So how do I enable ASICboost on miners that are pointed to this pool?

Check the usual suspects: PSU, wires, excessive dust inside (especially this one!)
Mine On!  Cool

Thanks.

Can I use a Q Standard 39012 Utility Blower (2905 CFM) to blow out the dust?

Help Kano!

My shares on Kano Account are showing 0 since Mar‑22 13:13:31, why would that be?

Your machines are not hashing...internet or power down?  Try rebooting your machines.

Thanks, rebooted, now one of the machines miner status doesn't show one of the hash boards, and is hashing at 9TH.  Cry
What's my next step?

Consolidate your transactions with the low fees!
Indeed - don't wait for the next run of high fees then complain about them Cheesy
Do it! Do it now!

I did and it was confirmed very quickly even with the low fees.  Now is the time to consolidate all of your small payouts to another wallet you own! Cheesy

I was going to ask about this very thing...  I have had several payments into one address. But I keep hearing of this consolidation.  What is exactly meant by it and what benefit is there, or negative if its not done?  I know it means to move the funds to another address or wallet ID, is it simply to put them in one block so that when its moved its not being moved from many blocks over the past couple months and that ads up to more fees?  Ie satoshi's per kb..

I have had all the payments for blocks on kano since dec 10, and about 1 each week from Nov 21 from Nicehash...  except for that last one :-)

Thanks.

It's cheaper to move one "unit" that is 1 BTC vs 100 "unit"s that total 1 BTC.
As an fyi, minergain is still showing the mempool at 125MB, so still terrible - however there have been errors with blockchain.info overnight, so that may be part of why lower transactions that have been sitting there longer are getting through.  It never hurts to consolidate and www.minergain.com/faq.html#btctxfees will give you some options.  I always go about half of the weekly value and would try .00005 BTC/Kb.  Be sure to check the option to change the fee later if that is a setting in your wallet.

Thanks, followed your advice and consolidated with a .00005 BTC/Kb fee, got confirmed in less than 5 days.

It would be nice to get another block before the diff change.

Mine on!

Got an estimated on the next change?

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/difficulty

That estimate is incorrect we are already at 2.23 T difficulty and looks like we are probably going to add another 15%. Looks like it should change in 17 hours or so. I used to trust the numbers at btc.com but not sure I do at this point, they have been having some issues lately.

I'm hoping for 16% or less increase at this point by tonight's adjustment.  A lot of hashrate was pointed other places and/or shut down yesterday to stop the pace from reaching a 20%+ increase.  I was already hoping for it to slow down from this last 15% increase but a ton of power and machines have been pointing at BTC the whole time, since all coins have been down in price and there wasn't anywhere else to go this past 10-12 days for SHA-256.

Difficulty increased 16.84%

Well, no S9's for me tonight....   Maybe one more Block can be found before I wake up...   :-)  Then I'll be a bit happier.

This is like a full time purchasing job to buy these.   I don't even know if their claim for being able to wire USD to them was a legit one because I never got to that point.  Was hopeful.

Oh well.

Blockabadoo I see you!

The option was there. I used Btrash though. Easier as I have read numerous reports about them asking for more money after the initial wire was sent to cover their wire fees. With the speed and intensity of their customer service team (NOT) it is almost impossible to get an issue answered and resolved in a reasonable amount of time.

I ordered 10 S9's, paid by USD wire. Added $15 to the wire to cover their fees (should have only added $5), got confirmed as paid yesterday.

did anyone order through bitmain on the last s9 batch and see how the USD wire transfer worked??   Specifically how much time do they give you to transfer the money to them?  half hour? ahahah  Banks are closed!

Just so I know If I should do a BCH or USD wire to them if I have enough time, the exchange rates fluctuate so much its sometimes 200-250 more than straight USD sent to them.

Its gotta be more than a half hour for the USD though.

They say to finish payment within 7 days

I've been looking to add some more S9s to my minifarm.  I tried to pull the trigger in last night's sale for 10 units, but my order ultimately failed.  However, I came across the below calculator this morning and it has given me great pause.  It shows that the difficulty level is ramping up so fast that they will never be profitable.  Where do you guys stand on this?  I'd really like to hear where you guys think all of this is headed.

edit: these are my assumptions http://www.mycryptobuddy.com/BitcoinMiningCalculator/path?hashrate=135&power=14000&rejectRate=0&hardwareCost=27000

You are assuming the price of Bitcoin is going to stay forever at today's price?

Best IOS wallet?

Sorry to ask this on the pool thread, but since it relates to miner wallets I figured you folks would be the best source of information.

I am using Mycelium and I like it a lot. But I really need one feature it doesn't have: the ability to set a custom minor fee level. The low priority setting is even too high.    I think it is running about 08 mBTC per byte. Even transactions in the .004 in mBTC area are confirming within a reasonable amount of time. When all I am trying to sweep a miner wallet and I don't care that it takes a day instead of 4 hours, even this low priority level too high.

Any ideas?

Sorry for my ignorance, what is sweeping a miner wallet, and why would you want to do that?

combine all of the smaller inputs into one larger input.

Thanks, now, how do you do that, with mycelium?

Previous ramp post of mine back when the ramp was 3 days:
...
How it actually works, as opposed to how you see a 'ramp', is that your payouts are simply spread out over 5ND which is currently about 3 days.
You get paid for each share you submit, over the 3 days after you submit the share.
What this does is reduce the variance in your payouts.
Something like this if you think of it as submitting a share (s) each block:
Code:
                        s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
                  s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
            s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
      s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
If you consider the + to be the reward points when we find a block, the 5ND is simply the time it takes for the overlap of all '5' shares
Of course you keep submitting shares, so the gap appearing at the bottom doesn't begin until you stop mining e.g.:
Code:
                        s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
                  s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
            s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
      s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+s----+-----+-----+-----+-----+
The height/number of '+'s is the relative reward.

My simplified explanation was almost correct, but Kano's explanation is actually correct  Smiley

Why does no one answer this aspect..  What is 5Nd is 9,365,527,376,108.0  How does it relate to "time" as everyone refers to it as.  I get it is 5x the current difficulty, but What does it represent.  I understand that the payout is shifted over the 5 blocks for the current found block.

Maybe I am thinking this is more complicated than what it is...   Is it  safe to say that if a block is found 1 per day at the exact same hour and minute, that the first block found is all paid out on the 5th day ( when the 5th block is found) and the day 2 block has only had 4 pays, and the third block found on the third day has 3 paid out?   ***** And the variance comes in if the number of days is different between blocks  say 2  then 3 or 7 days between each block but all different.?

Still does not explain what the  9,365,527,376,108.0 number is. I know its referred to as 5nd, but what Units?  How does the number itself relate to the way its calculated, or is everyone saying things like " oh 16 day 5nd is a very long time" and just meaning, Man that took 16 days to find 5 blocks ?

As I understand it:
When a block is found, the block reward is shared proportionately among the last 9,365,527,376,108 shares that miners sent to the pool, up to when the block was found, which currently are approximately the shares submitted in the last 16 and a half days before the block was found.
