1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion Paycoin XPY xpy.io ION ionomy. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: April 25, 2016, 09:41:52 PM
Call me a Shill call me what you want but look at this from a realistic perspective. Don't waste your time in mentioning I never post here but these rumors about ION are just downright ridiculous now. Read the following.

-The individual behind XPY was originally Josh Homero Garza. He's about to get fucked and well deserved.
-He lied to his investors and people lost a lot of money including myself.
-Investors in XPY tried to save the coin but it failed.
-The individuals behind ION were big investors in XPY but the real scammer there is Josh Garza, the others really just tried to save their own money and rescue something, and used as scapegoats for it's failure.

Now ask yourself this:

Do you really think somebody would use their same name, put hours and hours of work into another coin development project that (btw: has amazing potential) to do the same thing that XPY did to a lot of people in the crypto space ? If the people behind ION are as culpable of a scam as much as you deem them to be..these people would be in jail...no men with wife and or kids that don't hide their identity would fathom the idea and a lot of individuals here that claim scam..I understand the skepticism and XPY is forever tainted but these are real people with real jobs and families and aspirations that were all victims to XPY and they have gathered to hit an untapped market and incorporate it into crypto.

Some of you have way to much time on your hands. I myself am invested and im excited to see where it goes.

May the trolling begin Smiley

There are just too many similarities. I wouldn't touch it with a 20 foot pole but then again I do not see amazing potential cloning coins.
All anyone is saying is be careful. Look for the warning signs before emptying your wallet because " you believe". There are over 2000 pages here of warning signs and saying be careful just to be called fudders.
Maybe if the whales had an open mind they would not have lost as much. I got out when the fake hashlets starting paying poorly and they were going to start mining hash points. And not for bitcoin but a new coin. WTF?

Not what I signed up for
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW Miners (Scrypt ASIC seller) independent feedback thread on: July 03, 2014, 02:50:36 AM
I sent a ticket into support on 6/29 about my A2 miner being down. It shows up in the UI but I can not restart it and most importantly no hashing is being reported pool side. My ticket number is 19120. I also replied to this ticket on 6/30 just to get a update or when my miner might be back up but I have gotten no response at all. I have been with GAW since before they even had a UI available but it seems there ticket turn around time is increasing.

Please PM me on Hastrader.com or email me at amber@gawminers.com

I will be happy to look into your order.

Please look into support ticket 19239.

Miners went down on June 30th and issues have not been resolved.

Same here. support ticket # 18972 since 6/28. have had no response at all except the automated one. I also emailed Amber.

I have had good experiences with single units. Shipped fast and included USB and power pigtails. The last 2 singles I bought came with actual power supplies so I was blown away.

I decided to try a hosted miner and I am beginning to see why it is free.
My experience so far with it is that it is not stable at all. Lost a whole day of mining due to support tickets going unanswered.

I have also not had the best experiences with the support staff.

Found out the hard way you have to be invited to access the remote UI for the hosted miners.

Just keeps getting better.

5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Block Erupters 32gh/s clicks and shut down on: January 29, 2014, 02:32:54 PM
I had a similar problem with my first cube. The only difference is mine shut off completely after the click. I had to let it sit a while and power cycle the PSU.
Then it would run again for between 30 minutes to an hour and a half, click and shut off again. I thought power at first but had the same problem with a Corsair 850 so I stuck a giant fan behind it and it has been running with no problems ever since. You do want to make sure the screws on the heat sinks on the blades are tight and blades are properly seated in the grooves.
6  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] ASICMiner Cubes. 30-38gh/s - USA - 1 BTC - Price protection! on: November 30, 2013, 12:34:31 PM
I will take one. I will send the funds as soon as they all confirm in my wallet.

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: coinbase ran out of btc on: November 18, 2013, 06:21:24 PM
As someone else already mentioned, I experienced this during the last bubble/crash. Each time in this period when BTC went down to a decent buy level when I would go to buy I would get that message of exceeding their buy limits for the day etc..

It is hard to buy something you don't know what the value would be in 5 days. Other than that I have had a decent experience on Coinbase.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Review of my experience with Coinbase.com on: November 14, 2013, 06:37:02 PM
I have been using them for a while now and for the most part have no issues. Back when the price fluctuated a lot when the price went down considerably I could never buy any bitcoins. Something about they reached their limit or something but cashing out has always been pretty easy. Fortunately I never had a need for support.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC crash poll on: November 14, 2013, 03:44:52 PM
it won't crash. Bitcoin has seen many trials and tribulations over its life and I think it is strong enough now to withstand. Sure it will go up and down but crash? I don't think so. I was suprised it survived the SR takedown myself.

For alt coins I would say LTC would be the best. Somehow FTC is still hanging on but the rest in my opinion are nonsense. There are so many alt coins now I can see how it could be confusing. There are also a few pools that do automatic switching to the most profitable coin at the time. Multipool.us is one of them and there are a few more.

I have been a lurker on these forums for a few years now and just decided to create an account. I kind of understand the restrictions for people new to bitcoin and/or to forums in general but there should be a better way to determine an newbie status.
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Had 4 erupters going by now only 3 are being detected. on: November 14, 2013, 02:58:30 PM
You will probably have better luck on Windows 7 but I agree it sounds like a power issue. Even on powered hubs I run into trouble if I try to run too many erupters. It's a delicate balance of power with those things. What you could do is try them 1 at a time and see if the driver loads on each one, then slowly add one at a time till you see the problem.

If you are looking for simplicity then Minepeon is the way to go in my opinion. You can be up and running on that software in minutes even if your linux knowledge is not that great. All you do is find the ip address and connect with the web client to configure.
