1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ZERO - COMMUNITY TAKEOVER on: December 20, 2017, 04:01:17 AM
1. DONE
As Bitcointalk has disabled all graphics in all forum pages because of high traffic you can't really see it right now.
But the moment photos and graphics are enabled in Bitcointalk you will also the new graphic

2. DONE
Had to disable our TOP 100 until it is fixed with correct %. The Explorer works perfectly though
It is not obligatory to have that page though as most of other crypto's don't even mention it. But i like the TOP 100 page

3. In process

DM,

Are there any plans to approach My Ether Wallet about adding Zero? I think the ability to use a hardware wallet with our coin could add peace of mind to some considering investing.

GH

My Ether Wallet is for Ethereum based tokens. Zero is a coin. It's not an Ethereum token. You don't add coins to MEW, it doesn't work like that.
Thanks

And in case you did not notice your coin does have enemies sabotaging it. Dont put passed them to stopp to lows that would surprise. I seen it all in this business and you are a new coin and you aee a better coin and you do have enemies who are actively plotting against you. Of course anyone would because the enemies are weak with stupid coin or they wouldnt need to fight because they wouldnt be scared. Zero dont need to fight cause its better but it is so small that it is weak and able to be compromised by enemies. If you dont imagine my reference you havent been in the crypto scene much.

The only way to nullify the enemies is to rise up in value hash rate power support online presence. So maybe even though you dobt realize you are actually at war bcuz there are those attacking you right now.

This is not for fear its truth for empowerment. Break through to not be crushed its the only way. Peaceful and powerful just get it done. MINING AINT ENOUGH TIME TO RISE UP!

All points duly noted...

Dev disappeared shortly after projects launch and it's quite literally been just a couple of weeks since Zero was resurrected from the ashes.  Pieces are falling into place and Demarsac has been instrumental at every step. Regarding enemies lurking, there was DDOS attack on a couple of pools a week ago so we're well aware of what we have here and the threat it poses.

As a miner of course it would be great to have a head start on accumulation before Zero is widely adopted, however we need to bring in as many people who want to be involved (including miners), and get on as many exchanges as possible in order to grow. In addition to my mining efforts I'm currently holding 25K coins that I purchased, long term.

A few posters have mentioned using ethOS with Zer. What is your global miner setting?
Thanks in advance
G.

You can't use it in the regular way. You will have to do some custom work to make it happen.

Thanks for the input. I use the forge top pool so any info on settings, etc. you might have would be greatly appreciated. I get a segmentation error at least once a day that crashes my rigs and I'm out of ideas and patience with trying to correct the error, so would like to move onto more stable platform.

Thanks
G.

I am trying to mine zero with three GTX1070 gpus using optiminer zero 1.2, on Windows.
The miner works for about 10-12 min (or even less time) and then it stops mining.
I am using miner-entry pool, if this is relevant.
These are the lines that usually show up:

[2017-11-21 11:13:54.345] [info] [GPU1]  4.8 I/s 11.4 S/s (5s) 5.0 I/s 9.7 S/s (1m)

[2017-11-21 11:13:57.948] [info] [Total]  15.0 I/s 27.8 S/s (5s) 14.8 I/s 28.8 S/s (1m)
[2017-11-21 11:13:58.239] [error] OpenCL error: readBuffer Solutions0 (CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES)
[2017-11-21 11:13:58.244] [info] Press any key to exit application.

I have tried different gpu settings (default or overclocked core and memory clocks) and different optiminer pci-modes (zero up to three) as well as the experimental-kernel setting without any luck.
The miner either hangs or produces the above message.
On the same rig, I have two AMD RX cards which I use to mine on a different instance of the miner, using the -c switch. These run without any problems.

Any ideas? I mean, besides switching to ethos?

Any chance to run out of memory? RAM or GPU? The ram at least you can monitor.. I think i have the ram problem on linux too..

What cards do you run in your rigs? Nvidia or AMD? I think that the problem relates to the Nvidia cards/drivers, since the miner that runs the AMD cards has no problems.

Just went through this on Linux rig. After trying everything including swapping hardware and a couple of clean installs, it turned out that driver 384.98 fixes a couple of bugs. In my case it was the way the card interfaces with the CPU. Run 384.98 and see what happens

Anyone else experiencing "Segmentation Fault (core dump)" while running Optiminer? It's happening for me in both optiminer-zero v1.2 and optiminer-equihash v2.0. I'm running Umbutu desktop 16.04 and have run both versions in multiple pools with the same result. Program runs perfectly for anywhere from 10 minutes to about a half an hour before crashing.

Any input is appreciated!

Thanks.
