1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Value and the Relationship between BTC and BCH on: August 02, 2017, 06:36:07 AM
I wonder the BCC or BCH? which is the correct abbreviation, or both are correct. Anyway, in my opinion, the bitcoin cash is just a diversion issue and the market control for the bitcoin holder, if there's no bitcoin cash, most people will hold their btc, and other people buy more btc. Because they believe that after the segwit activation, the price will pump. So the bitcoin inventory became more limited. And with the bitcoin cash hire, theres at least there's some people are doubious and the safe way is to sell the btc. So the price of btc still stable until right now. Am I wrong?

I think BCC will not be able to support for a long time and it will soon fall. A bitcoin will continue to grow in price. This will happen as soon as the community fully understands what happened on August 1. The leading stock exchanges have already decided and stated that they will not support the BCC.

Same post total and everything! Nice signature scamming!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash? More like bitcoin crash! on: August 01, 2017, 10:42:15 PM
Even I think bitcoin cash is not worth to holding, it's better to sell it now before its price falls hard.
I'm not sure the price of bitcoin cash will increase.

The facts are these: 14,000 traded their BCC so far. There are about 20,000,000 BCC in the world. I don't see the whales, nor anyone else, dumping BCC at all. Where are the 19,986,000 BTC holders not yet selling any penny of BCC? Will it crash or go to $10,000? Maybe it will crash. But so far, only 14,000 coins have spoken, and BCC is available on 30 pairs now across 10 or more exchanges.

They aren't selling because deposits are frozen and the truly smart people kept ownership of their private keys.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Get your ski mask on because tomorrow is going to be a robbery on: July 31, 2017, 07:51:08 PM
August 1st is finally here. I hope everyone has their full nodes ready with all their bitcoins there. Time to dump all of our BCC for more free BTC. Easiest trade ever.

A reminder to get all of your coins off from exchanges and into your full nodes.

If you aren't running a full node, then put it in a paper wallet or something.

Just be ready to dump BitmainCoin, time to get some free chips.

How is this free? You've either bought BCC (which cost you something), expect it to get pumped up and then you'll sell on the quick rise. Is that correct?

The concept of "you'll have an equal amount of BCC coins and BTC coins" does not mean you have double the number of coins. It means you'll be able to claim BCC OR BTC, not both. And your private keys are the source of record, they are interchangeable in both wallets. Once you claim your BCC you will now have an equal amount less available in BTC, and vice versa.

There's nothing free about this, especially if you think BCC is going to fail.

The only "lottery-like" win here is elect to take BCC immediately and the conversion is something like 1BTC:1000BCC and then  BCC takes off days, weeks, or months after.
That is the best explanation I've heard thus far

Except that it's completely wrong.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash is the real Bitcoin. SegWit is the AltCoin. on: July 31, 2017, 07:37:03 PM
Why do people insist on calling Core's Bitcoin the 'real' bitcoin.

Because Core literally is Satoshi's creation (acknowledging there have been some modifications and enhancements over the years).

BCC is in total agreement with Satoshi's Whitepaper. Bitcoin Cash is going to rule because on chain scaling will prove fine while Core Blockstream's altcoin will burn in flames.  Don't sell your BCC.

I'm glad you think so, a solution to chain scaling is what we need...I'd prefer it not be called Bitcoin Cash, but solving the problem is paramount.

I think you need to be more clear with your advise. It's not "don't sell your BCC", it's "don't sell". Everyone (with private keys) will get an amount of BCC that equals the amount they have in BTC. For example, let's say someone owns 100 Bitcoin. They will then also own 100 BCC. If they sell 10 bitcoin, they will then have 90 bitcoin and 90 BCC.

The more I read posts today the more it sounds like people think they're getting something for free. They're not...they're just getting the option to convert existing Bitcoin to Bitcoin Cash.

WRONG. Don't listen to this person.

Wow, that's just completely and utterly wrong.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fastest way to Dump BCC tomorrow at 12:20pm UTC? Timing is important on: July 31, 2017, 06:11:55 PM
Im worried that by the time I log into my wallet, send BCC to an exchange, log into exchange etc. that BCC may already reach $0 value meaning I was too late to dump so might as well hold right? No point selling it for pennies.

So whats the fastest way to dump bcc, whats everybody's plans?

Also do we have to split BCC from BTC first in our wallets which means even more precious time consumed correct?
According to the figures at ViaBTC, BCC is currently trading against CNY by 1:1,900 which is the equivalent of about $282. I doubt the new currency will go down that quickly even though its been slipping since it was first listed on the website.

If you've followed futures trading for the ICOs, you would know that the futures usually trade at about 10x of what the real exchange price is going to be.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will maintaining the network security always be profitable? on: June 20, 2017, 10:04:02 PM
Say the year is 2140 and miners are no longer receiving block rewards, only Tx fees. How do we know that these Tx fees will always make mining a profitable endeavor? Especially considering that block sizes are currently hard-coded and we don't know the impact of second-layer solutions?

Will something need to change in the meantime to guarantee this? For instance, a blocksize scaling mechanism that ensures that there is suitable demand for block space? Or will the users slowly take network security into their own hands and run distributed and/or embedded miners to decentralize the currency and not care whether or not the mining is profitable?

What happens if we develop a technology that provides everyone with unlimited free energy? Do we 'globalize' bitcoin?

It's questions like these that make me really trust the long-term prospects of PoS more than PoW, since we can continue to use self-interest and greed to improve the network indefinitely without needing to be cognizant of large-scale changes in how society functions.

Maybe this is more of a philosophical discussion.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x will get activated for sure? on: June 20, 2017, 08:41:41 PM

Why would the miners want want to change anything, they could just stay the way they are and reap in the TX fees and just sit here with no change in sight while the fees get higher and higher.

That's easy to answer: the UASF did its job. The threat made last week to hard fork was quite telling.

Easy to give that advice when you haven't invested. For those who have invested it makes sense to encourage the market so the price can rise a little. Not much else they can do at the moment (many of them can't sell at all because bittrex locked the wallets). Rather than moan and bitch they better suck it up and cut the devs some slack ... it was really just one person, Movrcx (Joshua Yabut). I've seen much bigger companies go through worse because of a single person and then recovered to a bigger valuation (said person ended up nowhere in the end). It's doable.

After spending some time on slack tonight, I think it will recover. The market is memoryless, which will help.

I was invested but cut my losses at 40% when I realized what was happening after Joshua posted a picture of the sell off to his twitter in a mocking manner.

And it wasn't just Joshua, it was the whole Core team that was trying to defraud its users and not tell the exchanges about the exploit which could have been used to steal ALL of the coins on the network.

Proof: https://pastebin.com/3ZSbQY3h

They were worried that telling the truth would kill the coin. Guess what...
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZENCASH: Permanent, Distributed, and Fully Anonymous cryptocurrency on: June 09, 2017, 03:42:05 AM
Everyone here praising the team and hoping for a new day, well what can I tell you other than you must really like that wool over your eyes or licking boots. Look, i get it, you're still invested because you had to hold and now you're just praying to god tha the coin goes back up.

Let me spell it out for you: You were just defrauded by this team.

There are plenty of other coins with interesting technology with legitimately decent people running the helm.

Zencash already showed everyone that their users are meaningless to them. I suggest you do the same in return and stop supporting ZEN and ZCL.

Oh and that huge sell off? You can bet that was someone within the project dumping on you and cashing out. That's fraud.

Good luck.

I can't login after registering. Username/password not found. Tried in ie, chrome, and firefox using 3 different accounts. Tried a password reset and login still didn't work after the password change.

Seems to be working now.

Would anyone be interested in AMD-tuned Windows builds of mikaelh-v5?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PRIMECOIN: difficulty is going ballistic - miners hold on to your coins on: July 15, 2013, 11:40:42 PM
I am here for the long term here, so not even paying attention to release week prices.

I think it's hilarious to look at other coins' YTD charts and remember how much time and energy people spent fussing over sub-pixel changes.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Primecoin Built-in Miner Sieve Performance Issue on: July 13, 2013, 01:18:44 AM
My latest Windows builds. From Chemisist source:

Tuned for Sandy and Ivy Intel Core processors (AVX), O3:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/18bgecwqzsmwsh2/primecoin0712v2-avx.zip

Ivy Bridge ONLY build:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/f7fu0u0yk4i09il/primecoin0712v2-ivyonly.zip

XPM: AR2BpBnitqXudN67Ncuc9FfYVT8u9jNe7a

Would your ivy bridge build be best for haswell?

The Ivy Bridge build will work well on Haswell. It doesn't have every instruction set available on Haswell, but most. I am probably done compiling for the night (yay, Friday!) but maybe another kind soul will build you a core-avx2 optimized daemon.

How about my outdated Nehalem?

It will work on it but it will not have compiling optimizations, only code optimizations.

Why make it a weave timing parameter and not just a weave count parameter? I think that would be a better metric, as a change in CPU load means the timing parameter's results will change a lot.

Agreed.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [XPM] Primecoin Built-in Miner Sieve Performance Issue on: July 12, 2013, 11:29:35 PM
Updated windows build using the new Chemisist source. Tuned for Intel Sandy and Ivy Bridge but compatible with other architecture.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/4k0xmuajxf5i4ly/primecoin0712v3-avx.zip

I'm seeing lower PPS than my v2 builds but I think that weaving will be better overall.

k well either way.. for the noobs... if you install sunny's new client..

don't use this https://www.dropbox.com/s/f7fu0u0yk4i09il/primecoin0712v2-ivyonly.zip

it is making the wallet hang on splash screen..

I just copied the files into the wallet folder.. no worky

Are you sure you're on Ivy? Because 0710-avx is an mtune build while 0712v2 will only work on Ivy Bridge cpus.
