More threats. Sad.

Now that Safe dev team have forked to a new chain is anyone still mining Safe classic chain? I'm confused why you chose to concede so quickly, when The DAO fork happened ethereum devs had millions of dollars worth of losses at stake, and even then they obviously chose to fork with heavy hearts. You guys cut and ran without a fight at all, as soon as you felt some heat you hit blockchain reset instantly, which doesn't make investors feel very secure, or Safe .... i don't get it. If an exchange or regulator squeezed you guys in the future, I guess you'd fork again, hey.

Hey hoss how you doing? Just fyi, if there was a CEC (Crypto Exchange Commission) the ones being squeezed right now would be KMD. What they did may be illegal. Just fyi hoss. Have a SAFE day!

...We mined through the difficulty and brought it back down to normal before still deciding to roll back. I don't understand why you are trying to dispute this.
I'm not disputing that fact; I'm saying that that fact alone make makes this notSafecoin, because at any time transactions can be mutable by a centralized handful of people in some random social media outlet, despite the fact that there's no valid reason to make currency transactions mutable or that protocol consensus did not agree with the actions of said handful stealing the currency from my miners.

You seem to want to glaze over the fact that currency was, literally, taken from those that rightfully had ownership of it. There's a word for that "theft".

This "roll back" to "fend off an attack" was nothing more than outright theft.

Even if one were to agree that certain actors were "attacking" the network (which I still say is utter bullshit; because, protocol), that only excuses taking currency for those that consensus believes acted in bad faith (examples of this would be ETH and DAO funds or TETHER and treasury funds). Stealing the currency out of the wallets of valid transactions that were supposed to be immutable and had nothing to do with the alleged "attack" is theft and, literally, makes this an unSafecoin to even attempt to try to own.

Why even have "private keys" when a random centralized group that makes up only 5% of consensus can just take your currency away from you? Of what validity is trying to claim "zCash Privacy" when an extreme minority can steal your private currency out of your wallet because they are mad at someone else?

Your grasping at straws. This coin isn't even on an exchange. Had it been, things may have went differently. Thank God it wasn't.
What does a currency being on an exchange and being treated as a commodity have to do with stealing the currency out of people's private wallets (the wallets that were supposed to have "zCash Privacy")?
You're trying to say that it's OK to steal currency from people because other people aren't it as notcurrency, but if a currency were on some random exchange and being treated as a noncurrency, then the centralized 5% of the known community wouln't have voted to steal the currency from people using the currency as currency?

You're welcome to continue mining the old chain and bring it to market.

What are you complaining about exactly?
That I have to cover the blocks of my miners because the centralization of this coin destroyed immutability.  Roll Eyes
Ask jl777 for reimbursement, or is it CryptoLuck07? I can't keep it straight  Kiss
Can you point me to the place where they created mutability in notSafecoin?  Roll Eyes

It was block 236,000 for Komodo if that's what you want to call a rollback.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 25, 2018, 01:17:55 AM
Notary nodes providers are in arms defending dPoW from a wannabee benefactor of the technology. Let him spread false hood that eventually nobody would ever believe his/her statements. Komodo is an open source software that anybody could replicate it but  without in-depth knowledge of this super complex dPoW architecture. The said copier will find it hard to implement.

Bizarre. Where have I said anything negative about dPoW that would require anyone to defend dPoW? It's fantastic tech.

We accept the challenge. You can laugh if we fail.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 10:16:03 PM
gfigg42, anyway - currently i see only words, like "we planned dPOW in future", "we will do ... ", "we will send people to Mars" ... in future ... may be ... But on Git - i see only copy&pasted code and bunch of "fixes", hasty attempts to correct mistakes of SAFE devs misunderstandings basics.

And all blames and insults here - don't look good and reduce your credibility among community, at least because these insults against creators of 99.999999999% of SAFE sources. It's better to don't waste time here on "bad words" and focus on your project.

We were focused on our project until their little stunt blew up in both our faces. Since then we have been "focused" enough to accomplish a fork that KMD did not think we could manage. We've restarted our chain, and removed the notary node vulnerability. For now we function as a pure POW coin like 99.99% of the coins out there. Implementation of further features is common in forks and we fully intend to embrace dPoW but in our way. KMD wants new code? They just got some and they're going to see more. Is that enough "focus" for you?

Perhaps KMD could use some of this "focus" on their own coin instead of shitting on a tiny fork coin because they thought we weren't sufficiently bending the knee to our masters? How about some "focus" on what's important to their coin, not their overblown egos. We respect the KMD code or we wouldn't have undertaken this project. We believe it's the best there is or we wouldn't be here dealing with this bullshit.

There may be other vulnerabilities in our fork. We are not gods. Perhaps KMD would be kind enough to point them out to us instead of conspiring for new ways to exploit them?

Also to be clear. I have no access to any of the pre-mine fund. ZERO. Nor do I want it.

It's coming together nicely. Miners are mining blocks they should have gotten in the first place. New pools being added. It's a glorious day.

We've even had a chance to update safecoin.org

Everyone should give it a look!

Hi gfigg42,

I am new to this thread. Are you one of the Development member? Since the website is down at the moment and I am curious. You are beginning very active with this thread. The one is in charge on the website is beginning childish. Just focus on the problem, fixed it, and move on.

We did fix it. And frankly at least jl777 came to us after he broke the diff and told us what happened. But he wasn't truthful about his intentions. Have you read the slack? I'm told it's still there in all it's glory. We have the screenshots so denying it is impossible. Yet he persists.

However that being said, SAFE is now a stronger coin. I just don't get why he didn't take 5 seconds to consider not what he could do, but if he should do it. We are rightly angry about the situation. jl777 is free to explain the context of his quote that was on safecoin.org at any time. Can you blame us for having a little fun?

I am not a dev. I am an unpaid volunteer team member for testing and community management. I was the first node on the fork last night.

I give a brief synopsis of my involvement with SAFEcoin a couple of posts back. Thank you.

P.S. Website is back to serious business.

...You are welcome to mine the coins but on a level playing field.
Not to complicated thought process, right?
So, does that mean if I mine the chain with 40k sol/s it will be rolled back again or you're going to give every miner 40k sol/s to be "on a level playing field" with my setup? Those are the only 2 options without you being utterly full of shit.

Careful mate! You might burn your rig down with that straw man!

Confirmed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2838370.msg33070111#msg33070111

SAFE is rolling back their blockchain due to the small amount of coins that were notary mined. Integrity of the 4 million premined must be preserved at all costs, cant have that diluted by a few percent! The losses to miners who were mining after their rollback point is about the same as the number of coins that were notary mined.

At least the SAFE is a bit safer with the new changes, though it seems very likely other issues are still there. please be nice to SAFE since they are such nice people and please dont take advantage of the attack vectors they left in the code. it would be so wrong to do that to these nice people.

Too bad they are stealing all the coins that were properly notary mined. Seems a bit strange they accuse so loud of stealing when they are the onces in fact stealing coins from properly mined coins. I guess what can be expected from a fully centralized coin with giant premine and lots of stealth mining.

You mad bro?

I am nobody, not Dev or even a simple C programmer, on technical issues I know very little but I do know this:

You gfigg42 have done a great job of making sure I never go any where near MaidSafe - Safecoin, thank you very much for the heads up.

Thanks. Coming from someone not even bright enough to know Maidsafe and SAFEcoin are unrelated projects, it means a lot. Also Maidsafe is a dead coin.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 07:33:03 PM
When the KMD dev sees a flaw in our code and chooses to exploit it, it's a problem. Do you think we intended for Komodo genesis notaries to be able to mine free coins? Was that our mistake, hell yes it was and it was a damn bad one because it turns out the KMD devs are not to be trusted.
Why do you so sure that was KMD dev team members mined your coin?

Simple really. I have screen shots of their slack channel that prove it.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SAFE][dPOW] Safecoin - Komodo Fork - zCash Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: March 24, 2018, 07:17:31 PM
Safecoin is not a fork of Komode. It's a clone of Komodo and removed some of their features. Is there a whitepaper I can look it to see what make safecoin different from KMD?
They have a nice 4 million (of 36 million total) premine and frontloaded lots of coins with 128 coins per minute block rewards.

They also will rollback the chain if you mine coins in a way they dont like. I guess you need to be part of some inner circle in order to get low cost coins. I would have donated the coins if they just asked for them, but instead they go on a rampage against me. for less than $1000 worth of coins no matter how you count it.

SAFE will centrally rollback to steal 60,000 coins if the wrong person (like the creator of the original they cloned) gets them. So, I dont feel much problems with announcing that the new update is indeed still vulnerable to attack vectors. I dont like when banks just freeze your account and you cant get your own money. This is the same thing. my coins are being stolen, that doesnt make me happy.

To all the miners who mined after 57980 and are also having your coins stolen, I guess you are ok with that?

Or maybe nobody is really mining this other than insiders. Anyway the original chain is still alive and maybe we can keep it alive.   "difficulty": 137847.9401183311,

Don't worry. We left a few blocks in for posterity's sake. You can have those.

Please fork us to Safecoin Classic lmao
you already forgot you are the first to fork, to rollback SAFE

the original chain is not forked

We are the real chain. We were forced into drastic measures by your scheming and incompetence. Call it what you will.

I think the proper way to look at it is that we haven't activated all of the features yet because the coin is only 6 weeks old. There was no "stealth mine." Just a quiet launch because we're trying to build a community while we build the coin. Premine was clearly stated. I don't think we're the first coin with a premine? We've had no ICO and have had no coin sales. Premine is for further development and exchange listings in the future. We've done nothing ethically wrong. There was some questionable verbiage jl777 took umbrage with, fair enough. In fact he contacted us and asked for changes and we gladly made them. We never had a bad word to say about KMD team ever. We love the tech. Why else fork it?

We are being attacked and slandered by the KMD team for simply forking their coin. If this coin is so worthless and terrible, why were they so interested in stealing as much of it as they could?

I found this coin in it's infancy and I mined it with my own equipment. Only later was I asked to join the team and do what I could to help. I have received nothing, nor do I expect to receive anything from Safecoin, beyond the coins I mine.

Technical questions about implementation of further features as we recover from this malicious attack can be asked here and they will be gladly answered.
