Easiest fix is to dump Windows and run an actual mining OS based on linux. They are more reliable and will increase your profits just by the fact that you dont ever have to mess with them. I have linux miners with uptimes of over 150 days just mining away happily without ever being touched.

I had linux installed before w10 and it crashed me every 3 days

have you tried re-install card driver?

may you have some failed update on your windows, check it! another way you can try to rollback your windows

okok will check it many thanks

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.6 (Windows/Linux) on: March 31, 2018, 08:31:25 PM
hihi all

I have updates it to v11.6 but it says

eth stratum connected eth-eu nanopool.org:9999 (unsecure)

Whats with the unsecure part?

I have already read the readme file but i cant find the solution?

can you help me the noob guys Cheesy

its a connection between your miner and the pool, if you want it more secured then use the SSL port

otherwise its a default connection where I also use it

Is it safe to use it "unsecure"?

yeah, what I could do is to set some security of my PC and close some ports one example is -mport options

So far. no attempts made idk if its just a waste of time penetrating my rigs though  Cheesy

Haha okok but there is nobody who has a solution for the "unsecure" problem who can help me with this

Wtf? The solution is to use ssl pools. "Unsecured" text is just a graphical bling bling to promote users to use ssl pools so you cant cheat his miner, thats all.

Using Claymore miner you might as well use the secure port if you're mining on a pool that supports ssl.
The miner will use the ssl connection anyway no matter which you select if the pool supports it.
You can use the unsecure port 4444 if you want, but the dev fee will use the secure 5555 port anyway.
So on any pool that supports the secure 5555 you're not going to cheat him becuase he is going to dev fee on the secure.
There is no cheat any more because the ssl is encryped and none of the work arounds that used to redirect the dev fee
back to your wallet work.

Ah okok so theres nothing worried to about

Well, let me make one thing clear, if you use the unsecured port you are opening up yourself for an attack
from the web backbone that can redirect all your shares to their account. It has already happened a few times.
It's not your PC itself that is in jepordy but the link to the pool.

So, my advice is always use the secured port. There is no good reason not to since the miner dev fee is already
going to that secure port.

Can you tell how do i do that me is noob Cheesy

Hihi all

I have 8 gtx 1060 6 gb

I get around 23 mhs OC.

Is this ok or can i get more mhs.

Pls advise

Run GPU-z and see what vendor of DDR5 memory your cards have.
 Check them one by one.
23 usualy is normal for Micron.
The other chance is you did not overclock enough your Samsung memory to go to 24-25

I have crucial ddr4 mem 2 x 4gb

LOL...

Dude he’s talking about your video memory. Not system memory.

My bad how do i check my vid mem

Oops  Grin

Goodmorning gentlemans,

I have 2 questions,

I use v10.0 is this ok? Or is better the use always the newest. I have tried newest but for some reason v10.0 works for me more stable at the moment.

The second qeustion is I have 8 gtx 1060 6 gb. Whats the max mhs ofcourse stable what I can get.
I get now around 23 mh per card OC.

Thx in advanced
I've got 10*1060*6GB Palits and I'm getting 24.3MH stable on 11.5, paired with almost useless blake2s @ dcri 45... because I do have cheap electricity:)

How do you did that  Grin

someone is mining zero with 1060 6gb and linux? can share some results?

i am now at home. rig is at the office  Grin

can you tell me more info of your friends config

Share your configurations! Would be good for others to use to see if they get the same results.

I will share but I am at home now. Our business is closed today and with all respect im not going back to the office today. So thats why I asked whats your friends setup.

What I can tell you is that the change from linux to w10 helped me alot. with linux crashed alot etc etc etc

considering i can only get 18,5 mh/s out of my GTX 1060 6gb hynix memory, i would say you are very lucky to get 8 of them to run 23mh/s

I had some serious issues with the rig rofl to long story to tell.

It works now fine on w10 x64 and msi afterburner.

My rig works almost flawless with v10.0 all higer versions are not stable for me

its not usually applicable and will always depend on your requirements, new version has new kernels which imprroves a bit in AMD's hashrate, not sure thought with Nvidias as I've seen recent post that it has no significant changes and they've problem on newest versions.
