How are the Winners Chosen

Every Sunday, the DarcMatter team will review telegram analytics to determine the most active participants over the past week. The DarcMatter team will announce three winners at 8pm EST (GMT -8). Three winners will be selected based on the following items:

2) Quality of content

3) Engagement with the rest of the community


What is the Reward?

DarcMatter’s telegram champions will receive stakes in DMC. These stakes will be paid in the following amounts:

We think the main reason for winning this award was due to our user growth as we continued to build the platform. We were able to onboard more investors in the U.S. and Asia, along with increasing the number of alternative investment firms/funds available on DarcMatter. We were honored to receive the recognition!

We decided to go with NEM vs. ERC20 for a few reasons:
1. The core technology and inception for NEM was specifically created for the more robust financial use case as in the situation with DarcMatter
2. The ease of use with developers and ability to modify the solution we believe to be much better than other blockchains in the market today
3. The ease of a blended public and private use case also drew us as well.
4. PoI (Proof of Importance) is something that is very important to us and we have our own custom modifications to what's important for the network.

In general:
NEM has a very strong team of developers and a great vision which was driven around the development of the underlying technology and its efficient use. There has been significant work that has been put into making the NEM blockchain accessible and modifiable in a much more scalable fashion than others including Ethereum. While the technology is very well designed for platform building for secure transactions such as alternative investments, it also utilizes significantly less power in its harvesting process as opposed to high energy use from mining of other cryptocurrencies; all of which create positive benefits for DMC and DarcMatter.

Premise
DarcMatter is an existing platform for accredited investors to invest in alternative investments. Whereas normal investors can only invest in stocks, bonds, and other investments open to ordinary retail investors, accredited investors have a much greater variety of options, such as hedge funds, private equity, commodities, and derivative contracts. This is an extremely large market, measured in the trillions of dollars, and DarcMatter brings these investment options into one transparent platform that connects investors and these investment options.

This existing platform is already a successful business, but DarcMatter is now planning to use blockchain technology to improve it further. Using the NEM blockchain, they plan to digitize many of the currently manual processes involved in getting information about funds and investing in them, in the process improving transparency and efficiency.

Summary
DarcMatter is an ICO trying to disruptive a large incumbent industry, which is nothing new, except this ICO has a decent chance at succeeding. Its CEO helped negotiate some of the key regulations such as the JOBS act which underpins today’s alternative investment industry. Unlike other ICOs, we see very little regulatory risk with this one.

There are risks. Incumbent industries have vested interests in the status quo. However the market is large enough(trillions of dollars) that even a mild disruption could result in huge benefits. There will be 1,000,000,000 DarcMatter Coins (DMC) created in total. The pool of community rewards will award a total of 5,000,000 DMC’s. The breakdown based on each campaign is outlined below.

To participate in the DMC program, you must email DMC-CR@darcmatter.com, with the subject “CR — Participate <Telegram Name>”
After you have sent us an email, help grow the DMC community by spreading the word, as per the directions below.

●   5 stakes: Register on DarcMatter as an individual Accredited Investor
