I would like to sell BTC for GBP. What are your rates for a UK Bank Transfer?
2  Economy / Securities / Re: [ApplianceStore] - Official Reports - Daily Updates - Important Information on: August 16, 2014, 07:50:47 PM
Speaking as an investor, daily updates seem to be causing admin-related problems, and in hindsight, this kind of administrative overhead was probably always asking for trouble. Are folks receptive to changing the reporting period to weekly or every two-weeks, if ABI then committed to keeping on top of things and sending out the updates within, say, 48hrs of the end of the reporting period?

Did someone just invest ~100BTC?

Couple of points.

1. I don't think you need to spend $10k on backups, nor have I seen anyone advocate spending this amount.

2. You say you have regular offsite backups (one presumes these don't cost $10k) but if that is the case, why has the wallet not been recovered?

Looks like the neg feedback has been removed from ABI also. Nice day all round.

On that note, would anyone that has risked BTC with me leave a trust rating. Someone that I am not involved with decided to neg me "just in case" as reflected in their comments. The red text is annoying me.

Left positive feedback for you.

Don't see it yet but thank you.

It's probably in the untrusted feedback section (scroll down and click on the link to see it). Add people to your trust network if you trust them, and they will show in the top section. Details on how trust works is here:

Will be posting an earnings update tonight for sure. If you have an existing relationship with this business please PM me to discuss some things.

Thanks

Can you clarify? Are you asking investors to PM you?

Thanks

11  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 15, 2013, 05:33:59 PM
Sorry if this has been covered (this is a very big thread). I have tried to search but did not find a straight answer on this:

If I didn't transfer my shares on BitFunder to ACM-TENDER, what has happened to them, and can I regain control of them? If so, how?

If you know your public Bitfunder address and you can sign with it you should be fine. You can find the very last Google's cache of Bitfunder assets list (1 Dec 2013, 18:13:31 GMT) here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vbxit8c0mde7fs6/The-Very-Last-Google%27s-cache-of-Bitfunder-assets-list-1-Dec-2013-18-13-31-GMT.rar. If you didn't transferred your shares before those were automatically transferred your address should be one of the addresses listed.

Thanks very much for your help. My address is in there. Since I didn't transfer in the tender, Ken won't automatically set me up on the new exchange, is that right? Does anyone know the process for those in my situation? I assume I will have to send someone a signed message, but who do i send it to and when?

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Move Wallet to different computer on: September 14, 2013, 07:43:08 PM
Thanks. Is it safe to move the wallet if Bitcoin-QT is not synced? The wallet itself is up to date (no recent transactions)

I assume the steps are:

1. Install a bitcoin client on the other PC (was thinking of MultiBit so as to eliminate block chain syncing)
2. Locate wallet.dat on the macbook
3. Copy wallet.dat to a usb drive
4. find the wallet.dat on the PC, rename it, and drop in the wallet.dat from the macbook.

Is that correct?

16  Other / Beginners & Help / Move Wallet to different computer on: September 14, 2013, 03:03:05 AM
I have Bitcoin QT installed on a macbook air. Syncing takes forever, and pretty much tops out CPU usage. So I'd like to move my wallet to a different computer (running Windows 7). Any advice on how to accomplish this?
