date with open-source white label exchanges that you can reuse at least for the backend side of your project, refer for example my blog post on this: https://www.dappros.com/201812/open-source-white-label-token-exchanges-comparison-of-options/; (3) happy to build it from scratch for you (or a combination of open-source + from scratch as you mention). We have recently worked on a technologically similar project involving a mobile wallet, installing full nodes for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Stellar, TRON, Ripple, Vechain, NEO etc and creating REST JSON APIs for these. These involved setting up server-side running nodes from same instance (for easier management) but at different virtual machines and different ports, also implementing REST JSON API for mobile wallet app to work with - built mainly in Node.js, and C# for one of them + of course the mobile part. Let me know if you have any questions or maybe we should do a call to discuss. Hello and thank you in advance for any assistance.
We are looking for a development company that has experience in blockchain mobile development. This is what we want:
- Build a Cryptocurrency/Fiat Exchange for iOS and Android - Support 10 independent blockchain nodes (can start from 3 and scale) - Support ERC20 - Connect 3rd party services and bot trading with 12 exchanges via API (all exchanges are verified to have an API) - We are ok using a white label to go to market by summer, but would like to build a solution where we can own the Intellectual Property rights to the code before the end of Summer 2020.
If you can be of assistance, please share additional information.
PS. I've done all the obvious google search leg work and spoke with development companies that come up in search results but they all seem to specialize on web applications..

When you've been a programmer for quite a while, it's something you begin to understand. It's a gamble, you're working for free, and most of the time the "founder" substantially overestimates their worth in the company and reflects their ownership percentage in such a way.
I'd say about 80% of the requests I get are "you'll get paid if it works - equity style" and as most startups fail, it's not a lucrative strategy.
+100 99% of equity or rev share agreements don't make sense for developers. Founders who know what they are doing shall have no issues raising funding (or fund using their own and family money) to pay for basic MVP development. On other note - just noticed your signature - are you based in Watford? Reading about your project now..

Regarding top cities, where in China and Japan?
Yes unfortunately they would be underrepresented as we couldn't find any easy way to understand and parse job boards that are not in English. The reports mainly represents US, Europe and India, geographies which use English-speaking job boards.

Thank you all for your comments here and also for clarification regarding images. Also interesting to find out about the activity windows system.
DdmrDdmr regarding PWC that's a good point. It may be due to them not hiring blockchain developers in August and July, or them not using the job boards we've been parsing. Will look into this to understand the underlying issue and improve taking this into account when crunching data for September stats.
I'm also working on some geographical distribution reports, for example focusing on California data now. It's interesting to see how some areas have spikes in the numbers of blockchain developers relative to population size.

Foxpup:
We have just shared our own experience. It's not a hired writer or some marketing b/s. The post has been written jointly by my software developer and myself. I've received thanks and comments from a telegram crypto community I've posted that into. I'm not sharing information here that I don't think is useful for community.
Under other blockchains I meant the multitude other blockchains that may have the same RPC vulnerability issue. I understand this forum has "bitcoin" in its name but for me in such cases Bitcoin is a symbol of blockchain (and values behind it) generally, not a specific cryptocurrency. I believe Ethereum and other blockchains developers shouldn't be herded into altcoins sub-forum here but that is obviously up to esteemed members and moderators here. Feel free to delete this topic.
Best regards Taras

Thank you for your comments here ETFbitcoin and gmaxwell. I've only had experience with Ethereum vulnerability here but assumed this would apply to other networks.
RPC vulnerability is something that has been highlighted to me by cybersecurity experts when we discussed blockchain nodes vulnerability in general. Once you expose your RPC that is a threat.
Good to know Bitcoin Core is better protected there.
I think market needs some sort of OWASP top 10 / blockchain-specific vulnerability scanning solution to help developers protect their nodes and testnets here, not even mentioning production enterprise implementations.

Hi all, we're crunching some data since July on blockchain developers hiring. I thought that might be a good indication (at least one of the data points) on how blockchain economy is doing generally. The more developers are being hired, the more activity in the jobs space, the better the economy is. Especially important post hype/bubble to see when it rebounds. According to our research, TOP-10 companies hiring blockchain developers are: - Coinbase
- Gemini
- ConsenSys
- Blockchain
- OpenCrowd
- Ripple
- Aptoide
- Rondo
- JAAK
- Decentralised Vision
TOP-25 cities hiring blockchain developers: - Washington
- Singapore
- San Francisco (+1 vs July)
- London (-1)
- New York
- Jakarta
- Berlin
- Kuala Lumpur
- Arlington
- Boston
- Afton (+1)
- Reston (+1)
- Bengaluru (+5)
- Tulsa (+1)
- Manila (-1)
- Toronto (new in top-25)
- Paris (-1)
- McLean (-1)
- Alexandria
- กทม (+4)
- Warsaw (-1)
- Tysons (-1)
- Mumbai (new in top-25)
- Mountain View (-2)
- Amsterdam (-2)
Not sure how to add images here, got some infographics there as well. More details and infographics in our blog post: https://www.dappros.com/201909/blockchain-developers-hiring-stats-worldwide-august-2019/

Hi all, just wanted to warn those of you who like us are exposing your own blockchain / testnet via RPC, you need to take extra measures to protect against bot attacks there. In our case someone (likely an automated script) has been able to access our Ethereum based development testnet via an open RPC port and transfer virtual Ether from a coinbase account. Luckily it wasn't a real currency and just a development testnet. However this shows are there are automated scripts / bots out there scanning for these kind of vulnerabilities. Quick solution is to change port number from a default 8545 to some other arbitrary value. Proper solution would be use Linux firewall and/or IP whitelisting. More details in our blog post here: https://www.dappros.com/201908/report-attack-on-dappros-platform-testnet/

Hi all,
so we've had couple dozen registrations from Betalist and users are already building their private Ethereum blockchain projects.
Please feel free to test is for yourselves, it is free and easy to use.

Вiтаю, ми запустили blockchain-as-a-service платформу, такий собi "Wordpress для blockchain".

Sorry to hear that.
It seems crypto community could benefit from developing some sort of basic rules (a simplified and blockchain enabled version of what SEC imposes on public traded companies and Companies House etc regulators impose on private limited companies) that would require to file certain updates regarding business plan, accounting and spending on blockchain (or send privately to all investors/token holders).
Then those ICOs/STOs who follow the standard would have a higher change of raising initial and follow-on rounds, resulting in less investors burned and more money deployed towards responsible and hard working ones.

I don't understand the benefits of running own blockchain. Its usually done in development with free software like ganache, but in production its more beneficial to be a part of larger more secure blockchain. I'd like to hear explanation on why is that kind of blockchain better than ethereum main network.
Sure, so there are two main scenarios here: 1. Use it as a testnet. So you test your project, your smart contracts, your tokens economy before hitting public blockchain where there are transaction fees, everything is slower and cost of mistake is much higher. 2. Private enterprise blockchains. There are numerous use cases where this is preferred. For example, supply chain partners each run a node to track shipments via common ledger. Or a consortium of banks who need to swap some mutual financial instruments. They don't need and don't want to expose the data to public blockchain. In both cases there are existent solutions but you need to spend from hours to months. We've wrapped intuitive web interfaces and developer friendly APIs around Ethereum so project administrators and users can see the distribution of tokens, make new issuances, transfers, access crypto wallets, monitor transactions, network parameters etc.

Hi all, our platform has been featured on Betalist so wanted to share here as well. It is your own private Ethereum blockchain in the cloud. Issue tokens, create users and wallets, transfer, basically play with your own blockchain via web interface. It's free so feel free to explore for your own or clients projects. https://betalist.com/startups/dapprosThe problem we are solving is it's difficult for end users to understand blockchain, and difficult for businesses (especially small ones) to adopt the technology. It is expensive and takes a lot of time. So we make it easy in just few clicks via web interface to operate your network, tokens etc. We need feedback, early adopters and promoters to get it in front of as many potential users as possible. Not sure what's the best way to structure this. I guess usually here people do bounty campaigns. We haven't planned to launch an ICO, it is traditional self funded startup right now. However all who subscribe receive Dappros Platform tokens, which could be used in the ecosystem in future. Open to suggestions here. Screenshot: Let me know if you're interested to collaborate on this in any capacity.

anybody working with security tokens or STOs here?
I see moderators have moved my post into altcoins from tech development forum, but I'm not sure STOs fall under altcoins, might be useful to set up a separate section devoted to security token offerings
just yesterday learned about new Blockport and Bitbond STO launches
