Update: Second hashboard on the E3 has shit the bed.
Super disappointed in the quality of this shipment. When I received it, the E3 had one DOA board, plus the metal around the control board was loose and rattling. Now a second board has failed? Come on.
Bitmain is pulling the "Send it in for warranty" card.
Sorry for your bad luck but not sure what you expect Bitmain to do about it. EVGA has not offered anything different for my failed graphics cards. I send them in and wait for replacements. I have been running 9 E3 units with A3++ power supplies since the first batch shipped. All solid and no failures so far. They are a nice addition to my graphics card rigs at less than half the cost. Considering that Bitmain offers a warranty and the unit already contained failed hardware on receipt, it's DOA to me. I'd expect it to be replaced. |

Received my E3. Appears to be hashing at 2/3 capacity; pretty sure one of the hashing boards are DOA.
Compared to a friend's E3, it appears to be missing 3 of the 9 chains, so that would make sense.

I've been running my B3 since 05/07 and I GPU mined from 05/08 with 12x 1070s for weeks, PLUS hit a CPU block.
Total BTM count: 1,683
I'm $2,500 into a B3 (launch) and even with the $500 USD refund from Bitmain, I'm still in the hole $1,360. Only hope to even break even would be for BTM to hit a new ATH of $1.12. Completely unrealistic, lol. Every single person who bought a B3 got incredibly shafted, but that's zero surprise coming from Bitmain.

I'm beginning to think conspiracy. There is next to NOTHING on the internet that shows anyone mining Bytom. I think that "they" may be suppressing information b/c of the profits that can be made with as little competition as possible. Normally by now, YouTube would be riddled with all kinds of videos about people receiving their machines and then showing everyone how much they are making with the B3. I don't understand why 700+ machines would be on the Antpool BTM site (according to the current hash-rate that they are reporting) and not be getting any rewards. Makes NO sense! Thankfully, posts like this lead me to UUPool, which is yielding some pretty impressive rewards, but I have yet to be paid out on them. So, we will wait and see. I hate to think that the whole thing is rigged...but that would be par for the course.

Has anyone received their B3 yet? I am interested to know what the actual specs are. Is it getting a better hash rate than listed, and can you adjust the frequency? How much ROI are you making with these puppies? I had one in my shopping cart yesterday ready to buy and my time ran out to send the payment and I went back to re-add the miner to my shopping cart and they were sold out. It is funny how the description page for the Antminer B3 does not even say what algorithm or coin it mines. I was looking everywhere trying to find it, until I finally just googled it.
It is getting advertised hashrate, frequency is not adjustable in GUI. I checked the firmware and it appears that this is an FPGA and twelve Bitmain BM1680 (SC1) Tensor processors. |

Anyone one else from batch 1 still waiting for shipping confirmation? It seems like people are getting them tomorrow and mine hasn't even left the warehouse yet...
Check your payment confirmation date. For some reason, Bitmain has mine as being made almost three days after I received payment confirmation!  Just checked, and mine is the same way, three days later, even thought I got the email right away. Are you still waiting for your order to ship as well? Idk if this is an issue or if it's just some glitch that happens to everyone. Yes, still waiting for mine to ship. I opened a ticket because my order shows that it was paid three days after I got email confirmation that my LTC had cleared. They said that sometimes, the status change from "Awaiting Payment" to "Paid" is a manual process and basically told me to pound sand until it ships because they are in a different city than the warehouse and can't do anything. But there are other people on Discord who say that they ordered on 4/27 and paid at 1pm (4/28 confirmation payment for China's time) and their order will be delivered tomorrow. I just chatted with them asking if there was some issue with my order because of the payment discrepancy, and they just said that the shipping period goes to the 10th, and that if it hasn't shipped by the 11th to contact them again. My order says paid rather than expired though like it would have it they really didn't get paid for 3 days, so I think they are just slow in the shipping department. On the bright side though, they changed my order price to $1875 without me even asking though, so I assume I'm getting a refund. Since they changed the price of the order on their own, I'll hold off submitting a ticket for it for a few days to see if they send instructions on their own. Edit: Also, I paid in LTC, and I realize you did as well. I wonder if this is their passive aggressive way of dicking people over who didn't pay in BCH... Yeah I was basically told that it would ship next week at some time. Super annoyed at this entire situation, as Bitmain keeps messing the entire launch of this miner up. First the price, then the refunds, then the shipping. It never ends. |

Holy Crap! I sent in a refund request from reading about it on here and got the canned response, ok fine. But, I just noticed that my order has been retroactively changed to show an $1875 purchase price down from $2453. Looks like some refunds are on the way. Pretty cool!

I just wrote a scathing complaint. WTF?! You don't treat early adopters like this!! I will NEVER go out on a limb like this again in the future. F*ck Bitmain  It's absolutely amazing that you people bitch so much about Bitmain. I bought 2 in the first batch and another today in the second batch because I believe that a company that made $4 billion last year knows what the hell they are doing. What if they know that this machine will net $200 a day for the first 7 days? That means that you made more money than the 2nd batch could literally ever make. Ever. People, chill out for a few days and let things air out. You might be surprised at how well Bitmain will treat it's early adopters. Also, keep in mind that this is Bitmain's baby.. this isn't a pump and dump, this is THEIR coin, THEIR technology. Then they should be treating the image of it better. I spoke with Bitmain support and they indicated that they are still doing "research" on how to compensate overseas. Looks like we will not be getting a symmetrical compensation to mainland China. Please make sure you email sales.support@bitmain.com and open a ticket at http://support.bitmain.com (do both) to make your voices heard. Without complaints, we will be brushed aside. |
